First time in the USA and had planned the trip around mostly Hilton Garden Inn properties for the accomodation. First time ever using this chain, and so far have no disappointment. Accept that this is not a 4 or 5 star property but has all the basics without the razzamattazz. We Australians are not used to the tipping culture and it was good to just pull your own case without bellhops swarming over you and having to work out how much to pay (although it does come in to play when eating or drink... Had a very good 3 night stay at this hotel. Very close to Hollywood Blvd and all the attractions there. We walked there no problem. Also very close to universal studios, 5 minute drive. Room was what you would expect. Always nice having a microwave and refrigerator and one reason why we like Garden Inns and Embassy Suites. Valet Parking maybe a bit high at $36 a night but that's probably pretty standard for the area. Pool area very nice, nothing special but adequate for a hotel this size. Not mu... Read more

This hotel was a very short walk to the Hollywood Bowl, but that was about the only plus side of this visit. We book a room with a King size bed, when we called down to ask about why we had a Queen size bed, we were told that was their "King" size. Plumbing was also an issue as we had our choice with the shower, either we could have warm water or water pressure, but not both. "Extras" were not cheep either, it cost an additional $30 to park and breakfast was $20. Wish we stayed next door at ... Read more

I took my 85 year old mom, who is in a wheelechair. This hotel's "wheelchair accessible" room was on the 2nd floor. "In case of fire, do not use elevator." How is someone in a wheelchair going to use the stairs? The hallway door and the bathroom door do not prop open. It's impossible to hold a door open AND push a wheelchair through it. Thankfully a maintenance man saw me struggling and gave me his door stop to use during our stay. The space between the bed and the dresser wasn't wide enoug... Read more

Mgt great, but quality of accommodations and catered dinner Motel 6 quality at best. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant good, lunch fruit and drinks good, but very poor to horrible (frozen food section) catered dinner. The two Queen beds were mounted on King frames and you could not prevent hitting your shins when manuring the room at night, which was ridiculous since the mattresses were Queen size. Why use Queen mattresses in a King platform frame? Very little room between the desk chai... Read more

Everyone we encountered from the parking valets to hotel staff was friendly, efficient, and made our entire visit stress free. When we checked out of the hotel, the parking valets put our luggage in the car and provided us with cool bottles of water for our trip home. We enjoyed happy hour with $5.00 appetizers in the bar before a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, and we walked to and from the Bowl with ease. The Hilton Garden Inn was very clean and the staff were friendly and very accommodating! The only problem was it's location on Highland Ave, which was challenging to make a left hand turn into the main entrance due to 3 lanes of heavy traffic.

Rooms are very clean and staff are friendly but the rooms and facilitates are quite dated. The main frustration was the restaurant. Not sure if they've heard of the concept of waiting service as both nights the waiter has been no where to be seen for the majority of the evening and when they did come they were not very accomadating. Currently been waiting for 10min for a waiter to even come and take my drinks order....

Disappointing. Stayed at Hiltons all over the world, so the expectations to Hilton in Hollywood were high. Only plus was the extraordinary valet parking staff! Reception, cleaning and general level of the hotel was average. Very noisy and warn rooms. Dirty windows, posh reception staff, and furniture with the filling sticking out. Expensive too. Not worth the money!

This was advertised as a "must see" garden to "not miss", but if you're not already in Downtown LA, don't make a special trip. We made a special trip with our kids and their kids because it was advertised as something they would enjoy. It was nice, but it's very small and only takes a few minutes to walk around. If we'd known, we wouldn't have fed the meter. It's a great venue idea, but not a happening "must see" location. One perk - a few blocks trek, and you can visit another small garden at... Read more

Management obviously sets a tone for accommodating guests in this not overly large hostelry. All members of the staff we encountered were thoughtful and polite and all wore smiles when encountering guests. Average small room, need new firm bed, and new clean carpeting. Front rooms need sound proof windows. Location must give Hilton Gardens pricing power as high parking fee, and charges for breakfast, but good. Probably would like a quiet room other than the front on a busy street. Great for the Hollywood Bowl, fun " mall" to walk to for lunches and dinners. Plus weekly jazz night.

