My review is for the spa, we went up to Kenwood for the day. This was my second time at their spa and it was as lovely as I remember it. My friend and I laid by the pool before and after our treatments, and had champagne brought to us. The grounds are so charming and beautiful, and it was so peaceful listening to the fountain. We both had massages and facials. What did kind of bother us, though, was the nickel and diming that went on during our treatments. "I can give you more pressure dur... Read more

This is a 5 star resort in every way. From the magnificent grounds, to the luxurious guest rooms, this resort delivers the highest quality in service and amenities. We were impressed from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left. It truly felt like we were in Italy and that's hard to pull off. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, even the food was surprisingly good. Sadly, we did not have the chance to try the spa, but we definitely intend to next time. We loved our visit at Kenwood Inn and Spa. We were celebrating our 42nd Anniversary and they greeted us with open arms. A nice bottle of Champagne was waiting for us in our room with a nice note from the management. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were scrumptious and the food delicious. The setting takes you to another country. I had to keep reminding myself we were in California. We enjoyed touring Sonoma and Napa wineries from this location. I would definitely stay here... My husband and I stayed at Kenwood Inn for the first time last weekend. We were absolutely blown away! From the moment you drive up to the ivy covered Inn you are transported to a romantic villa in the middle of Tuscany! The grounds and facility are stunning. Jasmine fills the air wherever you walk, and all you hear are the sounds of birds, fountains, and waterfalls dancing in the pools below. Upon arrival you are offered waters and sparkling wine. 50th birthdays are about sybaritic experiences - so I chose the Kenwood Inn to celebrate with some girlfriends and my sister, who was flying in from rainy Manchester. The Inn lives up to its reputation, it is an idyllic mediterranean ivy clad oasis of calm - despite being on the main road.. The members of staff that greeted us were friendly and personable. They were also inept. They had only one room ready, which was to be expected as it was only 1 pm, however it did take a very long time for ... Read more

From the outside in, everything is gorgeous about this stunning little property, with on 29 rooms, each carefully decorated, to the courtyard where meals are served, attention to detail is everywhere. I design hotels for a living, and this one really caught my eye. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a get away stay, spa treatments and a room with no TV....strange at first but so relaxing....don't panic, there's one in the wine room :)

This intimate retreat is the perfect peaceful getaway from all the noise in our busy lives. This quiet adults retreat is a beautiful place with great views of the Sonoma Wine Country. The rooms are reasonably furnished - plush, clean, comfortable beds. There is nothing overstated or complicated about the rooms. They are not intended to be uber luxurious, but are more a high end rustic feel. We loved the fact that the rooms did not have TVs. Wifi access is great and speeds are high for streamin... Read more

Perhaps this review is overly harsh as the hotel did not meet our expectations in any way. Upon arrival, it was 95 degrees - and front desk has no air conditioning. We received Room 30 - as far from road as possible, but still very noisy w/ road traffic....and to reach room required climbing over 50 steps. When we asked for alternatives, we were told there were none- very unhelpful staff. This attitude continued during the 6 day stay. Breakfast is ridiculous. If you have no time constraints... We had stayed at Farmhouse Inn for 2 nites before coming to Kenwood and were pleasantly surprised they surpassed our expectations even though they were half the price of Farmhouse Inn. There is a lot to be said for this hotel, the grounds are quite lovely, the staff are very very attentive and nice but it is sadly lacking for the price.
