We stayed here one night before boarding Norwergian Mexican Riviera Cruise. First, The hotel is NOT in the terminal, and you will have to wait for a shuttle on the curb. We had to wait for approximately 35-30 minutes, and it was probably the worst shuttle bus I have seen. Really weird bus, where you had to climb some 3-4 really high steps to get in and really uncomfortable to hoist the heavy suitcases. So this is not a shuttle if you have physical difficulties. Second, the check-in is not the ... Read more

I stayed here for a night before I made my was to Vegas. The rooms were small, bed was a little hard. I did enjoy my buffet breakfast, and staff were very nice and welcoming. The hotel is not to far from the Int airport, located to bars and restaurants. If you are doing a stop over, I would recommend this hotel. However if your looking at more than 2 nights with family or your on a holiday I would recommend you stay else where.

The staff were super nice, helpful and efficient. They answered all our questions including printing our boarding passes. Additionally, it was located less than a mile to our rental car drop-off, an easy walk back to the hotel. The breakfast was great and the dining room large and comfortable. Several restaurants within walking distance. We loved the heated outdoor pool and hot tub. The shuttle was quick with about 10 minute ride to the airport. Terrible room, stunk of stale cigarette smoke. Called down to front desk and they said all there rooms were smoke free. Didn't expect a lot staying at an airport hotel but this was unbearable, hardly slept, got to the airport 4 hours early just to get away from the smell. Clearly, they need an update to get rid of the past years of allowing smoking in the rooms. Never offered us a solution. Thanks from a Holiday Inn Gold Elite member!

The best thing about this hotel was the staff at the desk, who are genuinely helpful. For the price we paid free parking and breakfast make the hotel an attractive offer. Good rooms for plane spotting! Rooms could do with double glazing, our room was noisy at night due to traffic on the road.

The hotel itself is functional and clean, the bed is comfy and the staff very helpful. However, I had to wait in the cold at night for 45 minutes for the shuttle bus and the whole point of staying at an airport hotel for the convenience and proximity to the airport is totally defeated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel simply because of that.

Best breakfast during our California road trip for this type of hotel. The warm scones are wonderful. Free parking but it was busy and we were nervous about not getting a spot due to some weddings. We overlooked the parking lot of a restaurant and it made us realize that we would not want to walk anywhere in the area. There are even signs about being careful when you go out to your car. Average room but it was fine. Good central location to get around LA - close to major highways -we stayed 3... Read more

The room was beautiful, It was clean and well appointed. The decor was neutral in its tones no one would be offended by the colour. However I found myself at this hotel because of delayed flights. I was travelling with an elderly person who through exhaustion because of the travel and delays needed a wheelchair. Sadly the hotel did not have one. We had to use a office chair from the business centre with no help from the staff. In this age of inclusion I would of expected the hotel to have a basi... Read more

No refrigerator or microwave. No clock in the room. Remodeled Howard Johnson. Breakfast was good, large selection, must have some issues with freeloaders, because they make you show your room key to get breakfast. Way overpriced, when I complained about no microwave, refrigerator or clock they credited us $57.00. That was satisfying.

The hotel is great for a stopover in LAX. It's not really on "hotel row" and any adjacent dining facilities are rather sparse. The hotel is clean and well run, the fitness room has all new equipment and the breakfast room provides a good breakfast. The rooms are what one would expect for a Holiday Inn, the beds was comfortable. A word of caution here: when you arrive at LAX you must phone the hotel for a shuttle. I found the room very expensive for what it is: average size, sad rooms, old style decoration. You have to call from the airport phones in the arrival hall if you need a pick-up; I assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that they have a bus service that constantly drives around, but they do not. Very nice staff and they granted me (an unsolicited) discount for the wait.

