"The Hotel is not up to it's Name. Poor in Cleanliness. I felt like I was in some cheap hotel or motel. They did not bother to pick up guest from the place they dropped off.
When called said the only have few shuttle services. We waited for 2 hours in cold weather with kids. In schedule it said they have shuttle services every hour."

"I would not recommend this hotel. The room was very dirty. There was mildew in the bathroom ceiling and in the corner by the heater/ AC. We had no A/C what's so ever had to have the windows cracked opened. Found lost items, such as wrappers, toilet roll and a comb under the bed so it clearing states they probably don't even vacuumed the dirty rugs. Our room was not cleaned at all one day. Very frustrating to come late and into a not made room. when complained all they did was make the beds and change the towels.. Didn't even change the sheets or clean the bathroom.. Grossed out.. Buffet Breakfast.. Eggs with handful of sausages, potatoes, toast, frozen little pancakes, sliced oranges and either rice or pasta. Every day the same thing.. Nasty coffee and hot tea is already brewed . Watered orange juice. If you think it's a plus cause bb is included think again.. We ate out most of the time. Dont be fooled by the pictures. the only plus is the shuttle bus to Disney."

"Coffee was not that great, tasted like somebody put there cigarette out in it. and eggs were runny and really not much of a selection. When you walk in the lobby It smells like cheap Aerosol. You can definitely smell the age of the building and the carpets are pretty dingy ,,you will definitely want to keep your sandals on. You definitely get what you pay for. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Let me start off by saying I know I didn't pay a lot for this hotel but what I did was too much. We book this hotel for 3 nights after the first night and second room we checked out and went to a different hotel. The first room we walked into was 'clean' and ready to be checked into when my daughter and I walked in it looked like someone had been sleeping in the beds so they gave us another room that one wasn't any better between the mold in the bathroom,the smell,the water damage in the corner of the room and the fact my kids didn't want to take their shoes off because the carpet was so dirty. We will never stay at this hotel ever even if it was free"

"First room was filthy..no idea what was on the sheets . Guestservice staff was super sweet. They 'upgraded' us when I showed them the pic of the sheets. Was disappointed that the upgraded room was the exact same as the first room except the sheets looked clean. Floor was super dirty and under the bed was pretty nasty. But the view was lovely from the 7th floor and The beds looked cleaner. Price was excellent, i see nothing wrong with old buildings, but cleanliness was completely not there. Breakfast tasted ok but got really boring after day 3 so we opted out and just bought breakfast the last 2 mornings. Pride in cleanliness should be a must. I feel sorry for the (i was told) new mgt of house keeping... They need to do some serious fires and hires in housekeeping dept....would not recommend unless every room had a total bleach scrub down."

They have mattress pads that looked clean but I did not feel comfortable. As for the bathroom... I've seen better bathrooms at a gas station. The floor, and walls were very dirty. We only stayed one night; however, if our stay was longer we would of checked out and continued our visit at another hotel."

"We stayed 3 nights. It was a good price and just five miles from the Anaheim Convention Center. The food was good but there was no variation. When we arrived, our room had no curtains and on the ground floor with a plumber and his truck right outside our window.. They moved us to a different building on the third floor. We were told that there was a problem with the water. They told us that the water was turned of but would be on right away. We we unable to use the toilet or shower. When it came on (very late), the water was scalding hot. We are talking ALL water, even that in the toilet. We were not able to use the shower the next morning. The pillows were terrible and the comforter was so heavy and uncomfortable (like lead). We went to the local Target store and purchased pillows and a regular blanket to use for the rest of the time. The water issue was taken care of but the shower had a slow drain so it was like bathing and showering at the same time. The pool area looked nice as did the lobby. It was close to shopping and food. I would probably not stay again."

"When I first checked in the front desk service had little to be desired. It seemed that I was bothering the boys behind the counter with my check in. I had no special request just a check in. My room smelled musky, the carpet was extremely dirty, mold in the bathroom, hair on the ceiling. This wing of the hotel is in poor condition. The smoke detector by the elevator was hanging from the ceiling! I did get a deal for my room but I was expecting a 3star hotel not a 1 ½ hotel.
The breakfast was good except it lacked variety. When you stay 5 days, the eggs and sausage gets old. My coffee maker broke on the second day and it took more than 24hrs and me asking several times to get a new one. The one they gave me spit out white flakes with it. I gave up.
I will say the rest of my stay after the first night the staff was very polite and friendly. I would not stay here again.

