This Courtyard has been renovated, and very lovely rooms. Room had a nice view of the ship yards, and ocean. My favorite place to stay. Walking distance to shopping, food, and movies. Enjoy your trip to Emeryville!

The room, location, and service was excellent, I would recommend it to The hotel itself is within walking distance of restaurants, movie theater, bus lines and stores also quick access to freeways, If they enjoy seafood the marina is within driving distance( 10min) I would recommend it to travelers coming in to town.

The room was standard but clean. You could see the freeway from our window in our room, but you could not hear it. Hotel was completely booked while we were there but we never had to wait more than 10 seconds for an elevator, which was really nice and unusual in any hotel setting. Hotel is clean, up to date and in a good location. There is a nice outdoor mall across the street with numerous restaurants and stores to choose from. Close access to freeways and nearby Berkeley. Our accessible room with 2 Queen beds had plenty of room to add a roll away bed. We were there the weekend of UC Berkley's graduation so no in room refrigerators were available, so if you have medications that need refrigeration, plan ahead. Staff was great and the hotel is within easy walking distance of a variety of restaurants, a Trader Joe's and the free Emeryville GoRound shuttle stop is right across the street and the shuttle does have a wheelchair lift.

This is where we always stay when we come to the Bay Area. Hotel very well maintained. The beds are ever so comfortable. The service is impeccable. It is located across from a mall and a movie theater plus many restaurants. This is a wonderful place to stay. One tiny perk we love is that in the front of the hotel there are a few free handicap parking spots. We usually get one and manage to avoid (I think it is $14) the parking charge. Anyway, the rooms are well priced. We love this plac... Read more

There are four parts to this review: Spaciousness, fair pricing, friendly staff and transportation ease. Jeff Givens, the general manager whom I haven't met yet, runs a fantastic Courtyard Marriott in Emeryville, on the outskirts of San Francisco. I stay at Courtyards almost exclusively traveling for business or pleasure. A brand like Courtyard has to have the four points I mentioned and almost all the time they do. This is no exception. This Courtyard is big. Not palatial, but spacious. The... Read more

We'd just flown into Oakland airport and we were looking for a comfortable hotel with good restaurant possibilities nearby. This property is right off the highway and fit the bill. Bonus: a short walk to Trader Joe's where we picked up some snacks and a bottle of wine. Lots of shops across the street and restaurants were plentiful. The property was a good value for the area and the room was comfortable, spotless and quiet. The parking lot was key entry only - nice and secure. Only downside was th... Read more

This is a great hotel to stay in if you want someplace clean, comfortable, secure place to stay near Oakland, CA. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy. They have just what you need to eat in a hurry in the am. I was only there one night so I did not get the chance to check out other amenities at the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel.

I booked this hotel since it was in walking distance of our Amtrak train station. Of course, that was assuming the train got in on time at 4PM. Since it was delayed so much and we didn't get in until 11:30PM, we had to walk with 2 teenagers and all our luggage about a mile in the middle of the night to the hotel. My tip regarding that pedestrian overpass that takes you over the tracks: don't use the elevators at night! The homeless folk use them as hotel rooms so we rudely disturbed one sinc... Read more

First time in a King Suite at a Courtyard and it was lovely. Separate sitting area with fold out sofa, sink and microwave and coffee maker laid out nicely as a room divider, shared bathroom in a convenient location. We all slept well and enjoyed the fresh food for purchase in the mornings. The business center is very nice, great to be able to buy a glass of wine at night. Biggest problem we had was that the Uber drivers couldn't seem to find the address - not one of them over the course of sev... Read more

We stayed here on the last night of our weeklong wonderful trip in California. Not 30 minutes after we arrived we visited the pool that was indoors and supposed to be heated but was lukewarm to cold. The hot tub was about the temp of what the pool water should have been definitely not hot. To top it off my daughter was WALKING across the pool tile floor and it was so slippery that her feet slipped out from under her and she hit her head resulting in a huge knot. It is a nice hotel, but then, for the room prices, it should be. Neighborhood is freeway living with redevelopment surrounding. But still feels dicey at night. Parking is extra if you want to park in their lot with the gate that is hard to operate. Like most hotels in this class, a lot of other things are extra also. The views ARE very nice from the bayside rooms. I guess that is what you are really paying for. The traffic on 880 goes by at all hours. The rooms are nicely decorated in a modern... Read more

Well I requested an early check in and a high room - neither were really paid attention to as I arrived. They did allow me to check in around 1 pm - friendly desk service, but cared more about what they had to share than listening to my request. Put me in a business executive suite which faced the bay - it's a large conference room with a couch bed for the bed -weird. Plus very noisy interstate right below you. They kindly moved my room, but put me on the 3rd floor. The room was modern, sort of ... Read more

New hotel with very spacious rooms. The rooms are modern with ample space for a family of four. The lobby offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dinner menu was a little pricey (6 wings for $10). But the setup was spacious with tables for 2 - 8. Televisions also on the walls and seating was comfortable. I would definitely select this hotel again.

This was a good pick for us. We were on the 11th floor with s bay view & had breakfast included in our rate. I guess we got lucky because we didn't experience any noise. The hotel is situated near shopping & chain restaurants. Our room was small but good enough for 2 adults. The bed was a little hard to me however to my surprise I slept really well. The breakfast choice were pretty good. The food was good. We got enough bang for our buck. I would come back.

From the greeting at the check-in, bright morning smile from the barista and breakfast staff to the kind, cheerful housekeepers who greet me as if they are glad to see me while I walk the hallway to my room. I had to stop what I was doing to give KUDOS to whomever runs this hotel. The staff shines. Made my day. Thank you.

This is not my first time here and the reasons I continue to visit remain the same. First, the hotel is clean and I appreciate that. Second the staff members are friendly and that's a big plus. Finally, the location is very good. This hotel has ample food options within walking distance and an Uber ride isn't over-the-top if you want to check out SF. If you do venture into SF do so outside of rush hour as the bridge tends to back up.

I'm stuck at this hotel for what promises to be a frustrating three weeks for business. This hotel seems to have never met a business traveler before. The only things going for it are somewhat decent rooms (they have been recently remodeled and though they are cramped, they are pretty decent aside from their weird shape and odd assortment of furniture). To begin with, I've read many reviews that harp on food choices and I was very concerned in going to this hotel. When I got there, I found that the Courtyard has the typical Bistro (that all Courtyards have), and many restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were courteous. The main bar / dining area is a standard Courtyard Bistro but the outstanding feature was the retention of the coffee station! For a hotel chosen specifically because it was close to Amtrak lines, it was pleasantly quiet. I also had no problem getting a taxi to and from the station (since I didn't fancy lugging baggage through unknown streets).
