Very nice for a hampton inn, but a bit expensive especially during special events at UCSB. Very nice and helpfull staff. Rooms are cleaned well and service is outstanding. Would have given them 5 stars if their prices were more reasonable. But i do understand they are a business and there is high demand for their rooms.

This hotel is close by everything in Goleta and easy to reach from the airport or the 101. Like many (but not all) Hampton Inns; it's clean, well run and provides all of the amenities you'd expect. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

This was intended as just a stopover on our way home, but it turned out to be a really enjoyable stay. The hotel is pure Hilton in terms of quality and amenities but quite unusual in the way the staff performed. We stayed in nice smaller hotels on this trip but this large corporate one was a winner in every respect.

Expensive location convenience. Breakfasts standards at Hamptons are at the bottom of the Hilton industry: nothing real to eat (even fresh fruits were sugar coated). Hamptons are usually a price sensitive Hilton quality option. Too expensive to qualify here.

Good service - prompt and helpful front desk staff Great complimentary breakfast buffet - lots of options, attentive staff, great hours!! Clean, large rooms, good beds and clean restrooms. Slightly overpriced - that may have been the long weekend.

Room and staff were excellent, better rates than in central SB; convenient to freeway & local restaurants; pool & jacuzzi were deserted (yay) but spa wasn't hot enough, free, hot breakfast was good w/ good variety of options.

The staff was kind & friendly. The complimentary hotel breakfast was delicious & full of choices for a family with kids. Please buy new mattresses. The pillows & mattress were too soft. The bed should be firm & feel new as opposed to a mushy old worn mattress. The bathroom toilet was dirty.

My husband and I stayed here overnight on UCSB graduation weekend. We had made our reservations well in advanced. Upon room selection, we requested far away from the elevators and ice machine. We arrived Saturday afternoon, service was excellent. When we arrived at our room, it was a perfect spot as requested. The room was big with microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. The bathroom along with the room was clean. We also took advantage of the hot tub/pool. Next morning we had a complimentary... Read more

Location is perfect for my son who is a student at UCSB. Very warm and wonderful staff and have never had a problem. Have stayed here 3 or 4 times in the past 9 months. Coffee and tea bar are available all day and warm baked cookies are complimentary in the evening. Rooms are always very clean. I am picky when it comes to accommodations. I do not have a problem speaking up when there is a problem in my room. Very enjoyable stay for my family.

We wanted to visit friends in Lompoc, so we made plans to go up and stay the night, but the hotels in Solvang were too expensive. Staying here was very nice and not too far of a drive. The staff were very nice and the free breakfast buffet was very good. We would be happy to stay here again.

Family outing. Near beach, freeway, basic shopping needs, etc. Not crowded like Santa Barbara nearby. This keeps A Dad from getting "vacation stress". Good base for families to start from for a days worth of activities. Also a breakfast bar. Load up and bring to room or eat downstairs.

An excellent and solid choice for a hotel in the greater Santa Barbara area. The reception team at its front desk immediately greeted our party of four and promptly checked us in. During the process they advised us fully of the hotel's amenities, including its complimentary breakfast and the "to go" breakfast for our early airline departure. They both offered excellent dinner recommendations in the area and were alert to every need. The rooms are exceedingly clean and spacious. The heating ... Read more

Hampton Inn is a quiet retreat within the quiet of Goleta, CA. Hotels are lower priced than in Santa Barbara proper and there are no parking fees. Santa Barbara is just a few minutes south on CA 101. Guests are close to UC-Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara airport. The Hampton Inn is nicely appointed and the staff is friendly.

This property is a Hampton Inn-branded hotel, and so if you have been to one of those you know what you should expect to find here (including the possibility of making your own tasty waffles at breakfast, hehe). I have been a fan of Hampton Hotels, but not this one. I am disappointed at the quality of the service and the rooms. We barely got any rest during our four-night stay because the air conditioner rattled and moaned all night. The area around the hotel is industrial/fast food; not a place to wander around and see the sights. I will stay at Hampton Hotels again, but not this one.

The real issue with this room is the lack of a closet or anything that resembles a wardrobe to hang your clothes. My shirts and jacket had to hang on hooks in the bathroom to relax from the suitcase. Convenient location and decent rooms.

While the hotel was clean, the queen size bed was extremely mushy, resulting in less than an adequate night's rest (we stayed two nights). The air/heat unit was very noisy which further contributed to our poor review. It is worth noting, however, that the staff were professional. We had a billing issue that fortunately was resolved, thank to one of the staff people. This hotel has the right staff in place but needs to upgrade the units (ie. beds and air/heat units).
