This is a good example of the updated Embassy Suites franchise. Gone is the tired hacienda-style decor, replaced by sleek contemporary furnishings. Helpful desk staff, nice rooms with a real door separating the living area from the bedroom. This was my first try if the 'digital key' feature, and it certainly seems to make it slower to open your door. Maybe with more experience this will become more convenient, but for now it seems like a solution in search of a problem. Vibrante, the restaura... Read more

If you are looking for a big room, it's great. This Emabasy Suites recently renovated so it's actually nice. You have a separate room for a twin double beds. Pillows and Beds are comfy. Has microwave and good coffee supply inside the room. Breakfast is good enough. Gym is quite small and no view. Strategically located in OC.

Great location. Close to my office and not far from Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. Rooms were remodeled and comfortable. Liked the complimentary breakfast and the coffee was good. Friendly staff. Did not use the pool facilities but used the gym. Gym was small but had the basics to get a workout in while traveling. Gets crowded there on the weekends so allow time for standing in lines to get breakfast and/or finding a table to sit if you don't want to take food back to your room.

Check in was not normal ES. Agent couldn't get the remote key to work, had to switch my room after I had already checked in online. No regular coffee in my room, bugs flying around in the room, didn't refresh bathroom amenities each night.

Embassy Suites never disappoints. This time, they went above and beyond their usual great service. We got a shuttle quickly coming from and going to the airport. They accommodated our very early check in since they were able to find a room. They even provided us breakfast on both days. The complimentary breakfast is a delight.

Used Embassy Suites as a home base while we explored Catalina Island and Orange County destinations with my sister, visiting from St Louis. We loved the new updated decor. The rooms were very comfortable and live up to the suite name. The bathrooms are very bright and also generously sized for a several day to extended stays. Beach towels were available at the salt water pool and spa area. Railing for pool was a tad wobbly but that probably has a work order in to fix, knowing how well this h... Read more

Poor management of the cocktail hour and overindulgence by a group of 6 or 7 guests resulted in the shuttle bus driver being bullied into taking this group to a local restaurant, while leaving me to wait until the bus returned for my SCHEDULED return to Santa Anna Airport.

Over all my husband & I enjoyed our stay. We loved the decor, style and such. There were two bummers for us, but not deal breakers. The parking was a hassle so we went to the over flow parking and the table seating for breakfast was hard. BOTH not too bad for us, but we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy, shower pressure was nice, lighting was great in the bathroom and best of all our rooms fell clean and didn't feel "icky" like some hotels. Definitely will stay here again :)

This place didn't live up to our standards, but could a great stay for others. We were looking for a nice and relaxing place that is family-friendly. The Good - staff in general were friendly and helpful. The room was decent. We liked having a refrigerator and microwave. That's important for a family with young kids. Could not connect to Internet. Requested another room for remainder of stay. This room was far better, however. my car was vandalized in paid parking, breakfast chef should be fired. he doesn't like his job so he should get another. We experienced his rudeness on 2 previous visits, the guy needs to be replaced by someone more pleasant. Taking everything into consideration we may have to stay elsewhere after sta numerous times at this hotel.I am sure this falls on deaf ears.

I've stayed here 10+ times on business trips. The entire staff - from the front desk, the breakfast and complimentary happy hour crews, to house cleaning - has always been warm, gracious and responsive. The rooms are clean and modern. The beds are comfortable and sleep well. The gym is on the smaller side, but adequate for a good workout. I like staying here and look forward to my next visit.

Overall, a very good hotel for families. A few things to keep in mind for your future stay: Parking - When the hotel's parking garage is full, the hotel will place signs to use the other (shared) parking garage. Many of us were driving around in circles until I called the hotel front desk and was informed that signs were just placed to direct us to the other parking garage. The parking is very small so your lucky if you find parking. You'll have to park in the commercial parking lot and pay a nightly fee. They often over book and send guests to another hotel, (atrium). I was sent and was in line with other upset guests. If you have an option, stay somewhere else.

