"this was a very nice hotel, it is quiet, clean and comfortable. convenient location to go to the Long Beach Antique market. I would be happy to stay here again, beds were clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, (can do with better water pressure) A/C works well for the hot weekend. Staff is very friendly and accommodating."

"Pros: The room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. The neighbors were not loud (or at least we did not hear them) and the neighborhood seemed to be safe. Location was very convenient -- close to pier, downtown, restaurants and free-way.

Cons: there was a specific smell in the room, and not enough light, the room seemed dark even with the windows` curtains open, wireless internet was very slow.

I would recommend it to a friend but also would advise to buy a room if they find some discounts. The full price seemed to be too high for such hotel."

"In simple terms, this place is over rated. At best it is a one star. This is not a place for a family. There was no hot water in the room -we had to run the water for nearly half an hour to get it to luke warm. Large space between the outside door and the floor. No bath, only stand up shower that floods the entire bathroom. In a nut shell, we are never returining to this place and nor we will recommend it to anyone. We initially booked for 10 days, we left after the first night. Keep in mind we stayed in renovated rooms - I can't imagine what would the old rooms be like."

"Like one of the other reviews stated, it is a great motel styled hotel. The room was as described, maybe even a little better. However the continental breakfast was the wrost we have ever had at any hotel/motel at which we have ever stayed. We got a great rate so we were satified but the desk person said he had upgraded us and it's good he did because anything much less, and I wouldn't have been happy."

"Pros: Great stay at a motel-like hotel. Everything as expected. Newly renovated 'Lifestyle' room was just like the pictures on their website. Free parking and breakfast, great deal! Comfy bed and flat screen TV, a plus. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: Water coming out of the shower head was not powerful :( Thumbs down!

"I was totally fooled by the pictures. When I drove in, I was like this is a motel and not a hotel. When I got into the room, the room was old and bathroom was old too and so was the TV. The refrigerator was left open, so water poured out from the defrosting. When I stepped on the carpet, my white socks turned black (i.e. the carpet was dirty). Only the beds were nice and so were the sheets and pillows.

The only other thing that make the place enjoyable was the staff. They were extremely helpful and friendly."

"Well! The hotel is being rennovated, the new rooms (I hear) are quite nice. BUT! The room I ended up in was horrible. Clean but a dive motel feeling. If there is an entire section of this hotel that has been updated and is current as the name implies, may I suggest that the hotel puts NO ONE in the other section? I had two rooms and the othe people got the good room, I got the bad room. not cool at all. won't be back"