Near airport terminal but too far to walk. Get a cab for $10 and save time waiting ages for the hotel shuttle, which seems to only appear if requested via reception. Hotel is excellent, clean, comfortable and provides a very good free breakfast. No local extras to pay on the booking price. Has a gym but we didn't have time to use it. Stayed here the last night before return back from a two week holiday in California. It is an ordinary airport hotel with its pros and cons. Easy to find it when you approach LAX, plenty of parking lots, good reception service, clean rooms with acceptable wi-fi connection, not the most charming place to have a dinner at but OK since there are no charming places around anyway, convenient airport shuttle to the terminal.

We just needed a room for the night after arriving very late to the airport. Shuttle driver was great. Front desk agent was disinterested and actually had me sign the wrong registration form (for another guest) first. One of the dresser drawers wouldn't stay closed (could be a problem in the dark), and the fake leather of the ottoman was torn. There's a small shop with all kinds of travel necessities and sn... We stayed here after a long international flight since we had to catch a domestic flight the next afternoon. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Check-in/Check-out were both fast and efficient. We had a king room. It was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom was a good size and everything was clean there too. Breakfast wasn't bad either. For vegetarians like me, there were cheese omelettes. There were cereals, bread and bagels. I think... Read more

Close to LAX, ideal for short stay. Would not stay here for vacation or more than 2 nights. No fridge in room. Very busy hotel. It does have a restaurant with not bad bar food. Staff very pleasant. The hotels location is easy to find but not much going on restaurant Eisenhower in the area.

I stayed here on a Saturday night before flying out very early Sunday morning. Rode shuttle bus from LAX to hotel which runs every half an hour. Arrived at hotel a little before check in time of 3:00 p.m. but they were able to get me in a room early. I did not have time to eat the free breakfast Sunday morning. There are limited restaurant choices within walking distance but if you're in a car go to Marina Del Ray which is close by with lots of good restaurants. This is the 2nd time I've stayed ... Good: close to airport. free parking, free breakfast, free wifi. BAD: Nothing really significant but the elevators (2 of them) are a bit slow, and the room air conditioner is one of those by the window that kicks on intermittently with fan noise. This is good for a nights stay near the airport. The lobby is basic, nothing fancy. The rooms are well appointed with amenities you would expect: flat screen TV, coffee maker (Keurig), bathroom with shampoo, etc. beds are comfortable. There are free U... Read more

After the complete chaos of LA airport at Border Control (why do transit passengers have to go through Border Control anyway?) we missed our connecting flight, along with many other passengers. Having used Holiday Inns before we gave them a call and they had a room available and we caught the complimentary shuttle and checked in, finally dropping into bed around 1130pm after 30 hours on the go. It was a large room with huge and very comfortable bed. Our room faced the road, but the double glazin... Read more

Great welcome, staff & service. Location is great for LAX & Car Rental return and if I had a car, I would spend more than one night here. The price is a little high though for an express and airport location unlike the Crowne plaza but then again, HIE has free parking - Crowne Plaza down the road is $23! Room is nicely laid out, clean, comfy bed, big TV and enough outlets for my gadgets! There is a MacDonald's next door, restaurants galore close by and also a nice barber shop behind the hotel - ... Holiday Inn Express Los Angeles is on the road to return rental cars. It is 3 minutes down the road. It has a shuttle that will take you to the airport as well. Very friendly and convenient. The breakfast to typical fair found in all of the Holiday Inn Express hotels.

I stayed here overnight to catch an early flight in the morning. Shuttle leaves every 30 minutes on the hour to the airport. If you need a ride to the hotel you will need to call and request the shuttle. I traveled alone and felt safe at the hotel. Sandy at the front desk was super friendly and gave me tips on were to eat. She was a really nice lady ????? and even was kind enough to call and check on me to see if everything was ok in the room. She's a real class act I would definitely stay th... Read more

We moved my daughter from Texas to LA with a U haul so we needed a place to stay near the airport to catch an early flight the next morning. Very nice hotel. Great beds. The staff were very friendly and they had a covered garage which you don't see much with Holiday Inns. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Stayed there with family on last night of vacation to be close to airport. Was very quiet. Rooms were large, as were hallways. Gated pool and hot tub were a little on the smaller side, but not crowded. Nice staff. Missed the breakfast due to early plane. Self-park your car.