"First, I would like to state, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. When I arrived, I didn't realize a mircowave or refrigerator wasn't included, so I requested for the upgrade for $10.00 per day, but since it was late, the front desk advise, they would note my account & let the house keeping know to bring these up first thing in the morning, but nothing was brought up, so on our way to leave, I reminded the front desk, that I didn't receive any items in our room and if they can bring them up to our room. Once we returned to our room, again nothing brought up, so I walked down to the front desk to request again as well as some fresh towels, they said they don't have any bath towel available, so he only gave me 1 pool towel & a few hand towels. He said the janitor will be right up, they only brought up the refridgerator, so I called the front desk and let him know to bring the microwave up, they never came. Next day, as I was picking up my boys clothes, I noticed garbage under the bed, and the coffee maker still had old brewed coffee grounds w/ filter in it...so gross...
The bathroom has no fans to vent out the steam so there is mold on the walls. And the tower rooms was supposed to be newly modeled so they say...must be since 1980's, they still have popcorn ceiling & big box tv's...
By the third night, I just let them know not to charge me for the upgrade since they never brought it up. They never even gave us fresh new towel everyday...their bed is not comfortable, this is the first hotel that I was dissatified with...and will definetely will not be back."

"We stayed 4 nights, the hotel is very nice, especially the swimming pool area, the room is ok, the comforter feels dirty, the bath tub was so plugged up, we called the front desk, they sent someone to fix it, but, it still draining very slowly, they also told us the fan in the bathroom is automatically turn on, but, it doesn't seem to work at all, I think the breakfast hours should be from 6am to 11am, the staffs are friendly, I like their parkings, the hotel is in a good location."

"Hotel run down...well I meant run down but yeah that too.
Most of the security doors are left unlocked for convience of hotel staff.
Same food everyday for breakfast for 9 days straight (not sure how you get hair in frozen pancakes but they did it). IHOP up the street if you stay know that
Loud guest in hotel everynight we stayed (yelling, drunk, peeling out in parking lot all hours) Once you fall asleep the delivery trucks will start pulling in to the stores next door at 4 am.
When I checked in I asked if the other enterance to the hotel had a luggage cart and I was informed it gets taken somtimes and if I wanted to wheel the other one from the main enterance all the way around the hotel I could use it?
Shower did not turn on all the way and half the water still went down the tub. All of the walls are in need of repainting, scuffs everywhere.
The ice machine was missing from our floor but the signs still guide you to where it once sat.
On the upside the maids do the best they can to clean and never stole anything. And no one used the pool and the water was very warm. Location is close to everything good and bad."

I'd rather sleep on the ground than stay here again!
1. If you like Roman/Japanese furnishings - you'll love this combination!
2. Carpet filthy.
3. Smells like old.
4. Restaurant. What a joke. Dinner menu consists of 5 oriental meals that by the menu pictures, my dog wouldn't eat. Breatkfast buffet: only until 9AM, so no sleeping in. Nonetheless the food is cold, cold, cold and tasteless. Don't even think of asking for milk!
5. Pray you have good neighbors because staff does not care how many calls of complaints they receive.
Two nights my family went without sleep, along with the rest of our floor!! young adults ran rampant through the halls and into each others rooms from 9PM - 4AM - BOTH NIGHTS!!!
Management said each time we called to complain they were fully aware of what was going on. Do you think they would have done something about it?!! No! They told me that these kids were only staying one night, when in fact they were staying two! We asked to be moved, but were told; 'we're sold out!, but don't worry there wouldn't be any trouble tonight.' Lie, lie, lie.
Usually when you check out the Front Desk asks; 'How was your stay?' Amazingly, they didn't dare.
Pathetic. The only plus to staying here was the town of Fullerton. Lovely. Offers so much - especially something good to eat. Oh, the hotel does offer shuttle service to Disneyland, but if you need a ride between 11AM & 5PM, you'll have to stick out your thumb or take a taxi ($16.00)!!
There is no value in the discount rates offered for this hotel. You couldn't pay me to stay here again or for that matter any Howard Johnsons.

