You can't get much more convenient to John Wayne airport than this. Must hotels that are this close to the airport, are noisy, but this one is not. Nice clean rooms, in a facility in the business district. Within walking distance of many of the major banks. Good restaurant with basic menu. Free shuttle. 5 minute ride. Ac system that you can actually regulate was most appreciated.

We were returning home and decided to stay in Irvine overnight. We made our reservation on our phone at Wyndham Irvine. We were greeted at the front desk by Daniel. He cheerfully welcomed us and made us feel at home.He put us in a great clean room.I couldn't be more pleased with our stay. The next time I'm in Orange County I plan to stay at Wyndham Irvine.

We stayed for 4 nights for a business seminar and they were great, picked us up at the airport, drove us back and forth to the seminar which was at another hotel which saved us money on cab rides. Great staff and the whole facility was very clean and comfortable. We even got a continental breakfast two of the 4 days, but was not around when they were having their cocktail hour. Would come back again.

Parking is $18 dollars per day on top of hotel charge. For that amount you could easily upgrade to a nicer hotel.I was charged for 3 nights of parking even though I only used parking facility 1 day.The place is old and the rooms are run down.If your lucky you will get a quiet room.A lot of people party there on weekends in rooms so it tends to be loud.Their restaurant makes Denny's look good. The bathroom had plumbing problems and was obviously not fixed properly.

I am happy to share my rating for Wyndham, Irvine, CA, as I am a returning guest more than once. I am always greeted with a smile from the concierge's as I arrive. Most will tell you that doesn't catch their attention, but trust me it doesn't go unnoticed! Bobby is always happy to offer his hand with my luggage or to a trip to the store in their convenient and complimentary shuttle which travels within 3 miles perimeter (including John Wayne airport). Checked into the Irvine Wyndham and was warmly greeted by Daniel. It was so refreshing, after a long day, to be met with genuine attention and kindness. Our room was very nice and we enjoyed the happy hour. Hotel is located close to the airport. I would recommend this hotel. The van service was right on time. An excellent stay.

The room was nice and large, but lacked a refrigerator. The rooms air conditioner had trouble cooling the room even though it was only 78 degrees outside. I think this was because the hallways were very warm. I asked the front desk why the hallways were not cooler and she said they were set to 76 degrees. It was more like 82 or 84 degrees. I do not understand why some hotels do not cool there hallways more, stop being cheap people! The bathroom was large but was a little dilapidated with pain... Read more

We had the opportunity to use the Wyndham and their catering staff for a family event. I couldn't be more complimentary and appreciative of the job they did. From the moment we entered the lobby of the hotel, there were a couple of hosts who were right there to direct us to the elevators and the ballroom. The food was very well done -- selection was just right. The servers did a very nice job. We had just come from a large memorial service and emotions were high and the servers did a great ... I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks for business. I want to make special mention of Leon, who works at the service desk, and was a great help to me. Although everyone on the staff including the front desk , restaurant and bar were great, Leon was especially kind, friendly, and helped me with my heavy bags and office equipment. It was a decent place to stay. Parking was confusing to check in. When we initially checked in our comforter was wet, so we asked to change rooms. The pool area was very messy and a bit confusing to get to ( down an elevator, walk down the hall, down another elevator). All in all nothing stood out as exceptional, it was a convenient place.

The staff at the Wyndham are welcoming and courteous. We stayed on a holiday week-end, which was very busy. The hotel was also guesting two sport team tournaments. Even with a lot of teenagers running around, we enjoyed our stay. The only negative issue is the parking. The parking for guests is $18.00 a day which adds up quickly.

Our team stayed at this location for a softball tourney. Overall, we had a great stay! Our room was great, it smelled like it had been remodeled (new carpet) and the maid service was awesome. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and I loved the light bar around the mirror in the bathroom. It was nice to have an ice machine on every floor and there was also a microwave next to it. The only negatives were: No in-room fridge or microwave. This is a must if staying for more than a couple days. W... Read more

We were very happy to stay overnite at the Wyndham Irvine-Orange County Airport location because of the convenience of the free shuttle! The rooms were clean & comfortable & the staff were all very nice too! The only minor downside is that there is no "free" waiting area for parking - like for guests who drive to pick you up & want to come up to see your room or if you forgot something & had to run up while car was waiting - driver has to go thru "gate" & go around to get out.

We booked a room with a King bed and upon arrival they tried to put us into a room with two small beds. They told me that they did not have any Kings available because they were overbooked. I said that I would need some SIGNIFICANT discount on the price or I'd go find a room elsewhere and magically they found "oh wait I just found one more King room." REALLY?

I stayed at this hotel because it was nearby the restaurant where the family was hosting a 90th birthday party on a Saturday evening. We worked with Shane Wilkinson, Sales Manager, to reserve a block of rooms for the relatives. Shane was very helpful and we were able to get a group rate and the parking was $9/night instead of $18/night. We were able to get early check-in and most of us were all on the same floor. We also arranged to reserve an area in their restaurant, the Copper Chef Kitche... Read more

Speed of service in the bar area is slow and a bit confusing when there are multiple guests. This has been a reoccurring problem as I stay at the hotel at least once a month.

The hotel is very nice like decorated, had clean rooms and in a terrific location. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating, and may have been my own fault that I didn't question this, is that it had an $18 a night parking fee.

Hotel beds are small and rooms are not equipped with a refrigerator or microwave. You can request a fridge for a fee. However for as much as the hotel charges, it should be included. Key cards in and out of parking lot rarely works. Food prices in restaurant are extremely expensive.

I made my reservation about a week before my arrival. Upon my arrival I found out I was upgraded to a suite with no extra charge. Just wonderful. Nice and relaxing room with a view of the city. Very nice staff and my suite was very inviting.

The beds are so comfortable. I make this my hotel of choice when working in the OC despite shuttle bumping priorities given to airline staff over other guests. Hotel is fairly clean, great beds, nice room, bar is nice but a little pricey. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but they charge 5 star prices because of the location. Tip: For the price of food and drinks at the hotel vs walk-able restaurants, all very comparable pricing and good food so it just depends on if you want to get out and walk or ... Read more
