It use to be a time I look forward to traveling on business... a break from the norm of being in the office. Now business travel just means more work when I return.... I guess thats just personal, but the point is that when I do travel I want a place that is comfortable, clean, quiet, and has everything I need right in the hotel so I don't have to venture out unless I want to. That said... welcome to Hilton Los Angeles Airport. I never had to leave the hotel outside of taking care of the bu... Read more

Cool fact: if you're Hilton Diamond, you can skip the front desk and head to the 16th floor to check-in. That may not sound like much, but I saw many flight crews during my stay so if they all come in at once with the normal guest traffic, the front desk can get pretty busy. My room was spacious and bed was great. I also don't recall hearing any plane noise. It is a very busy hotel so you will hear guests conversing as they walk down the halls, but that's the reality at a large, occupied hot... Read more

Nice clean comfortable hotel and a great location. The hotel is a easy location to get an uber to any area of the city. The rooms are well decorated and the executive lounge has a great breakfast, snack hour and dessert hour. The gym is nice and updated with a lot of new equipment and more space than most hotel gyms.

I stayed here for a conference. The most important feature was the bed. Very comfortable. The Club level was only $30 more, way better than similar chain hotels and the desserts were yummy. The breakfast was not impressive. The hotel's food was more overpriced than similar hotels, I'd say. The staff was pretty nice and very helpful. I also liked being on the airport side, and though I heard the jets loud and clear, it did not bother me. Other conference-goers told me the other side was super q... Read more

stopped here for 1 night after a long flight - checked in online and got a digital key which was good. I am a gold member at Hilton so things such as water in room is expected - in this stay no water, no dressing gowns etc.. I also note there was no shampoo/shower gel in the room (shower cap was there) Room was OK although big stain on carpet.

I'm a Hilton diamond and have mainly stayed in properties in Europe and Asia where usually Hilton is high end. It is less so in America and do maybe I'd be less disappointed if the mediocre offering was what I was used to. The rooms are ok...beds are certainly comfortable. The bathroom has a VERY shallow baths typical of US hotels. All in all, room is fine. The executive lounge offering is pitiful.....hardly worthy of stopping by. The Hilton seems to be like most of the other airport hotels. Very busy with folk coming and going (probably for one night only like us) to the airport. The rooms were a little old fashioned but they were clean and the beds comfortable. The service was fine. The bar stays open quite late for food ( our burgers were OK). The Front Desk did their best to serve everyone and the Airport shuttle worked fine.

Quite expensive option considering you need to pay extra for wfi, parking and brekfast etc. The hotel is still nice and the beds very comfy however some parts are still a bit dated. If the price was more reasonable my rating would reflect. Somewhere like holiday inn is cheaper with similar room quality and free parking.

The family stayed here overnight en route to KOA. We arrived at 2200 and were gone by 0600 the following morning, so our experience was limited. The check-in was efficient, the room spacious and clean, decor perhaps slightly tired, room service OK - nothing special. The price was reasonable, so overall I was satisfied.

This is our second stay at this hotel... our first stay was approximately two years ago. This hotel is quite busy, but the service was excellent and room was fresh, well appointed and the decor was quite modern and very clean. We arrived around 7.30pm and couldn't be bothered with a formal dinner so we opted for a quick bite in 'The Bistro' which is situated in the main foyer of the hotel. At check-in, first they couldn't find our reservation. So it took 15 minutes extra. Okay it could happen in other hotels as well. Third day after the entire day in Disneyland, we went back and couldn't open with none of our key cards. In reception we were told to wait in a 10 minute long line. 10 more minutes before someone opens the door to our room. The door opens and the room is a total mess. No cleaning. 7pm! This Hilton is very convenient to LAX but not necessarily convenient to any of the LA attractions. The hotel shuttle to the airport took forever, though convenient. The room was very nice and had a cool view of the airport. It was very noisy listening to the planes but I happen to like the sound of planes overhead. If you are a light sleeper, they might be annoying. This would be typical of any airport hotel, though. The lobby has a few restaurants and conveniences, such as a Starbucks, wh... Read more

Staying at this Hilton for a convention. The room they gave me should only be given to guests who want to sleep during the day, the window faces a wall, one tiny sliver of natural light shines through for about an hour each day, depressed every time I return to my room (room 4071) Overpriced restaurants, the highest I have ever experienced. It is as long walk (about 35 minutes from T4) but I remember the shuttle being a zoo and didnt want to deal with it. Stayed here for less than 24 hours to be close to LAX. Pros: Very close to LAX, large sized room Cons: Hotel rooms / lobby / restaurants need a refresh. Reminded us of a casino / cruise ship. Elevators don't come frequently. Restaurants extremely expensive. So, if you need a hotel to sleep in to catch your flight, this is it. Otherwise, you may be disappointed.

We decided to spend a night in LAX on our way back from South America choosing the Hilton because of the chain's good reputation. Disappointingly the room's photos we saw online were different from what we got: the bathroom was very small, not clean, and the bath had a lick that had made the room's carpet wet. As very seasoned travellers and HHonors Diamond members, we use Hilton many, many times. We chose Hilton LAX this trip and not Embassy Suites. The first room assigned literally smelled like a rotting small animal. I find it hard to believe housekeeping staff didn't notice, but they certainly failed to report or somebody chose not to fix it. This hotel is very close the to airport and was our last hotel in our 15d roadtrip. Hilton does not offer free in room wifi, which is a shame nowadays were even the smallest motel can offer this for free. The room was ok. It was on the corner and only had a view on two walls.. This was not an issue, as the rooms was only for sleeping. The elevators were painfully slow. It took ages after calling it before it arrived.

