I went to the La Quinta resort with my daughter for a 2 day getaway. We had a great time, enjoyed the spa and every resturant they have on property. They were all fantastic but we really enjoyed the mexican resturant and the outdoor patio that provided music in the evening. The grounds are spectacular with lots of history. We had fun just strolling around. Great time, my husband will be joining me there for a trip back next week!

I stayed in a deluxe room with wife and small child. I'm a diamond member and I usually get free breakfast and I called ahead of time to verify this and the 1800 Center confirmed that I would get free breakfast. However, upon check in I was told the hotel didn't offer breakfast for diamond members but that they gave you 1000 Hilton points and a free appetizer at one of their 4 restaurants. Let me just say that 1000 hilton points is worth about $5.00. The appetizers (you get 1 per day... Read more

Took a trip here with some girlfriends of mine to escape reality. For starters, the resort is absolutely stunning! From the decor to the staff - it's safe to say that the people at the La Quinta resort do not skimp on the details. From the smooth check in process to the awesome bell staff that literally drives you to your doorstep, the entire experience was one to remember. Plain and simple, this resort goes above and beyond when it comes to amenities and comfort. From an awesome pedi cab ride... Read more

We stayed for one night in June as part of a 2 week trip. We were in a standard casita with two beds, dual sinks and fridge with its own ice maker. Room decor is rustic and slightly dated, well supplied but not quite as luxurious as I'd expected. The resort has a range of accommodation and some of the villas by the Spa looked very glamorous. Check in was smooth, staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The focus on customer service was apparent everywhere. Personal parking was very limit... Read more

This is one of my favorite places on earth to go with my girlfriends to relax...especially in the summer when the prices allow for a longer stay and the weather requires us to just mellow out. Unfortunately there is a large contingent of partying adults and families that also take advantage of the lower cost so on this last visit we had to chose between rooms that opened on to a pool filled with over 10 adult men drinking 40 oz budweisers in the pool or another room that opened on to a pool fill... This is my 2nd trip here, and it only got better. We stayed in the Hacienda with a private pool, and it was perfect. The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Especially Javier, our waiter at Twenty6, and the nice guy that gave 6 of us a ride back to our room on his golf cart. And big thanks to Dijon the concierge for the lovely welcome!

This was a great stay, the many pools at the resort were excellent. We visited in September and we had a pool to our selves most of the time. This resort was excellent, the restaurant serving Mexican food was lovely and the staff were very good. The resort is large but transportation is available around the resort if needed.

Truly one of the few hotels in the Waldorf chain that deserves the name. Think of it as the Western Waldorf. The architecture is a study in Spanish Revival style. It's the prototype for mid-century California Spanish style. Very authentic and yet well appointed for the modern traveler. Service quality is high. The grounds are stunningly landscaped. For my money, the best choice in the valley.

This was my second stay at La Quinta and I love it more every time I stay. The grounds are always beautiful and the staff is always helpful. The only thing I had a problem with was the temperature of the room. It was a little hot inside though outside was 110 degrees.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our California road trip. It was hot when we arrived and we were tired and thirsty. We had a lovely welcome from the chap on the door and immediately felt welcome. In fact the service was impeccable for our whole stay. Nothing was too much trouble. This resort is definitely one of a kind. With 45 acres and 41 pools, it was a nice property that offered the privacy and relaxation we set out for on vacation. We were upgraded to a private Casita upon check in which gave me a private patio that I really enjoyed. We ordered room service for lunch one of the days and enjoyed it on our private patio, on the outdoor couch under an umbrella. Talk about the epitome of a vacation! Stopped here for final weekend of a summer road trip with my son; this was a perfect place to relax and enjoy! We have a starlight casita that was roomy and comfortable, got awesome sleep! Dinner at Morgan's was fresh and innovative paired with yummy wines! Brunch at 26 offered a delicious variety of selections at a fair price. And the grounds here are spectacular!

We liked this resort - very different from other resorts in the area - the layout is very spread out- with rustic but charming Spanish style casitas. It's an older resort but amenities and fixtures were nice. The timing of our trip was unfortunately terrible as it was hooot and humid in July - couldn't really enjoy the resort much. Cannot summit up any other way. Not the "world renowned" experience that I expected. From queue at check in... Two staff on duty, really? Poor wifi, averagely clean room... (I would remove the main carpet and replace it with the tiles that the rest of the room has). Various maintenance issues and to cap it off at our neighbouring pool the guests had dogs swimming.

The experience started off badly, and didn't get much better for the three day stay. We had problems with the aircon, after 3 phone calls we finally had someone come and check, he said it was hot because our room had the sun on the roof! I asked for some shower caps, which finally arrived 14 hours later. Overall the place was OK, it is not the place that their web site has us believe. Been there several times, love the resort, rooms, staff...but no loyalty shown on there part. Hope you love the quick cash from those who paid, you won't see mine again.

Great location very average service. You wait half an hour for food at the restaurants. They have very poor House Keeping service. When you companies to the Manager he really struggles to understand the importance of the Customer. I feel they trade only on its reputation.

La Quinta is everything you think it will be. The grounds are impeccable and the service is excellent. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the grounds guys are welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. The rooms are wonderful - we particularly enjoy the fireplaces. Although it is a "trek" to get in and out of the property, you really don't have to leave as everything is there. We always stay the week of Thanksgiving (Monday to Wednesday) and it's always just the right time to visit.