Needed a fairly expensive place to stay for a couple days - hotel was very clean and room was also in good shape - don't like that they charge for parking - but that's California I guess. Hotel is just a few blocks from an interstate and train station so you will hear that noise if you are not a sound sleeper. Overall a good value for the cost

I stay in a lot of HIE hotels and this one exceeded my expectations. The front counter staff was very friendly and helpful with all my needs. There is on site parking with no charge. Rooms were clean and modern. Typical thru wall AC unit, typical loudness. No microwave nor fridge in my room. Was very quiet. Would not know near the airport. Hotel has a shuttle that runs every half hour. Breakfast starts early 530, good for those morning flight. I typically leave before they open, but not here. I ... Read more

What can I say about a hotel whose staff was pleasant and friendly from the front desk to the housekeeping to even the shuttle drivers. So if you will indulge my lengthy review.. here we go. I arrived early 9am at LAX and called the hotel for the shuttle. Waited a tad while as I thought I was standing at the wrong place. When it arrived I got in with light suitcase in tow. Made small talk with the driver as he and I mentioned about the weather being warmer than NYC. Arrived at the front lobby w... Read more

We stayed for a night before flying out the next morning, as it is convenient for LAX and has a complimentary shuttle. Nice hotel with comfortable beds. Service was good and staff helpful and friendly. Hotel has a guest laundry facility, which was useful. Plenty of restaurants and fast food places nearby, though some closed around 9.00pm. Enjoyed our stay.

Welcoming and comfortable economy hotel for a single night stop between flights. Big room was well equipped and beds were good quality. Breakfast was included and whilst a simple service it was all we needed before the next flight on our journey. Very welcoming and helpful staff on our late evening arrival.

I have stayed at countless LAX hotels. At a Holiday Inn Express you generally know what you will get. This is a plus in some ways since you are seldom disappointed. However there is only a limited upside here. However choosing an Express is done because it is expedient. One of the better options in the upper tier of budget hotels. So this Holiday Express provided me with what I needed for the night after a long flight in from Sydney, Australia. The room was clean. (I don't go down on hands and k... Read more

I booked via app and when checking in person in front of me was getting same room for less. I spoke up and asked for the same rate but Jose said "no" he cannot do that. It took another person to intervene and say "yes". That bothered me a bit. Room was small. I paid for a king room but got a queen bed. So uncool! The pillows need updated but bed was comfy. The TV was SMALL. I mean like 32 inches or so. For $170 a night the value was not good whatsoever. Pay 20 more and stay in a nicer, comfier... Read more

I was very grateful to be allowed to check in early. The people at the front desk were very nice, as were any other employees I encountered. The room itself we just average. Things seemed relatively clean but there was quite the buildup of dust behind the nightstand (moved it to find another outlet when the one in the lamp would not work properly). Noise level was relatively high from neighbors all around. Airport noise wasn't bad later at night until early morning. The breakfast was typical HI ... Read more

We stayed here on our last night of our LA visit. Check-in was quick and the guys working at the front desk were very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only issue is that the air vent in the bathroom wasn't working so it got a bit foggy/misty during showers. Breakfast was not the best but it was free! Spending time in Los Angeles can be very expensive for a family. This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we will continue to return. It's clean, location is right, and most of all it's affordable. Parking is included along with a very good warm breakfast to start your day in a very busy city. The great thing about this hotel is the free parking, and free shuttle to LAX. If you're in and out, the shuttle can be nice. At checkin, the staff was friendly. The only reason I gave this review 4 stars is because the room I received was dirty; it hadn't been made up. I went back down and the desk was very apologetic. Stuff happens, but when you've been traveling and all you want to do is lay down, going back down to switch rooms is a pain. The new room was satisfactory. The beds were clean,... Read more