If you stay here be prepared for a very small bathroom, a tub that does not drain well (ankle deep water when taking a shower). Yes near the airport but there are other places to stay. The rating is for the faculties not the people who were fine and professional. I will not choose the hotel again.

Recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and during a busy realtor convention I may add. The elevators were getting serviced so it was a hassle to get a working one in a timely manor. Big,corporate and it works. Most of the time. We booked the hotel for a couple of days so that we could get straight of the plane at LAX after a long flight and straight to bed. Their lifts leave a lot to be desired. When the hotel is at capacity and you are on a top floor, you will struggle. We were going to be in LA for a few days (April and then a few in May --the first part of the review is from our April experience)) and wanted to be near the airport so we did not have to travel so far before and after the long flight from Australia. To be honest, this hotel left me underwhelmed. For a Hilton it just really wasn't all that great. Of course it had a huge beautiful lobby, but honestly...who spends all there time in a lobby? Getting to the actual hotel is a little confusing as the pull in is hard to see with no sign from the road letting you know the turn in is kind of hidden. Our Uber drivers had a very hard time finding it. They would pull into the next door alleys and pick us up. I think this is mainly for conventions and... Read more

Sure, the location can be convenient, depending on your purposes. It's next to the airport and therefore close to Venice and Santa Monica. The lobby is flashy Hilton style. However, the corridor and the rooms are a bit outdated. Damaged furniture, worn out carpets - you can tell they needn't do much to get costumers on this location. Also the pool is the bare minimum of what a hotel this size needs. We had a rough start there because we modified our reservation by telephone, but that was not ha... Read more

I stayed here for two nights. Beautiful hotel lovely pool and excellent gym. Nice and good food at the restaurant and bar. A relaxing place after a long day and before a long trip. Rooms are clean and easy to check in and to check out. Airport shuttle is every twenty minutes. Service is excellent and personal are very friendly.

Check in was good, stayed here one night on way to Hawaii and four nights on way back. The pool area is good. This is a very busy hotel, but that doesn't detract from its charm. There is easy access by bus to shopping centres and Manhattan Beach which picks up outside and costs about $5 for a round trip. Food choices are good, although service can be a little slow when the hotel is very busy. We had a suite both times, spacious and comfortable with two bathrooms. The executive lounge is no... We stayed for 2 nights here after a weeks cruise before flying home, I would definitely recommend. just outside the hotel you can catch the hop on hop off tour bus to see the sights of LA this is really good value for money. The hotel is clean and the rooms spacious, we asked for a late check out and this incurred no extra charge. Staff at the hotel are helpful and friendly

We have stayed at this hotel a few times, before and after flights (great shuttle service and parking while on vacation) and for a few conferences. The corner fooms away from the main runway are quiet and roomy with views of the city. A great restaurant/bar and small bistro make eating a breeze. You can get parking for $10/night with in and out privileges if you ask nicely.

I stayed here one night before a relatively early flight out of LAX. I arrived shortly before check-in time and the hotel was able to find me a room, which was appreciated. The staff at the valet and the front desk were very nice and the process of checking-in was efficient. The hotel is a very large airport hotel and has that generic feeling about it; don't expect anything local or boutique here. That said, my room had relatively fresh decor (not in its scheme...it was typical bland, soulle... Read more

This is one of those hotels you only stay in because the airline gives you a free voucher because your flight was cancelled at 2am in the morning. At first appearances it looks quite nice, but when you dig deeper you discover its just an old Best Western with brass railings and marble floors. Its definitely seen better days and only maintained at a level where most guests don't complain. There are many elevators but some look like they were added as an after-thought because their buttons and ... Read more

One of our nieces flies for Cathay Pacific, and the airlines books this property for layovers for their crew. Our niece was flying in from HongKong for a 2 night layover, so we drove down to see her. Our room was comfortable, quiet and spacious, but dated. The carpet especially showing wear. And some of the hallways and elevators reek of old oil showing poor ventilation. Although there is parking under the hotel, the cost is pricey. Our feeling is that the property is not really up to par w... Read more

I stayed here for a week in October whilst attending a conference. My room was clean and bright, beds a bit soft but okay, with views across the airport, roads and backs of buildings. Food was okay and averagely priced. Nice small pool and spa is free to use. I had checked trip advisor before I went there and some comments mentioned the noise of the planes (despite double glazing etc) so I asked for a quiet room, which seemed to work because apart from 1 or 2 big planes I didn't hear them. The Los Angeles Hilton is a nice hotel close to the airport. If you are staying for a brief time this Hilton can pick you up, get you to the hotel, and get you back very nicely. I like this hotel, despite its vast size and the fact it is very much a hotel factory with few guests staying more than a night, the staff are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size, clean and always well presented. The standard of maintenance is high throughout the hotel, all food outlets are good and the staff attentive. The check in was very easy, i was going to book a day room for next day but girl offered an extension on my check out (until 6pm, which a day room is anyways) for around $50 less. Great option here and was much appreciated. Room was clean and tidy. Very spacious, the bed was so comfy and the pillows were amazing! Wouldnt hesitate staying here again. I stay here often for business. The service just keeps deteriorating. Waiting SO long for elevators. Calling service to ask for an item and never getting it. Things broken in the room. And waiting unreasonably long to the airport shuttle (the drivers are often rude). Since there are so many great options around LAX I won't be staying here anymore. Other Hilton properties around LA are doing such an amazing job in improving service.

You can never go wrong with a Hilton chain. And when in LA, it's best to be close to the airport during your stay to make sure you don't miss your flight by getting caught in LA's notorious traffic jam. Shuttle service is a big plus but just to get to terminal 7 where United is located, takes 30 min from the time you leave the hotel. And the airport is just a stones throw away but that's just normal LA traffic jam.