Great Staff, Great location, dissapointed in the restaurant though. We were able to take the short walk down the hill to the Walk of Fame, a short walk to the Hollywood Bowl. The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms are lovely and clean and we would definitely stay here again

I am about to check out of this hotel where I've been for two nights and all I can say is that everything here is just right... It works! Let me start by stating that this is far from the most "luxurious" hotel I've ever seen but it's still perfect. Here's why: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It's near everything... The Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Blvd are right outside the door. It was only about 10 minutes to Ventura Blvd or Beverly Hills also. The staff has been super pleasant from the minu... Read more

This hotel is your typical Hilton Garden Inn for the most part. The furnishings are decent and clean. The main issue that bothered me was the only window in the room was on the small side. The staff at the breakfast, though, were very friendly and some of the nicest I have encountered at any Hilton brand hotel. The location of the hotel, though, is wonderful. You can walk to many attractions in Hollywood, including the Hollywood Bowl, a fairly large mall with restaurants, and the Walk of F... Read more

If your looking to visit Hollywood and spend an evening at the Hollywood bowl, this is the place to stay. You are in walking distance of all Sunset Blvd activities and the Bowl. The hotel is comfortable and consistent with all Garden Inn hotels. I highly recommend this hotel and location.

Great location. Miles from the stadium and then walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. Would stay again next time I'm going to the game with friends or family from out of town. Valet was a bit pricey at mid $30's per night.

Location of the hotel is really " downtown" Hollywood. All the typical tourist attractions are walking distance. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is really nice. Breakfast is good, especially for " garden inn" standards. But ask for a room at the backside. Rooms at the frontside have the noise from the street coming in

A bit disappointing assuming this Hilton hotel branch being in Hollywood would be better or nice. Small lobby, no bell boy to help with luggage, older hotel that needs refurbishing It has coffee tea maker machine & fridge The advantage is that it's walking distance to Hollywood boulevard where you'll find lots of restaurants, shopping, walk of fame, ripleys, Disney theater, Chinese theater Kodak theater etc Also quick drive to universal studio I suggest not to rent car as parking charge are $... You can walk to Hollywood famous sites so for this the Garden Inn is great. Comfortable bed and very clean. The dark wood furnishings in the room means this looks a little old fashioned for English tastes but as I say it is comfortable. We didn't eat breakfast here there are Starbucks and other places for breakfast nearby

We stayed at this hotel because of the location. It was easy to walk anywhere on Hollywood Blvd and cheap Uber ride to Sunset strip. The breakfast was awesome and I would recommend it highly. Only bad thing was the bathroom door would not stay open so it was very hot inside.

Hotel is close and easy to walk to Hollywood walk of fame but other than that it is not very nice. The rooms are very outdated and the rooms facing the road do not block out the road noise. Traffic is nonstop and we got very little steep the 2 nights we stayed because it was so loud.

We stayed four nights over a long weekend. Depending on your needs, the location is either a blessing or a curse. You can get to either the Hollywood walk of fame or the Hollywood Bowl in about a seven minute walk. Highland Avenue is a major thoroughfare at all hours, so there is nothing tranquil about the location. During Hollywood Bowl events, expect wall-to-wall traffic for hours on end. Our room did not face the street, so there was no traffic noise but given the extremely loud air condition... Read more

Pros - friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, convenient location (not within walking distance to Universal) Cons - $40 to valet park per night (and there is no other parking), our room faced the street and the noise made it hard to sleep. Sounded like large trucks were going by every few minutes (with a/c on and a sound machine running). Won't be coming back.

Great location within a short walk of the heart of Hollywood. The hotel is an older building converted into a Hilton brand. The rooms are very small, updated, clean. The out door pool is nice, the health club is under equipped with a damaged treadmill. The bar is called the "Hangout" - it should be called the dungeon as it's dark and attracts mostly locals.