"This was an inexpensive hotel that was available while others we usually stay at were not. The beds were clean and so was the room. TVs were old but ok. My daughters room tub didn't drain well so after one shower her friend had to wade during her shower. The breakfast was the same every morning but was good and they had fresh oranges which was a plus. It was nice not to worry about getting breakfast before heading out to the park and they opened at 6:00 so we could get to early morning entry. The decor reminded me of hotels I stayed in when in Taiwan. We weren't there much since we had 3 day passes to D-land and just basically slept there. The pool was warm and we soaked our sore feet in it before heading back to the park. The D-land shuttle was not real convient so we just drove and paid for parking the 3 days. It shut down from 2:00 to 5:00 and didn't leave til 8:00 which is when d-land opens. Hotel was easy to find and easy acces to freways. For the $$ it was fine and what I would expect for that price range."

"Where do I start? Ok the begining. The girl I talked to told me that many people stay at the hotel and are very happy with the room. So I asked if it was clean, she assured me yes. Well after a long drive we arrived at the hotel. The foyer was nice and looked to be clean. After check in we had to load and take our luggage to the room, no help. Wow if I could have backed up I would have. The room smelled, carpets were filthy filthy, bed comforter dirty, sheets that you could see through, pillows were half the size of regular pillows, doors and windows dirty, bathrooms patched up with a gallon of caulking, Forget about the towels it was like toweling with sand paper. Yes you get what you pay for!! But really, it cost nothing for cleanliness. Hey they give you a free hot breakfast!! But wait you better be down there between 7AM and 9AM on your vacation. Hey we are on vacation !!! could you make the hours between 7AM and 11AM, so we could possibley sleep in. Believe me if I could have walked out I would have. But that would have put me on a search for a room on those days and in a pinch. So I had to shut up and stay there. But that will be my last time. Please read reviews we take the time to either warn you or recommend the hotel. No grudes just an honest review.

"I stayed at the Howard Johnson Summer of 2012. I was very happy with the location because I was able to purchase food for my trip and there was lots of stores close by. The breakfast was hot and the same every morning but over all good. Looks like they are working or remodling the rooms. My room rug had stains on carpet and the wall paper was coming off in places. The room needs a bit of modernization. The Hotel was clean and kept clean which I appreciated that. The staff was not very friendly. They where to each other but I hardly ever saw they greet or egknowledge I was there. I would have like them to make me feel they where happy I was there not make me feel as if i was in the way. The bus driver closed the door in the bus. It was SOO HOT! Maybe he should of started to ac up before we all loaded on board. No windows where down it was a miserable 15 min drive. Sit by the window so you can open yourself. While waiting for the bus we sat by the water fountain. And wow!!! Ants all over the place. They need to spray bad. The pool was nice. Then housekeeping didnt have extra pillows or blinkets. What??? Thats was weird. When I took a shower the bathroom the mirror was foggy and hot because the vent wasent working or they didnt have one not sure. The location and breakfast and pool was the best things. I hope they read this. They could be a better Hotel. Just need a good manager and to be updated a bit. Lots of potential. I would go back to give them another try."

"To start, the breakfast they offered was very poorly. They need to improve the maintenance group, they were kind, but they're cleaning was not approved. The hotel didn't include a microwave or a small fridge like the other Howard Jhonsons. I expected more from the hotel. I am definitely not staying there again. I am sorry to say that the hotel did not meet my standards!"

"The pictures of the rooms posted on the website is opposite of what we walked into... Pillows were dingy and stained as opposed to being white. Wallpaper was peeling off of the wall. The room was not dusted in a long time, cobb webs lined the curtains. The room is hideous, my wife even cried and my daughter wanted to leave. I re-booked within the hour @ Paradise Hotel in Disneyland and didn't even bother to check out of HJ and took a loss. I know better now to spend $1400 than waste $500 in a dump like this..."

"The front of the hotel looks nice, lobby is very pretty. Our room however was not. We were on the main floor straight down the primary hallway. Our room was not clean by my standards, peeling wallpaper, cracked outlet covers, crumbs on the carpet around the bed, water pockets/marks on the ceiling, smoke detector didn't have a battery and the cover was just hanging there. The bathroom floor was awful, my son spilled some water when he took his bath, when i mopped it up with a clean towel it came up black from the floor, under the counter was filthy and splattered with who knows what! The hair dryer didn't work, i had to call room service for a new one. On the 2nd day when the room was serviced they took the dirty towels but didn't leave clean ones, had to call room service again. Breakfast was so so, the same things each day - food was warmish but not hot (who likes cold pancakes?) I honestly don't feel this hotel was worth what i paid, surprised to find out the normal rate is $125...you get cheaper better service in Vegas! We left a day early and relocated to another hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone traveling with a family, especially young children. "

"The hotel is defenetly older. It is clean and good enough when you are using it to go to disneyland. The carpet is old, but ok. Don't count on the free breakfast to satisfy you though. Greasy potatoes, refried rice?, eggs and sausages and watermelon. I took my own breakfast knowing this in advance. Like I said not a great 5 star resort but ok for rest between the days spent at disney. Free shutlle!! perfect."

