The room is very small but I can live with that. It's a bit smelling which is also ok for one or two nights. The biggest problem is the noise! There is a metal door exactly in front of some rooms( incl. ours) which really kills me!!! I get an heart attack when someone goes through it! This happens from 5 am until 11 pm! So don't think about any sleep! On one side is a loud street and on the other side this metal door! Also the cleaners don't know how to close it quiet! Also there is a 2 cm big s... Read more

A stop in LA was compulsory during our California tour. At first we had a double room, but we asked for an upgrade to a double room with kitchen. The size of the room and the bathroom was correct. Bed very good and plenty of storages for our clothes. The wifi is more than decent. Location were not too bad as we were direct line with bus to Beverly Hills and Santa Monica beach. Also, 15mn walk from the underground and the supermarket. However, the big disappointment was the kitchen. No plates cu... Read more

Room was great, shower was excellent, would definitely stay here again. A little noisy but we can live with that... location was what we were looking for and we were within 5 miles of everything on our agenda. Our stay was short, under 24 hours, nicely maintained inn, helpful staff.

While this hotel is in Koreatown and is reasonable, the amenities are really lacking. Only one trash can in the room, I found a spider in the bed AFTER they cleaned the room, the ice machine was on the 1st floor near the pool, the other guests were VERY noisy with the slamming of metal doors. Doesn't seem to be any quiet room. The pool was not clean. To top it off, we told the cleaning crew in the morning not to clean. However, in the afternoon we saw one of the crew and they specifically as... Read more

The place was so dirty, we ended up not even staying the night. We got a groupon at the last minute, so we didn't have time to read reviews about the place. When we got to our room, we noticed hairs on the towels and stains on the sheets. We asked to move to a clean room, but the other room we got was even worse with hairs all over the covers and with a pillow that was so strained it was half gray. It shows no one cleaned the place in a while. We had to move in the middle of the night to a diffe... Read more

I enjoyed my stay here. It's not 5 star and people clearly expect everything to be perfect, but your not paying 5 star! For what it is, the prices are good! Affordable and comfortable is how I would describe it. When we booked there was only a room with one queen bed so mum and I were gonna share, when we arrived they gave us a room with 2 beds! The bathroom was nice. The room was clean. Our room was quite big too. I thought it was very spacious. There wasn't too much surrounding the place, bu... Read more

This may be a budget hotel but it provided everything we needed for our week's stay in LA. The rooms were large and clean and the beds comfortable. Extra pillows and hairdryers included and my sons' twin bedded room came with its own kitchenette, including a microwave, much to their delight. The pool was great and also super clean. Car park always had spaces and the staff were helpful. The wifi was impressive - better than home! The only downside was the vending machine was not working and so wi... Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Dunes Inn - Wilshire for 2 nights (a few weeks ago). We were visiting from London and had been to LA a number of times before. The hotel was exactly what it advertises itself as. Wilshire is a distance from the main attractions but with a car there really is no need to complain. Parking is free (valet parking in LA is now out of control and overpriced) and the room itself was just fine for a 2 night stay - large, clean, 2 queen beds. No complaints.

We arrived in on an international flight early, so arrived at the hotel early. The room wasn't ready but they got to it straight away & was ready within half an hour. The rooms were clean & tidy & the staff were very friendly. The hotel it's self was a bit away from everything & didn't have a car but used Uber (a lot cheaper then taxi). Overall very happy with hotel.

This hotel is very dated in need of a refurb. Room was dirty and the air cond so noisy we had to have it off during the night. There's no shops close by, even to get a coffee. We arrived off our Intel flight, luckily the room was ready so we could sleep.

My sister and I decided to stay here as most other hotels in this area were already booked. Over the phone we were quoted $140 and when we showed up, we ended up having to pay $170 (with taxes, fees, etc). They said they only had one room left with two beds. When we entered the room, it smelled strong of weed. Also, the air conditioner was not on so it was stagnant. The A/C is a wall unit, too, not central. Room came with a fridge and nice shower. I went down to the front desk to tell them it ... Read more

Arrived early, upon check in Old Mate called house keeping over the loud speaker to get my room prioritized. Location is relatively good for what you pay for. There are bus stops really close by that will take you to Redeo drive or the tar pits to jump on one of the sight seeing buses. Only a short walk to Korea Town for dinner, felt reasonably safe despite a few homeless people but they're everywhere in LA! Room was fine for a budget hotel. TV was old school fat back, had air con, heating... Read more

Simple place in a safe, fairly central area for a fair price. In nearby Korea town you will find good places for dinner. Staff were helpful when we asked for a coffeemaker, since there was none on the room.