You can't help but notice the beautifully landscape entrance that greets you. This is one of the greatest R & R places by far, it's a hidden treasure. The service of the staff is excellent, everyone I came in contact with, went out of their way to meet my needs.

This out of the way, historic old Hollywood get away place is lovely with spacious and well-kept grounds with 48 swimming pools. The rooms are large and well kept maintaining the early California look with authentic tile in the baths and on the roofs. Take time to explore the shops and outdoor areas. We did not eat at the restaurants, but had a tip from the bell man driving our golf cart to our room about a wonderful Mexican restaurant in town. It is a throw-back experience to early, elegant C... We recently spent the weekend for "Oldchella" (which was fabulous btw.) The best thing about this resort is it's proximity to the Empire Polo Club where the concert was. Otherwise it's seen better days. We were directed to a very over-priced 'casita' on the outskirts of the property featuring a patio with dirty furniture where you could hear the traffic whizzing by outside the resort's wall. Not at all welcoming or relaxing. There was NO light coming in and a dark, dank and dismal feeling to th... Read more

We've stayed at La Quinta several times during the fall. Most of the time it is great, sometimes not so much. Some rooms are better than others by a long shot with nicer furniture and stocked with useful items such as wine glasses :-). Others are not. Food service at the main pool is usually excellent but can get stretched at busy times and the pool food is surprisingly good. We usually go off the resort for dinner but have eaten at the onsite mexican restaurant and it is good.

Stayed here for three nights while attending the Desert Trip concert. Great location near the Coachella music festival site. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfortable. Separate shower in bathroom. Pool area was also nice. The grounds are well maintained. Enjoyed breakfast twice. Unfortunately we didn't have time for dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Mountain golf course was a very nice. The Norman course was also good. The other courses were closed so I didn't get to p... Read more

I really should give this hotel 4 stars because it's the second time we stayed in the past month and although the rooms have finally been nicely updated, the bathrooms could use a little help. Our first room had a broken toilet, a gap in the front door (which allowed 100 degree heat in - needs weather stripping!) and broken/ineffective AC. Our second room, which had none of the above, still had a drippy sink, so much so that after housekeeping came (they did their routine plugging the sink drain... Read more

La Quinta is basically a sprawling holiday village which is made up of clusters of small buildings. In the middle of every four or so buildings there is a small pool and hot tub. Each room type is described in the website quite Accurately and there are so many different types of rooms that it is easy to get confused when making a reservation . My family and I stayed in a hacienda suite with a twin connector . The hacienda suits (there are about five or six on site ) are basically huge house... Read more

This is a great sprawling property with a gorgeous setting, idyllic atmosphere, and all the amenities you might look for. During our stay, the staff continued to impress us with great service at every turn. Nice relaxing weekend. Despite the house being full, it never seemed crowded or rushed. Highly recommended. Wide variety of room sizes and types, so check the specs carefully to get what you want/need.

I used to love this resort. We came several times ourselves and with conventions. It never disappointed until now. The hotel seems old and dated. I have been told it is being renovated bit by bit. We obviously didn't get a renovated room. We asked for a quiet room as I have trouble sleeping. The first thing I noticed was that I could hear the air conditioning next door which was humming through the wall. I walked outside and looked in the room which was full of odd furniture like a storeroo... Read more

The resort in marvelous in architecture every way although the service needs some help. We reported the first day that both of our sinks did not drain properly and 3 days later when we left they had still not gone to check them. When I complained as I checked out the doubted my word and checked with maintenance which then confirmed it and no apology was offered. A guest should always be trusted specially in a hotel of this stature, but it was definitely not the case. To finish up my "custome... Read more

This resort amazed me when I arrived. It is sprawling and well maintained as general statement. I did find the walks between rooms to meetings to be a hassle. Meeting facilities did not impress, but were fine. Check in was average. Room are varied so it depends on what you select. I had a private patio unit. I liked the patio, and liked the room quite a bit. The room felt dated to me but was certainly up to date with adequate electrical and great WiFi and TV options. Bathroom was nice but I was ... We loved this resort. From the moment we arrived the relaxed elegance was wonderful. Service was great- nothing was too much to ask. Having a pool just outside the casita was great for our four years son and made it so easy to get him in and out! We made good use of the fitness club which was good. And buffet or a la carte breakfasts were both top marks. This gorgeous resort is large, but the layout makes each villa and room seem like your own private corner of a perfect historic Spanish-style hacienda. Our villa and courtyard surrounded one of more than 40 pools on the property, shared only by the half dozen or so casitas surrounding each pool. The grounds are lush with flowers and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Our villa had spacious rooms, a very comfy bed and fine linens, fully stocked kitchen, and two courtyards.

So first off I will start by saying, yes the hotel was nice and we had an overall pleasant stay and I could see myself coming back but I could compare it to a decent 3 star hotel. The hotel is nice, but at no point did I understand how it was connected to the Waldorf Astoria. Ok now for my little petty rant... Cons: After arrival I noticed the 4 pillows on my bed were cotton, so I requested 2 feather pillows and, hand to the bible, it took 4. FOUR!! separate calls to just get A BUNCH of cotto... Read more

There wasn't a plug for the coffee maker so I moved it to the bathroom. There wasn't a desk and there were very few drawers for clothes. Plugs for electronics charging weren't close to surfaces so I had to move furniture. Room service is very limited. Pool area was nice; but, the concrete was cracked and broken which made for a tacky feel. Very interesting village atmosphere.