Waited almost 45 minutes & went up. When we got inside the room smelled of smoke. The maids came rushing in & scared... Read more

This place is transforming nicely. Lobby looking good and remodeled room quite nice. Bathroom fixtures upgraded, bright lighting, well set up for getting work done after a day on the road. Wifi reliable. Comfy bed. Great spot for business travel. 5 minutes from SNA airport so easy in and out as well. Digital key access is really convenient - you really don't ever need to go to the front desk.

I don't often stay at an Embassy Suites...many reasons which I won't get into. This location is the exception. It's amazing, they've been recently remodeled and it shows. Lots of amenities, despite the courtyard style of all of these type of locations, it was quite in my room, which was clean, stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with many options. Awesome wifi!! First time ever where I didn't have to log back in every five minutes! Lots of amenities for the business traveler! ... Read more

I have stayed in many Hiltons and this has been, by far, my favorite hotel experience . The ambience is beautiful and peaceful. The staff is friendly and the rooms are beautiful and spaceous. I worked with Dorothy who accommodated the needs I had to stay in this hotel longer than expected and even upgraded my room when nothing was available online. Terry, went above and beyond to assist in what I needed to make my trip easy and hassel free. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or staff ... Read more

This is my second trip to Irvine. I arrived on Sunday and the area around the hotel is a business district where all business and most restaurants are closed on Sunday. I reviewed the room service menu and for my app I ordered Vibrant Spiced Pepitas which I ate separatist and also loaded onto my salad. For my main, I enjoyed the poached Pear Salad w/chicken and for desert, ice cream. The meal was fabulous! Will order again tonight. Overall, the hotel is nice and less expensive than other cha... Great place for the cost. Very quiet neighborhood on the weekends. Breakfast area was big and held lots of people. Omelet line was long but otherwise not too bad for a heavy weekend crowd. Still some construction/renovations being done but not too intrusive.

Have stayed at several Embassy Suites and this one is number 1! Great staff although the bar staff could use a bit of an attitude adjustment. Room was clean, well decorated and had charging ports and outlets everywhere I turned. Bathroom was impeccable. Shuttle service was fast, friendly and even took me to my meeting mile down the road. Not sure what else I could have asked for! OK, a nicer bar staff.

Stayed here about one week ago. We stay here three to four times a year. It is always clean, and comfortable. A convenient place near the John Wayne Airport and plenty of places to eat close by. There are many shops within a few minutes drive for spending your money at too. Always a good breakfast in the AM.

I was in OC, California the week of September 11. The check in experience was great. I had the ability to choose my room a day prior to my departure for California from MD. The front desk office manager, John Pease, was very friendly and courteous. Would definitely stay at this Embassy Suites again.

We have stayed in a great deal of various Embassy Suites. This one, by far, is the nicest one to date. The furnishings and decor are contemporary and pleasing to the eye. The bed was very comfortable and loved the space that a suite allows. To those people who have had bad experiences due to children run rampantly wild, I suggest that you inquire before booking your room if they expect a sports group at the time of your stay. Also, if you prefer high end alcohol, be sure to bring your own! The b... Read more

The room was very clean, everything worked right, and it was overall above average. The location is ok. Not many restaurants within walking distance, but still enough to have some choices. The food at the hotel restaurant was good too. I'm pretty burned out on hotel breakfasts in general, but I did actually like theirs! Huge selection and tasted good. The m... Read more

The staff has no sense of urgency to help the guests, and acts annoyed that they have to greet me, or help me. It appears they prefer to talk and gossip with each other, than help the guests. We love the embassy and associated Hilton hotels. The family was originally on the floor then somehow the rooms werenâ??t. They did what they could and fixed it so that we were still in the same hotel. You cant go wrong staying at the Embassy even when things go wrong. Place was remodeled and looked amazing. Rooms were clean and cant beat the complimentary breakfast. Even with the misunderstanding, I will always try and book Embassy when available!!!

For some reasons they stop serving breakfast very early , around 9:30 or so.