"My family and I enjoyed our stay here, the location was great with everything you need from gas, food, clothes and more within a walking distance or driving. Hotel was clean as well as the room: beds and sheets were very comfortable to sleep on. Prices were great and staff was on point. "I took my 6 year old daughter to DisneyLand for a long weekend staying at this hotel. Overall it was a good experience. Free breakfast and shuttle were good. They have 2 shuttles, one newer and the other an old 'bluebird' big bus that looks really old compared to busses you see at the park. hotel is decent. Nice decor, statues and fountains, with lots of shops within walking distance. My daughter liked it so I'm happy. Expect to hear many different languages. The internet photo wasn't working the 5 minutes we tried randomly. This is not embassy suites and could use new carpeting, but for the price we're happy."

"This hotel provided what I needed, cheap and that is what I received. The best thing I have to say is that the front desk staff was very friendly. I had an issue with the shuttle to Disneyland and the manager was supposed to contact me, needless to say he did not because I am sure he did not want to deal with it. While the bed was comfortable, the linens and bedspread needed to be updated big time and the whole room looked tired. If I had not paid the 69.00 per night package rate, I would have been upset to pay more than that. The breakfast was horrendous. I did not eat anything of it but my husband tried, I just had coffee. The pancakes were a small circle, cold and rubbery. The eggs were cold as was the sausage and the coffee, if you can call it that, was watered down. There was no real creamer but powder creamer which I tasted right away. We thought maybe they were having a bad day, the the breakfast was just as bad the next day. I spoke to other guests there, (that spoke English because this hotel really caters to Asian travellers) and they had the same experience with their breakfast, awful. The shuttles to the park are old, and have seen better days. Again, I got what I paid for,lesson learned."

"Price and value excellent. The shuttle to Disney Land has limited times so one time we had to take a taxi back to the room ($13.50). Breakfast wasn't the best but it was FREE. Pool was great and the diversity of the people staying there was refreshing. Check under the beds before leaving...housekeeping shoved a couple of items under the bed that we would have missed when we got home. Bang for Buck excellent."

"The shuttle to Disneyland was a nice bonus. Just make sure to get the information of where to catch the shuttle and the times the shuttle runs. The breakfast was so, so but it was free. We only ate there one of the four mornings we were there. Just got coffee and hot water for tea from the breakfast place. Had a nice pool, but we were so busy we did not get a chance to use it."

"The hotel in general was nice, however we had a problem with ants in the room. (In the bathroom and the bedroom). The bathtub would not drain properly, with standing bath /shower water. "We stayed at this hotel for five nights, one room for us/my kids, and another for my parents. When the fridge we rented was delivered the staff put a small hole in the wall so I had to call to report it so I wasn't charged for it. One morning we woke up and there was NO hot water in our room or my parents. I have never been to a hotel that ran out of hot water. On the last night we were there, after being at Disney for eleven hours I was trying to take a bath before bed, kids were already in bed. My faucet would in tub wouldn't turn off! I had to call the desk and we got moved...at 11p.m. had to pack up our whole room and move down the hall. It was awful, and the hotel didn't offer us anything for the inconvenience. One day we didn't get our towels replaced til the evening. The free Disney shuttle doesn't run all day."

"The place is not what I expected. It, looked great in the pictures but in actual, it was opposite. They were in the midle of replacing carpets in certain rooms. Lots of banging noise, scattered hallways with bed matresses and furnitures. The only good thing about our stay was that they keep our room clean everyday. The worse part was that, when we were unloading our clothes from the laugage we found a unfamiliar big sized T-shirt, that has a wording of San Francisco Tour Guide on it with s cartoon pictures of a multiple females undress from head to breast. Very un appropriate and unprofessional. My husband and I questioned each other about the unfamiliar T shirt. Are they allowed to insert anything in our laugage without our knowledge? After that incedent, I dont feel safe for my self and my family. I would not go back and would not recomend to anybody. The place needs a huge transformation to satisfy clients."

