We popped in here for a quick lunch having heard about this place through friends. We were seated at a table out on the patio which overlooks a small artificial lake which is actually quite a pretty setting. However, after they set up our table, I noticed that they had not wiped it down so it was full of grit and dust and no one to look after it. I finally used my napkin to wipe down the table top. We ordered drinks which took forever to come...about the same time the drinks arrived, th... Read more

The Restaurant at The Chateau is new, so maybe we should give it a few months to get it's balance. The menu is quite limited and there is nothing on the menu that you couldn't get at any other restaurant in the area. The concept of "A little bit of everything" that is the idea of the restaurant is just that. The Caesar Salad is a head of Romaine with a drizzle of dressing, and 2 anchovies.Boring and shows laziness in the kitchen. The Flat bread was something of an afterthought as well. The woo... My husband and I spent two nights at the Chateau by the Lake in the the middle of the week. There were many pluses. All rooms overlook the lake, rooms are meticulously clean and nicely redone, a little quirkiness factor which I love. Comfortable bed and large bathroom with counter space (yay) and a great shower. There is a fridge in the room. We were on the ground floor and had a small patio which was nice for sipping a glass of something and enjoying the view of the lake. Staff is very fr... Read more

I am only reviewing Happy Hour. I have been several times to this amazing oasis in the desert and each time brought out of town guests to show off this little gem. However, only the first visit was the service exceptional. Our server could not do enough to make sure our every request was met. After that visit it has been less than stellar. First off you can only sit in one section (for happy hour) and if you are not the lucky one to get the shade of the umbrella (seats maybe 4-6) then you are ou... Read more

The rooms are lovely with a fireplace. The view from the balcony is of Lake LaQuinta which is small but very peaceful. At night, pontoons boats sail slowly by and the breeze is perfect. We were the only couple in the pool and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Hope to go back perhaps in the fall.

What a wonderful week! This was our first time at the resort and the location suited our needs. The food was excellent as we ate breakfast every morning on the deck, lunch twice & dinner twice. Lots of umbrellas for shade as it did get warm. Our room was Bungalow 1 which was very quiet and well appointed with quick access to the pool where my wife loved to spend her afternoons. The staff was great & service was everything we could ask for as we enjoy a laid back atmosphere. Thank you to all th... Read more

Our group (24 friends) has held an annual 4 day golf outing for the past 25 years. We've been in La Quinta for at least 10 of those years. Typically we have stayed at bigger resorts, but decided to give the Chateau a chance this year and contracted our stay through Patty Donovan, who was fantastic. The Chateau seemed like a great fit, as we took all 24 rooms and it was close by the courses we were playing. I was a little nervous when I read some of the reviews about the service, but we were ... This was our first time staying at the resort and we had all 24 rooms. We had an amazing experience and the service and amenities were first class. We have a demanding group and everyone loved the service. We have already committed to the same dates next year and look forward to coming back. My wife insists that I take her there on a separate weekend. I will have to make it happen.

What to say about this boutique hotel ? It is truly superb ! Stayed 3 nights here for my wife's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Rooms are well furnished and overlooking the lake which was a great scene to grab an after dinner from the bar and sit on your balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom spotlessly clean with Molten Brown amenities. Everything about the room ooozed class. We used the pool / spa area a couple of times and always had it to ourselv... Read more

We have a golf group that meets up every year in La Quinta. This year somebody found The Chateau at Lake La Quinta and we decided to try it. What a great experience! The rooms were very nice and the service was impeccable! We liked it so much that we decided to return next year before we left this year!

Let me begin by confessing that I have a bias. I feel the same way about large hotels as I do about chain restaurants where you are greeted with ‚??Hi, my name is Sally and I‚??ll be your server.‚?? Both are formula based and lake in sincerity. Sally could care less about me or the corporation she works for. I‚??m just a potential 20% tip. I like small hotels with small staff, where your second trip to the bar results in the bartender (whose name you still don‚??t know) asking you if you wo... Read more

The hotel is beautiful, clean, very quiet and has amazing views of the lake. The customer service is absolutely amazing!!! Our only complaint was the room service for lunch didn't seem to be up to the standards of the hotel, the food was bland. We had breakfast and it was amazing. The pancakes and huevos rancheros were delicious. We had a wonderful, romantic weekend. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and our needs were met. The place is absolutely beautiful and rel... Read more

My wife and I stayed at the Chateau in early June and everything was just about perfect. We had the least expensive room which was beautifully decorated with a side view of the lake. Lunch in the restaurant was wonderful. Being so impressed with the facility, we decided to return a few weeks later. This time, we "upgraded" to a cottage suite. The room is decorated quite differently (not quite our taste or style) but quite large. There is also a private terrace off the back of the bathroom which ... Read more
