We recently stayed at this Holiday Inn while planning a trip to Disneyland! Our room was not exceptionally special, but was nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and helped us get checked in. They also told us that we could schedule a shuttle to and from Disneyland during our stay. We rode the shuttle all three days, there and back. Our shuttle driver, Manuel was one of the nicest, most polite people I have ever dealt with in customer service. He was extremely friendly, and helpful. On th... Read more

Very nice hotel. Free drink voucher in the bar and free breakfast buffet. Breakfast had great assortment of food. Clean and comfortable. Our room was "roomy." The next time I'm in the area, hands down, this is where I will stay.

This is my second stay within about a year. I spent a week here and wish I could give more stars but was a little let down with the room. 5 stars to the staff though. The entire week I only met one employee who wasn't very cordial but I have to say he was looking at a tour bus pouring out a wave of tourists about to descend on him. The room was neat and clean but the furniture is pretty well dated and needs replaced. Carpet throughout the Inn needs a good deep cleaning. Price fluctuates by the p... Read more

This hotel is a old property however the staff working out here are amazing. I got great help from the Staff david who went out of way to help us in getting all the details we wanted for our tour pack to San Diego. We also got free drop to Indian hotel close by the hotel management. THere is a small average gym but one can do basic workout in the hotel. Water/TV channels come with additional pricing and one can get free ICE using the ICE vending machines. There is a good welcome drink avai... Read more

I have stayed here extensively in the past because of the brand, location and amenities, but a lot has changed at this hotel since I last stayed. If you are an elite member with IHG, do not expect any perks other than a newspaper at your door. No more complementary coffee in the lobby. No more complementary breakfast or evening reception on the 8th floor. Breakfast is expensive unless you remember to get it included with your room rate at booking. I tried to get it added after I checked in ... Read more

Nice hotel, I enjoyed my stay here. I must say, The room AC Worked AWESOME! Best I've seen in a hotel in a while. The true gem at this hotel is the restaurant. I had the best reuben I've ever had, and via room service. Eat seemed everything was homemade on site. Even the coleslaw was fantastic. Next time I am out there I will stay there again just for the food. It's that good.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and its a great location right off I-5 to get to Disneyland. We normally stay at places right off Harbor near to Disney, but with the shuttle service this hotel provides you don't need to be trapped down there. Within 15 minutes you can be at Disneyland, which is about the same amount of time that it takes with the shuttle service that stops at a bunch of hotels when you stay on Harbor. The restaurant is under a new name that is on the first floor of the hotel... Read more

My husband and I were with a tour group when our team checked in into the hotel on the first 3 nights and the last night of our 2 weeks trip to West USA. We arrived at around 12 midnight and the lady at the front desk was rude. My tour leader was sorting out the keys to our rooms and obviously, there were no other customers in the queue. She was pretty rude to tell my tour leader to sort out her stuff elsewhere. My tour leader was barely there for less than 2 minutes. On another occasion wher... Read more

I stayed there for a few nights fo a seminar , The venue was very close to hotel and price had been negotiated but I surprised because its price was not reasonable for a holiday Inn hotel , specially after negotiation ! !!! Rug wasn't clean and there wasn't good accommodation . Everyone in reception , restaurant and was slow , unhelpful and not so polite .

Had no idea there were still hotels that allowed smoking in the rooms in 2016. They put us on the 4th floor and the hallway even reeked. Carpet was stained in hall and room. Cranked up air and opened windows just to make it through the night. Front desk offered to "spray" the room but we declined because we didn't know how smelly that would make the room. If we hadn't made reservations on the way to the hotel after the cancellation cutoff time, we would have high-tailed it out of there.... Read more

The staff at Holiday Inn La Mirada, CA was exceptional. On a busy Monday I had to call just before cancellation cutoff to cancel our reservation for three nights. Our flight was unavoidably delayed in Houston by thunderstorms. And it didn't appear we would be leaving HOU. Then our flight took off depositing us at John Wayne Airport at 11:30. I couldn't find a room anywhere within shuttle service of the airport and in desperation called the HI La Mirada. The same young man I had talked to in orde... Read more

Spent 3 nights here on business. It was clean but showing some age. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. The restaurant was good and very friendly staff. A little on the high side but that is what happens in a hotel restaurant/bar.

We stayed in this hotel while visiting in La Mirada. This hotel is average with respect to room cleanliness, sleeping comfort, facilities, and service. One thing though since it was near a major freeway there was this traffic noise.

This is a Nice hotel but poor wifi and parking. For the price, I expected breakfast or at least bottled water. The Staff was very friendly though. There was very good air conditioning. The location is perfect.

Over 40 family members gathered for a family reunion last weekend and this hotel accommodated us all as if they were part of the family. The check-in process was smooth because we worked with Terry in group booking, all of our rooms were assigned as requested, as a bonus, the hotel was able to give us all rooms on the same floor. The bar / restaurant was so much fun for us to all gather, and have drinks before and after our events. The location was central to Downtown L.A and Newport Beach, t... Read more

Great Location - but that is it! This place used to cater to business travelers and especially for their IHG Priority members by giving extra perks - like coffee, and breakfast and manager happy hour. This would make up for the old hotel (needs remodeling) and the extremely slow internet that never changes its internet access code. Now they opened a restaurant and eliminated all the perks to the priority members. I try not to stay there as I did in the past.

Even though it looks like the building is rather old, the rooms look pretty well kept, I liked the fact that they had Bath and Body Works products in the restroom. What I didn't like was the lighting in the room, it was odd and for some reason it made uncomfortable, the shower was a bit unsafe. The service at the front desk was really slow, I realized that the gentleman there (which was super nice) was training someone but we needed to get ready for an event and that slowed us down quite a bit. ... There are some very good aspects to this property but it needs some carpet replaced and the night staff is a bit surly when it comes to guest interactions. The restaurant/bar keeps minimal hours for a property that is pretty isolated from other drinking and dining establishments. Typical of a place more concerned with profit than accommodating their guests. The food is average at best and not a great value. The owners need to loosen the purse strings or rebranding is in order soon.

I stayed 2 nights here for convenience. The location is good but the property needs upgrading. My room was a 2 double bed, nonsmoking room with a desk, chair for relaxing, and free but very slow internet. It had no fridge or microwave. While the room was clean, the furniture was old and needed to be replaced or refinished. The bathtub needs to be replaced or refinished because it had black stains. Will probably look for another hotel on next trip.