"Stayed here with the cam for my son's second birthday. We booked 2 rooms separately and the staff was nice enough to upgrade my sisternS room for free so that we could be on the same floor. They had outdoor pool which was nice for the kids to swim around in. But the carpet had a humid feel to them like they just a carpet cleaning but didn't bother for it to dry. Phone in room didn't work to call for more towels so I had to run down hallway in my pjs and hairn all wild to get someone to get some towels. Other than that it was worth the price"

"Unfortunately, our room was a dirty. The beds were neatly made but I found a bug partical and hair in one of the queen beds. Which by the way are more like double beds not queen. The floor carpets are in desparate need to be replaced they are stained and dingy brown in many spots. The hotel is old and the decor is mismatched and odd. The room itself had an old air conditioner which with the moisture of California makes the room smell and seem moldy. I tried to turn on the heat once and it smelled horrible. There is no fan ventialtion in the bathrooms which makes the steam very hard to break after showering. The TV was the old box TV and had only a few channels. The breakfast was nice to have a hot buffet but was very limited and had no drinks other than the typical 'coffe, watered down juice and water pitchers'. We only ate there one day out of the 3 nights we spent there. The shuttle was only run at 8, 9 and 11 am then returned back at 5pm only. We opted to drive ourselves. The best thing about the hotel was the convenience of the location from Disneyland. And even that was about 5 miles away. Thanks but no thanks. "

The only problem we had was that our keycard would not work about half the time, and we'd have to get the office to re-magnetize it. One evening there was a large conference going on and there was no parking, but the staff found a safe place to park our car until the next morning."

"Arrived at the hotel and the exterior looked awesome. Problems are: 1) Limited shuttle service. No shuttle from 1115am until 1700pm. Too long a time gap here when you have little one's who need to go down for a nap in a quite place. 2) Coming back to the hotel after being gone to the park all day we were greeted with the restaurant area being converted into a nightclub. Not what we really want to expose the little ones to this type of scene. 3) Breakfast was terrible and is the same everyday. There is some type of mystery breakfast noodles, Spanish rice, red potato slices, cold mini pancakes, OJ or water (had to request milk for the baby), hot tea that was pre-made and not strained, toast, and orange slices. Had to fight just to get a to-go plate to take to our sleeping child. I was told no way too many times about taking breakfast to my child as was another parent who had a child with diabilites. I made the decision to just take food up anyways (as my thought is what are they going to do about it) when the manager relented and let me take food out. The only silver lining here is that I was able to teach my wife that cheap is not always the best way to go. My family will never again stay here and we will not recommend this hotel either! Oh, before I forget, the bathrooms were clean but very old... it looked like Cookie Monster tried to gnaw on the toilet seat and the bathtub/shower had seen its better days!!! "

Music would rattle all the rooms til 2 am in the morning! Rooms had black mold on the tile, there was no lighting in the rooms, electricity was shot I thought it was going to start on fire! "Quite possibly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Room was muggy with no ventilation. Carpets were filthy. Hotel was loud, and they host a nightclub at their restaurant on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (which attracts an unpleasant crowd). Shuttle to Disnleyland is not convenient in that there is no service after 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Need to use city bus in the afternoons, or early mornings if you want to get to Disneyland early. Also no evening shuttle at 9:15 pm or after 11:00 pm. Again, need to use city bus if you plan to stay at Disneyland later. Breakfast was okay, but would have loved a cold cereal option and some fruit (other than orange slices). Eggs contain sausage in them -- would have preferred eggs separate from sausage. We got what we paid for. Lesson learned."

"We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, its close to basic conveniences, the staff very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The breakfast was ok, a good range was on offer to suit a variety of cultures, my only concern was the time, 6-9am (who gets up before 9am when theyre on holidays!) The rooms could have used a fridge and microwave, ice buckets were available and there was a community microwave in the lobby area, although i wouldnt recommend using it, it was filthy and i dont think this room is on their cleaning schedule. The only problem we had was the constant noise from the freeway traffic. Our room faced the I91 and it felt like we were sitting on top of the freeway. On the first night I was still awake after 3am listening to the traffic. Overall ,for the price we paid we'd go back with earplugs"

"After driving 9 hours to get to Anaheim, I was pleasantly surprised with this Hotel. The decor was outstanding; huge gold-framed mirrors, statues, crystal chandeliers, and live irises all over! I felt like I was in a palace. Check in took a long time, but it was the middle of Spring Break. There was a booking error, so I got a free upgrade. The breakfast was very nice. The room was comfortable and the bed was like a big pillow. Ahhh! The shuttle schedule was given to me at check-in, so there was no misunderstanding about time. My kids and I had a great time."

