After a long day hiking in the redwoods, we stopped just in time to get their last room. If you know you want to stay in this area, I would recommend you make a reservation ahead of time cause there is not many motels(nice one's) to stay in & busy summer season you would be out of luck. The staff was prompt & friendly at check in & loved the striking gas fireplace in the lobby. We had a double queen room that was very clean & nicely decorated. The beds & linens were very comfortable & we had a g... Read more

Stopped in to visit the Redwood National Park. The hotel is very close to every place you need to see. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are great. I had a great stay. There is a Casino and restaurant right across the front door of the hotel. The food was good and I played the slots. I won both of my nights dinners back and then a little extra!

There aren't a lot of options for lodging here, and almost none for dining, so we spent one night here while traveling. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was your typical Holiday Inn- type room. Clean, comfortable, etc. The only issue we had was the highway noise- the room was within a stone's throw of highway 101, and traffic noise was noticeable. Other than that, no real problems. The restaurant was just okay. They were out of the daily special and two of the items on the... Read more

We were traveling down the coast after a day of meetings on the north coast. Needed a place to stay after an unhappy lodging experience in Crescent City. Check in was warm and friendly. The hotel is quite beautiful. We liked that it was fully separate from the casino which we did not visit, but it also looked nice. Comfortable bed, spacious room. Nice breakfast. Highly recommend for the money.

This was a very unexpected find in an otherwise pretty desolate area. The hotel was absolutely spotless, the staff friendly and helpful and the services beyond expectation. They is a small casino attached to the hotel, but it is not much to speak of and they allow smoking. What is to be mentioned is their on-site restaurant...great food and service. This hotel has everything you are looking for!

This hotel is in a beautiful area. The accommodations are VERY clean, stylish and appear rather new. There is a small casino attached if you don't have other plans. The downside, there are not a lot of good options other than the restaurant at the hotel for food. The food there is great, but mostly high end so if you're an average Joe just know they offer burgers if you're not ready to have a fancy dinner. The restaurant itself looks pretty high end, but no worries all the patrons inside are dre... Read more

We had a very nice room. The people in the next room were up very late. They were very loud and drunk. The walls are thin. The restaurant was nice. The hotel decor was very nice. We went down the road for breakfast. We wanted an omelette and hashbrowns. It was log cabin or something like that. It's a local cafe and many locals eat there. Delicious food. Within a mile of the hotel.

This hotel which is right next to a small casino/restaurant was very new and clean. There is a indoor pool/spa. We played a little on their slot machines, each winning $100. Dinner in their restaurant was fine, nothing exceptional. Close to the Drive through Tree, Trees of Mystery and the entire Redwood forest. Parking lot was free.

There is not much to this area other than this hotel - and the redwoods in the area of course, but they are all down the highway (definitely travel a bit on the Avenue of the Giants if you can). The hotel is very nice and new, hence the cleanliness, and it has a little casino area (just some slot machines) if you are in to that. The beds are pretty comfortable, and the buffet breakfast is a bit better than most of those provided by similarly styled hotels.

Very nice hotel - smoke free. We were warmly welcomed and check in was quick and efficient. Hotel hallways were clean and fresh and our room was nicely appointed. Each room has good air conditioning, a comfortable chair with an ottoman, a small refrigerator, a desk, a safe and a large flat screen TV. Also, the room was a good size. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. breakfast is a bit of a zoo and they do run out of most things by 9 AM, though they do try and replenish the items. One piece of advice - do NOT eat in the attached casino restaurant. In a word - Awful. Over priced and poorly cooked food. Avoid it at all costs. Though the wifi is free it is difficult to get service out here.

Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, toast, cereal, yogurt, apples, bananas, juice, milk & coffee!! Though our room was on the 3rd floor, there was an elevator! The hotel has an attached restaurant, but I don't recommend it. The service was poor, the food was average and over-priced. There is also a casino for those interested. The kids enjoyed the pool and the hotel did have some used games at the front desk, so we played Sorry with the kids. This was a nice stop, when visiting the Redwood Forest. This hotel is one of few newer hotels you will find along the way. It's immaculately clean and fresh. The continental breakfast was great. The only down size is there isn't much around, as far as food choices. It does have an onsite restaurant. But we did not check that out. And the Hotel itself, backs the Highway. So if you are on that side, you will have road noise. But the facilities are very nice.

Hotel was clean enough and staff was nice enough.... But it was in the middle of nowhere, had a "scummy feel" to it, and was overpriced for the room we got. The hotel was in great shape, seemed new. The included breakfast was pretty standard fare but there was plenty of it and a good variety to choose from. I can't say the location is great ?? you're really out there in the boonies with few amenities within walking distance of the hotel. Nice town, good people, though.

We stayed one night on our recent trip up the coast. Surprised to find a small Indian Casino next to this new hotel. Very friendly staff, quiet, clean room, and a nice meal in the casino restaurant. Klamath is really just a small community, and this is the only hotel we noticed. A 20-minute drive from Crescent City, on the Klamath River.

The hotel seemed to be relatively new in a location that is quite close to Redwoods National Park. It seemed the other hotels/motels near Redwoods National Park seemed quite run down so I'm guessing this was probably the best hotel in the area. It is nearly directly connected to a casino. The check in process was smooth and the receptionist friendly. The room itself was quite large and modern. However, we did get our room changed for a malfunctioning A/C, but the room change was done easily... Read more

This is a good chain hotel in a fairly remote area on Hwy 101 about 17 miles south of Crescent City. The rooms are clean and roomy. Decent free breakfast. The hotel is run by the local Indian tribe, so there is a small slot machine casino attached. Nice full service bar and a restaurant with good food, although not fancy. Not much else in the area. Recommend this as an overnight stopping place if you are traveling along the Northern California coast.

This hotel is very nice. Very conveniently located close to Redwoods National Park. Gas station with a food mart close by, Decent hotel restaurant Abalone Bar and Grill (not inexpensive). Good breakfast. There is an onsite mini slot machine casino if that??s your thing. Good internet connection with good work desk and chair. I will go back if I ever go back to Redwoods National Park.

Super clean room and common areas. The staff was super helpful land friendly. It is IN the Redwood forest and accessiblity to the woods is fast and easy. Everything worked and the rooms were bright and cheerful. Oh, and by the way, the redwoods were AMAZING!!

Very good hotel, very good adjacent restaurant (Abalone), good food in that restaurant but poor service in that restaurant! The location and the property is such an excellent combination in that remote area that they could easily charge an additional $40-50 per night for the room!!

Booked the Holiday Inn Express in Klamath for one night while we enjoyed driving around Redwood National Park. Hotel is very conveniently located to the Redwoods, but not to any nice restaurants. There is a restaurant in the casino, but we were leery of trying it so we drove all the way back to Crescent City for dinner. Also, upon check-in we were given a double room instead of the king room we reserved - it was fine for one night, but not what we reserved in advance. With that said, the staff w... Read more
