We booked one night at Embassy Suites (South) after arriving from London, as we couldn't get into our rental accommodation until the following day. A free shuttle bus is available - make sure you get on the right one! There is also an Embassy Suites North, which is situated opposite Budget Car Rental - ironically we'd booked car hire with them and discovered this whilst waiting again for a shuttle bus to switch us to the correct hotel! Our fault, but it would be helpful for the shuttle informati... Read more

Didn't know what to expect from ES LAX South but it's quirky and was ideal for a few hours of sleep on a long itinerary. It is like a pair of blocks of inward looking apartments for single people with a covered courtyard. That said it was quiet, clean, spacious and the breakfast was most reasonable. Shuttle process was a bit odd, I waved it down as it was passing and got grilled about where I was staying. Why would I get the shuttle to the hotel if I did not have a reservation there? Driver t... I ended up staying here overnight due to missing an international flight out of LAX. The hotel felt pretty big but I never experienced any unusual noises from kids or other occupants. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable as well. The bathroom was a bit small and awkward. My main disappointment was that there didn't seem to be any eaterys or shops within walking distance.

We stayed five nights at the Embassy Suites in El Segundo. The public areas are nicely decorated, the whole Ground level is very pretty, especially the fish ponds. I stayed here one night before an international flight. I was provided with a non smoking room, but we got there and it smelled like smoke. The guest services representative at the front desk promptly changed our room. The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are large. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is that the non smoking rooms smelled like smoke. The breakfast buffet was free to everyone in the hotel.

Electronic check-in was slow and selection of a room difficult. The hotel has rooms with frosted glass windows instead of clear glass windows so from these rooms guests have no visibility outside of the hotel. Dining Room and Housekeeping Staff did not speak and kept to themselves. Check-out was long as the front desk was undermanned. Also, no electronic check out was possible. Guests need to plan for this inefficient check-out process given the long lines for TSA checks.

It was disgusting. This place is old and dirty. The minute you walk into the room, there is this weird smell. The sheets were scratchy. The shower had dirt and grime on it. The tiles were black. The sink and tub were both clogged and even after we asked them to fix it, it was still really bad. Absolutely horrible. I would give this place a negative rating if possible. Would not recommend.

I booked here because they were close to the airport and allowed pets. Before I even arrived I had checked in online with the mobile app. Shortly after that I received a text from Joe informing me they had to change my room due to me travelling with my dog. The room was spacious and perfect as it had room for my furry one to run around and me to work. I asked for a late checkout which worked out well with work and travel. Stayed in a one bedroom suite in August, 2016. Typical Embassy Suite with a Spanish flare. Very close to LAX airport with a courtesy shuttle. The manager's reception food was lacking (cheese whiz, chips, salsa, raw veggies). Due to the close proximity to LAX, you do get airplane noise. The fold out sofa was comfortable. The in-house restaurant was VERY pricey, $17 for a salad and $4 for an iced tea. Eat elsewhere.

All the staffs are wonderful and polite, breakfast having omelet station which is great, after noon snacks are too basic on weekends. Pool area having so many people there and water is flowing on the bathroom, just the least maintained pool area I experienced at this summer trip of visiting 6 hotels. Hectic check in, went to South in error before finding the E.S. north. Booked two rooms for a family, refused the smoky smelling room despite the desk insisting it was "non-smoking" which is irrelevant when a space smells like the smoker's lounge, then waited in line for a re-assignment while security told us to move the car. You expect that for an upper end hotel the service will be excellent. This hotel is chosen by many people because it is near LAX so the shuttle to the airport is one of the services that is expected. Call the hotel immediately after you get your bags and prepare to wait. Once you get to the hotel the check-in staff is great, they will help you deal with any reasonable request. Not somewhere I would recommend unless you are on tight budget. The airline has a contract with the hotel so we had no choice when the flight was delayed. This has all the hallmarks that make Embassy Suites convenient and comfortable: easy access to airport, great breakfast, evening reception, pool, friendly staff. Just a few things made our visit less-than-perfect: bursts of scalding water at random times in the shower; a thin, wirey sofabed mattress; in-room coffee service provided for just two people when we had booked a room for four; and we were double-charged for parking.