"Our experience was at best average. Some disappointments were that the building was old and because of it there was no air circulation in the bathroom. It was very muggy having a shower. It would be very good to have working fans that circulate in the bathrooms especially having bath or shower. What we were told was that the distance from Disneyland to and from the hotel was within walking distance,but that was not true. You do need a shuttle to get around. The shuttle service was good,but not often enough. It would have been better to have it run every 20 minutes,but at least every 30 minutes. Breakfast was good,but not enough variety. Staying there for a hot breakfast for 8 days having the same menu gets very old. I just wish they could have had some more variety. Anyway,we made do with what we were given,but I don't think I would stay there again or recommend this to my family or friends."

"After checkin, one of the 2 card keys provided by receptionist does not work. I have to go back to the front desk and told them about the problem. The receptionist did not even say sorry for the inconvenience he made. The shower drain does not work. We have to take a shower with pool of water in your feet about 4' deep. That was awful to take shower like that... We called receptionist to ask for 4 bath towels. The towels came in after 3 calls to the front desk. It took about 3 calls and 45 minutes of wait to get 4 extra towels. The maid was infront of our door and we asked for 4 towels and she told us to call front desk before she could give us 4 bath towels. It's really a poor service. It was not a convenient stay with us for 2 nights...."

"Myself and my family had a great stay. We were in town for a Natural Health Expo and found the hotel Disney shuttle to work wonderfully well for us to visit the expo each day. We then used it again to visit Disneyland. The hotel was great, the kids loved the pool, the only negative was that housekeeping threw out some of our food by mistake. The hotel were very good at trying to rectify this though. So much so that we decided to come back for a night later in our travels and they gave us a discounted rate."

"I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice and the price was right. The complimentary hot breakfast was delicious. I loved the look of the hotel on the inside, it was very inviting and they had disney music playing through the speakers in the lobby. It was the perfect place for our family to stay. The free shuttle service was awesome, however I do wish that there would have been a shuttle that would pick up people after the Disneyland Park closed so we could enjoy the main street shops after the rides were shut down."

"hotel was average for what we paid. The rooms are dark with very little lighting and the hallways in the hotel are rather dark as well. Never got around to using the pool. The shuttle to Disney doesn't run all day either which was an inconvenience when we wanted to go back in the middle of the day. We only ate the breakfast twice out of the six days we stayed. It wasn't that great and was the same thing both days we ate it. I don't think I'd ever book again here but it wasn't terrible only because we were only in our hotel to sleep in it."

"Overall the hotel is nice and clean. Everyone treated us nicely. "The cleaning lady did an excellent job in keeping our room clean. The carpets are old and dirty. We stayed there a week and after two days we could not eat their breakfast, samething every day, no flavor in the food, pancakes are gross. They advertise microwave and fridge, not in our room, at the end of our stay we found out you have to ask for it. Over all price was decent.."

"We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights, our first room was gross, moved to another, slightly better...only slightly, moved the beds together so I wouldn't have to look at the questionable stain on the carpet, and then had to put it out of my head or I never would have been able to stay. There is a reason this hotel is so cheap!! On the up side, it is close to some good shopping and restaurants, and being so far from Disney, the prices were reasonable. The breakfast was decent, same every day though. Shuttle runs on their schedule, which was fine for us, but know that you are stuck at Disney from 11-5. So, for the extremely cheap price, it was OK, but overall, not a nice hotel at all."

"we were at the hotel in fullerton,ca, on harbor blvd, from feb 29th to march 3. the staff at the hotel were all very friendly; however, we did not feel the quality of the hotel was up to standards. we had four people in our room and had to call for towels every day - we were given one wash cloth and two bath towels each day. the room was a litte small for four people but we didn't stay in the room very long so no real problem. we were given a 'hot' breakfast each day - not very hot and spongy pancakes. the sliced oranges were excellent. shuttle service to disneyland was offered but didn't run between 11:15 am and 5:15 pm. The schedule said 'break' - i would like a job that gives me a five hour break. disneyland doesn't open until 10:00 am - who is ready to go back to the hotel in 1 1/2 hours. also, on the 29th of february, the park was opened 24 hours - you would think maybe they could have run the shuttle later then 9:15 pm."

