I do not enjoy writing about bad experiences that didn't have a positive ending but my experience at this hotel has left me compelled to share the what can easily happen when a staff supervisor gets carried away in their behavior and forgets that you are a guest of the hotel, that you have the voice and ability to speak of the treatment and horrible service you receive at any establishment. When a supervisor of a 4 star hotel goes off on insulting a guest, a member of Hilton Honor program, and d... Read more

Nice room, good size, neutral modern decor, comfortable bed. Location, so so, Plenty nearby but the immediate surroundings are underwhelming. Part of/adjacent to the World Trade Center complex which appears to be half empty. Pool is a miserable windswept balcony with no bar, no style and nobody. Breakfast restaurant is a little like a Mexican canteen, which at $19 for buffet is overpriced and under thought out. Lounge bar is ok but the best customer appeared to be a duty manager who mixed himsel... Read more

I stay at this hotel once or twice per year and am always happy with my stay. I'm never sure if I'm being upgraded but my room has always been spacious, bright (lots of windows and a small balcony), and quiet. The one surprise is that a hotel of this size doesn't have an executive lounge, but breakfast is good, room service is always speedy, and the fitness center is solid.

What a great hotel located in downtown Long Beach within walking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel. The property is well maintained and staff personnel will go out of their way to make a stay comfortable.

Ok location near Boardwalk and "Downtown". Hot tub bubbler did not work - pool area was a mess with towels all over and cups at 10 pm. Housekeeping must end before that - even public areas. Housekeeping was hit or miss, a few days ok, then other days no bath towels or water, or shampoos and conditioner. Just ok.

We arrived in the middle of the refurbishment. The reception was closed and we entered from a back door. Although the room we had had been refurbished and was amazing. Bed was so comfortable, we had flown in from Australia, and they allowed us to check in early, and had a great sleep! Bathroom amenities were good also. We would definitely stay at this hotel next time we visit long beach.

Great hotel, did have trouble getting transportation to the long beach performing arts center. The hotel shuttle was not available to me, too far to walk in heels and since I was already paying $18. to park at the hotel I didn't want to drive and pay another $10. to the convention parking. Next time I would stay closer if I were going to the same conference...The Hilton was very clean and the staff were very friendly.

I have to admit, it is a bit off-putting when I checked into my room, opened the curtains, and found that a previous guest had written "Clean Me" on the dirty window. Not sure how long this instruction had been on the window, but it was apparent that the windows had not been cleaned in some time - dirty, grimy, and obscuring whatever view we could have enjoyed. I tried to book at the advertised group discounted rate and was told only King beds were available. Rather than share a King with a friend, I booked 2 Queens at full price without the group discount. I learned that others who had booked a group discounted King room were offered group discounted 2 Queens upon check-in. Management refused to discount my full priced room. SHAME ON HILTON LONG BEACH! Group facility was hot and humid, food was marginal and slow. SHAME ON HILTON!

First, I do have to say that I was really lucky to get a room for four nights at the last minute at a Gold Member rate after finding out that the Airbnb I was going to stay at was in a sketchy neighborhood. It was a typical hotel, not what you expect from a Hilton as far as cleanliness but it was quiet and reasonably comfortable even though the AC didn't work quite right. Very average property compared to the Westin down the street. The wifi is off and on, kinda spotty, the elevators require you to scan your key which could be an asset if the key reader functioned better. Breakfast is one of the best features, better than average fitness center but for about the same price I'd rather be at the Westin Convention Center.

Had a beautiful view of the Long Beach port from the 13th floor. Will strongly recommend this place to my friends and family if they ever visit Long Beach/LA area from San Jose, CA up North. The room service was very prompt when asking for additional towels and other toiletries. The digital check-in using your smart phone was also a plus!

I was in town for a convention at the Long Beach Convention Center. We walked one day back to the hotel and drove the last two days. It's about a 20 minute walk. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. The staff is friendly and very professional. As a Hilton Honor member I enjoyed the morning buffet. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this Hilton Hotel.

I stayed at the Hilton in Long Beach for 5 nights as part of a conference. Throughout my stay the staff were all polite and welcoming at the front desk, in the bar and restaurant etc. The bedroom was large and immaculate, as was the bathroom. Plenty of towels in the bathroom, which could be changed daily, if so wished. I highly praise the soft, white cotton bed linen. The AC was very good and easy to use. The only issues I had with the room was there were no ceiling lights, only lamp lights, wh... Read more

I just came back from a three night stay at the Hilton Long Beach. My limited interactions with the staff were fine. The room itself was standard- though I must say I like a mini fridge for purposes of chilling your own items. I didn't understand why I wasn't given shower gel the entire time I was there, even though a colleague had a plentiful stock (he actually gave me a bottle after I mentioned it). The only real fault with this hotel is the fitness room, and I hope to remember to send this... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights this week and I have mixed reviews. The good things first! Modern hotel, great beer and cocktail selection in the lobby bar, as well as the food which was excellent. Their noodle dish + spicy Margarita was to die for. Rooms very nice, bed very comfortable but....was woken up 2 nights by someone flushing their toilet, very loud water gushing noise! Also very bad sewage smell came from the bathroom sink. I asked for it to be fixed, which it was, but by day 3 the smell sta... Read more

The best fish tacos in LBC at the hotel bar. Great staff that's friendly and chatty. Beautiful modern interior design.

We stayed here for a business trip and found it to be comfortable. The room was nice and there was an added safety feature of having to have a key card to get above the 3rd floor. There was one day the noise in the room was irritating but could not figure out where the sound was coming from. It stopped as we were ready to call about it. On the high side, the rum cocktail I had at the bar was excellent. I will need to make it myself: run, pineapple and ginger beer. The hummus was excellent, and s... Read more

That ONE employee who can make every guest feel like they are the only guest at a big hotel like this in my opinion is the Eureka among the sand. I have stayed in many hotels that wear the crown of excellence but this hotel was not one of them as my previous review of my experience was nothing short of unacceptable. The last time I did not even stay because it was that awful. I decided to give it another go because after all, it's a Hilton and I have loyalty to them, and love their hotels. My ch... Read more

What you would expect from a relatively new Hilton Hotel. My standard list: good = glass (vs plastic) water glasses, art (local historic photos) on the wall, drinkable coffee; bad=only paper coffee cups, one cup disc coffee, confusing elevators to parking. Otherwise, attractive space, comfortable, work and relaxing friendly. Quick/friendly check in/out, so probably a 4.5 overall.

We stayed at this hotel on Friday 10/7/16. We liked that the night stands both had USB slots built into the electrical outlets, nice touch for charging portable electronics. Loved the color of the granite sinks in the bathroom. The water pressure in coming out of the shower head was great, I do not like hotels that use low flow shower heads. The only downside to this hotel was the location, nothing around the hotel, seems mostly commercial.
