I needed a reasonably priced place to stay for a recent business trip as other hotels in the area were quite expensive. The room was clean, bed and pillow comfortable, and the staff were great. Especially the staff when we checked in Monday evening. They were helpful, happy, and professional. There is a nice covered patio where they serve breakfast and the staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants in walking distance. Other reviews mentioned the street noise - which there is some based... Read more

Our front desk receptionist was awesome! She was so helpful, outgoing and kind. Holiday Inn is lucky to have her. We are from Las Vegas and have stayed in many different resorts. Jenny is definitely on the top of the list. Whatever Holiday Inn is paying her it is not enough give that girl a raise. We will always stay here on our trips from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

Even though they were undergoing renovations, the friendly staff was MORE than helpful to be sure we were happy with our room and routes to surrounding sights. Ask for a back room to avoid the traffic noises. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast included. We were there for only one night and needed a place with a good value that had access to the Getty, Santa Monica Pier, and Griffith Park. The pier and park were a typical LA traffic encounter, but the Getty was just 10 minutes up the 4... Read more

We were told when we made the reservation that the elevators were out. They offered to give us HH points or a discount. It is located on the on ramp to the southbound 405. Our room was on the quiet side of the building. The free breakfast was served outside under a tent on the first floor across from our room. It was very efficient and adequate, but very strange. Not a good place if it rained, but that rarely happens in L.A. The garage is not gated. It is very conveniently located.

Everyone at this hotel was courteous and friendly. As.ac Guest, I felt that my business was appreciated and would gladly stay here again.. I especially liked access to my car easily for convenience of the garage. The rooms are clean and the daily maid service left nothing to be desired. They did a faboulous job. The free continental breakfast was a plus. There was a variety of food and the host was a great addition to the dining. Joshua greeted my daughter and I each morning and his cheerf... Read more

Awesome breakfast and great rooms . Really great beds and pillows. The parking garage makes you feel your vehicle is safe from being burglarized or from even weather. The shower has great water pressure and the most important thing is the smell of the room which it didn't smell like an old hotel and the a/c was nice and cold to the point that we would turn it off.

Rooms very very clean. Breakfast was awesome. Young man that greeted us at the breakfast was very friendly and accommodating. We were going to see my Father in the VA hospital for his birthday and needed just one candle for his cake. Monica went out of her way and actually went and bought us candles. Customer Service at its finest. Thank you

Clean room with a great bed, and, even though it's right next to the San Diego Freeway (the 405), amazingly quiet. It was actually great having the freeway so close-by, especially for quick trip (not during the morning or evening rush of course) to the San Fernando Valley and the South Bay (Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, etc.). The breakfast service was fairly nice, but, if you come down close to closing time, the assistant manager will not-so-discreetly hover over you to remind you that it's t... Read more

This place is all about the location--it's an easy find right off the 405 on Santa Monica Blvd (3rd St Promenade and Santa Monica Pier are just a 10-min drive away; UCLA and even USC are easy drives). It's a safe, walkable neighborhood (close to The Village Recording Studios, ALDC/Abby Lee Dance Company, and lots of little restaurants). Everyone from the parking/valet attendant to reception to housekeeping was approachable, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable (the breakfast attendant was a bit of a... Read more

My wife stayed here while she was in LA for a business trip. The rooms all open to in an indoor open courtyard. The room was very big and very clean. Breakfast is served in that outdoor courtyard and the weather is always nice so that was a nice touch. Parking is $22 a day and it can be valet or park yourself in the underground garage. Short drive to Santa Monica pier down Santa Monica Blvd and about a 10 minute drive to Culver City, which is where we had dinner and drinks the two nights I ... Read more

We met the cleaning staff in the elevators and they always spoke and asked about our day and if we needed anything! They went out of their way to assist us. We meet Joshua in the breakfast area one morning and he remembered us the next morning. He was VERY NICE! The two ladies in the breakfast area were also wonderful and also spoke to us and ... Want to share an instance, Mr. Joshua helped us to identify all that we needed for breakfast, as we wanted something only in vegetarian, so he was bringing all the required stuff from kitchen to check the ingredients, this was very impressive. Joshua W. Was a great advisor that was really helpful and was always in a bubbly mood. It was nice to have someone to talk to about our trip, and was refreshing to have a conversation with him to get us up in the morning. The breakfast was pretty good, and the room was nice. A little muggy smell, nothing terrible. Liked the Parking garage.

From the wonderful valet service, to the efficient front desk, to the thorough cleaning staff and Guest Services...this place feels warm and familiar on our very first visit. Simple, clean and easily accessible to the highway. And then there is Joshua from Guest Services that is a ray of sunshine even on a cloudy morning. I am very glad to have found this gem.

We loved staying at this hotel for 4 days. The location is litterally right off the freeway and just a short drive to Santa Monica and Venice Beaches. We were in town for UCLA orientation and the hotel is just a few miles from the campus. The daily breakfast was outstanding and the staff made sure that none of the food ran out. We were very pleased. The Hotel staff are all very pleasant and the rooms were clean. The Wifi worked very well too!

We wanted a hotel reasonably priced but closer to the coast than the city. That is what we got. It was not an area to venture out. We just slept there and enjoyed their great hot continental breakfast before we were on our way. The hotel itself was a little outdated and in need of repair but the rooms were clean and comfy for a night or two. They did have self parking which is always more reasonable than valet. The parking is under the building and has a direct entrance into the hotel. It is in... Read more

We arrived in LA quite early (about 10am) and were not able to check in right away, but guiseppe made us feel at home in the comfortable seating area at the front. Conveniently they have water, coffee and cookies available for guests. On getting to our room it was clean and quiet although the hotel is on a large intersection. We spent 2 nights at this hotel and found it acceptable. Below are some highlights: Location: Just off the 405 highway, the neighborhood is a bit boring and there's not much around. You can, however, drive 10 to 15 minutes away and find yourself in the lively 3rd street and Santa Monica Pier. Service: Staff was friendly and professional Room: clean with comfortable beds. Getting in and out of the parking garage is a nightmare and I wish we would've just kept our street parking but the hotel is very nice. The breakfast was ok and I wish they had a waffle machine instead of the weird pancakes. The hotel rooms were very clean with huge tvs and then bathroom was spotless. I would recommend friends and family to stay here if they are in the area.

I found the location to be quite uncomfortable and I was very happy walking around here. It was also quite difficult to get anywhere from here. The staff were however helpful and friendly. Stayed here for an interview and felt very uncomfortable the whole time. The place felt moldy and sweaty. I tried turning in the a/c but a pungent smoky smell came out that remained for my entire stay. The daily breakfast was nice but given the neglected condition of he rooms and halls, I wasn't comfortable eating any food there. Also, it's not a good location. First of all, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the hotel is convenient to the freeway, West LA and Santa Monica. Unfortunately for me, the rooms were dingy and did have a moldy kind of smell. Like another reviewer stated, if you need a bed and a shower, go for it. Otherwise, spend the extra money for somewhere else.