"The facility is long overdue a renovation. The poor condition of the facility must dampen the enthusiasm to keep it clean because the carpets were filthy. The linens were frayed and threadbare. "I was really worried about booking this hotel after reading all the terrible reviews on TripAdvisor.com. However, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! We were able to check in early, received an upgrade, and enjoyed a GREAT warm breakfast each day. The shuttle ran right on time to Disneyland and the front desk ladies were very helpful. The room wasn't anything special, but it was a great value!!! Oh, and it had free wi-fi, which was something that wasn't advetised. Bonus!"

"I traveled in February. When I first saw this Hotel on Bookit I thought it would be closer to Disneyland. My mistake thinking it was the Howard Johnson in Anaheim, since it came up when I searched Anaheim. It is the next town over, way too far to walk. Shuttle is no good here. It doesn't run the whole time the park is open. If you have little ones that will want to nap mid-day the shuttle is out. They break from 11-5. The shuttle doesn't start running until 9am and stops 45 minutes before the park closes. The breakfast is ok. Red potatoes, scrambled eggs with sausage, toast and pancakes, OJ and coffee. Waffles for an extra fee. Pool area was ok, but no hot tub. From the pictures the pool area is the only things that matches.The rooms need lots of work, bad wall paper patch jobs, cracked tiles, bathroom- shower curtain had mold/mildew on it, looking up at the heater vent was disgusting,it was covered in dust. Looks like it has been years since it was cleaned. NO ventilation in the bathroom. However it was close to a natural food store, Target, Party City, Sport Authority and more in case you need something. We ended up driving to Disneyland and paying the $15 a day to park. It took about 10-15 minutes to drive. Traffic was never bad. Disneyland's parking garage is excellent, they run it smoothly. No problems getting in or out. I guess I would have to say you get what you pay for. Next time I will pay the extra to be closer to Disneyland and have a cleaner facility. I will never book a non-refundable room again without calling the hotel and clarifying things like the shuttle schedule and proximity of the location I will be going. Won't stay here again."

"The howard johnson hotel inn and conference center was not what i was expecting. It was located in fullerton which to me was not a good part of the city, the rooms were dirty, there was a hair ball in or shower drain, the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, towels were to small, the pool was very very cold, there was no ice or vending machine on our floor, my key didn't work for the hotel room, the decor could have been better, there was no fan in the bathroom either. over all i was not impressed with this hotel. And the free breakfasts in the morning were cold, no flavor and who serves rice for breakfast? not impressed would stay there again."

"if you don't mind paying $11.00 a day for a ice box only one ice machine for 7 floors one vending machine and one soda machine that spent more time broke down then working the beds were full size not queen size the carpet need cleaning on the balcony there was garbage and dirty the restraunt was only open from 6am to 10 am the free breakfast was the same saug.and scrambled eggs for 7 days there was constration the whole time"

"The room itself was clean and adequate but they advertise that they have a hot breakfast included - YOU CAN'T EAT IT - buffet style breakfast and apparently the only time it was hot was when they first set it out. Pancakes were hard on one side and mushy on the other. Eggs and sausage links were mixed together and they were cold and rubbery - we ended up going to IHop for breakfast and spending what we saved on the room (not much of a deal). I've stayed at a lot of different hotels where breakfast was included and never have had the experience I had here. Maybe the management should go to La Quinta or Comfort Suites (for example) and get ideas on what a real breakfast should include. They also offer shuttle services to Disneyland - what they don't tell you is that it is on their schedule not yours and trust me it's time to service those shuttle buses the roll-a-coaster rides at Disneyland were smoother. Good thing I got such a deal on the room or we probably would've moved to another hotel."

"I already wrote a review...But there was not enough room to explain our stay at this hotel. Pictures online were great.When were these pics taken ?10 years ago. Staff not pleasant at all. Why would the one bellhop be on lunch at check out time? Complimentary breakfast (horrible and cold) Sinks plugged up. Maint. came right away but didnt fix just removed caps as we had done.Placed in room 137. Next to I dont know what but not other rooms.Noisy,banging. The persons on opposite side had about 5 kids in room and not a peep from that room.Organization of breakfast line, and set up just not right. Very uncomfortable seating, dirty tables not cleaned fast enough for you to sit down, was told to just go sit with other people. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!!!!!"

"The not so great first: Shuttle bus doesn't run during afternoon hours, that is an inconvenience when you have small children that want to come back for naps so we didn't use. The line for the hot breakfast was out the door and a long wait. There were no cereals or snack bread items for small children. Hot breakfast was scrambled eggs, white toast, rice, dollar style cold pancakes and fried potatoes mixed w/peppers however potatoes were still too hard for me to eat. So breakfast we passed on most of the week plus I have become a coffee snob and this coffee was the worst I've tasted. Those were the not so wonderful items but the good still outweighed, hotel staff were friendly and awesome & the lobby is beautiful. About a 3 mile straight shot to Disney and really worth saving $100/night to be a little bit farther. We stayed in a tower room and the room was large enough for the 4 of us and bathroom spacious. TV was a bit small compared with other rooms we've had elsewhere but we were too exhausted to need TV. We would stay there again!"

"we stayed at this hotel for 3 nites. Pictures were nice but actual place sucks. Excuse my language. We booked this with bookit and they were wonderful and helpful. I suggest that they check out this place. The room they put us in was room 137..make sure you dont get that room! Its right next to housekeeping and parking lot. Horrible, loud noises,banging of doors and whatever else goes on in those rooms.All nite. My grandson 2 yr.old was scared due to excessive noises. The hot comp. breakfast not so hot!!! free shuttle (dirty) and ran late always. Room key didnt work,went to desk and 2 girls on phone. Waited to be at desk, as soon as one got off phone another person walked up and the desk clerk proceeded to help that person after I had been waiting. Then the desk clerk,looked at me and said 'WHAT?' I was furious but, I just said the room key doesnt work. She was RUDE!!!!"

"Overall, for the price, I would stay here again. The decor is pretty old...actually we checked in around 7pm and it was a little creepy. Again, decor is old antique-ish. Our room was on the 4th floor....LOOOONG hallway. Once we got to the room, it was exactly what we saw in the pics, nice.
We were intially going to stay at a closer hotel to disney, but for about $150 less we got the FREE shuttle and FREE breakfast (not continental; potatoes, eggs/sausage, pancakes, melon, water/coffee/juice/milk). The food was ok but it was the same every morning.
Staff was VERY friendly. We literally only came to the hotel at night to sleep, so it worked for us!"

"First of all, the pillows were about the best ever. The beds were super comfy. The rooms are clean and spacious. The towels were the only thing, they were a bit thin but for the price, and location not a big deal. The beds were the best, with the pillows. The breakfast was huge and tasty. "the hotel was clean, but a little more worn down than the pictures look. bed was comfortable. the drive to disneyland was really awesome and a straight shot. didn't take the shuttle to the resort because wasn't the best timing on when it was leaving/going (for us), but that was ok because the drive was easy. not far at all from the resort or other local places of interest. the breakfast was weird - always the same...but would have preferred a larger selection of fruit (only a melon option), and something like cereal/milk would have been nice. i didn't understand the rice they served for breakfast...yes....rice...a bit weird, but it was an edible breakfast. it's a decent hotel for sleeping/having a place to rest and clean up. luckily we didn't spend much time there, but it's not the hotel for that. it was worth the price we paid."

"Could not beat the price. The hotel is a older and run down; the breakfast could be much better (I agree have some cereal or pastries), did not use the shuttle bus as the times were inconvenient, and the hot tub was covered up. The grounds are very nice, several statues and the pool was great. We drove to Disneyland (no more than 10 min away) and came back to swim. Staff were helpful. I would stay here again if as they say 'the price is right'."

"To save some $$ this hotel is a good choice. It is close enough to everything in Anaheim and they do provide a free shuttle to Disneyland. The staff was very accomodating and the lobby and decor was very oppulent for a HoJo. The rooms themselves were fine for the price. Comfy beds, clean and quiet. My only complaint would be there was no hair dryer in the bath room, but I just called the front desk and they brought one up. Breakfast was pretty good and my kids were happy."

"The hotel was not the one I had expected but it was alright. The pool was nice and my grandson had a great time in it. The trundle bed for grandson was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever laid on. You need to provide some kindj of a foam mattress for them. Thank heaven you had some extra blankets to pad it with. Breakfast was OK but very monotanous. Surely the cook could come with a little variety. Plus, lots of children like cereal in the morning or a little yogurt. The shuttle bus was good but taking 5 hours off in the middle of the day was not re4al convenient. We would have liked to have come back to hotel to swim around noon and then go back to the park about 3. Can't please us all. Thanks "
