I'll start by saying I'm a Hilton devotee, so I am loyal to the brand. I was pleased to read that this hotel had been renovated, and in truth, the public areas are beautiful. They've managed to update them while keeping some of the older charm in quiet places, like the elevator boarding halls. The staff was very pleasant and kind, and the room was quiet. The Breakfast area was very well presented and the food was hot and plentiful. Parking was easy and secure. The rooms, however, have yet t... Read more

Best hotel for the price and services that money can buy. When we went last month, we got in very early and although it was too early to check in, the manager gave us free breakfast (Came in from out of state). Then the room was again perfect. This night there was way too many people in the pool as they had multiple kid events in the area going on, but overall, the stay was another awesome stay for the kids.

I have never stayed at this property before this trip so i don't know what it was like before. I do know it was recently remodeled and they did a excellent job. I have stayed at many remodeled and even brand new embassy suites were they got it wrong and it painfully obvious to the traveler. The hotel is clean and the staff is great. The breakfast line flows well and the reception is also on par.

My family and I stayed here for three nights for trip to los angeles area. We elected to stay here because we wanted something in between buena park and universal city. The remodeled part of hotel is beautiful but rooms are outdated and appear dirty. After we bathed our son he stood on the bed and left a dirty foot print from the carpet. We found a random bug/spider in the room. The complimentary breakfest is nice. Food was ok. We ordered room service one night and was pretty good. The drive to... Read more

I've stayed in this hotel with my family. As other Embassy hotels, the breakfast was full buffet with several options, but crowded. The hotel has 8 floors. We were in the 4th floor and we didn't heard noises. The room was good and spacious, but as others said, the bathroom is small. The evening reception is really good and crowded too, but beware, the bartender lady was rude making comments related to tips. If you're looking for a hotel room in Downey, the Embassy Suites is your only option. Luckily, it's a good hotel. The lobby and restaurant was recently renovated, and the rooms are held to corporate standards. Parking is a little tough, but the hotel is walking distance to basically everything.

The guest rooms that are near the elevators have severe noise that come from the elevator motors. The hotel staff said they were aware of the problem and would ask guests not to use the elevators after 10 pm. But they never did. We were moved to a new room, but it had one less bed and a bathroom that had no shower curtain, counter space, or hot water to the sink. Safe to say this hotel is not recommended.

I love the Embassey Suites and stay at the Downey location at least once a year. However I want to mention that the blow dryer in my room didn't work and I needed it since I was going to work that morning. The breakfast is always great however I tired to get a vegetarian omelet and they had run out of spinach and forgot to put mushrooms on my omelet. But I am staying there again in two weeks and will see how it goes.

We just stayed 1 night as a pit stop on a long trip. We were nervous about the area but it is completely safe and we were very pleased. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. 2 complaints. ..1, the evening snack was minimal and disappointing, 2. The nose from the beautiful atrium is loud. Other than that we loved this unusual hotel and would stay again.

This hotel has recently been remodeled with many modern features that made it a great place for gathering. We only spent one night at this location. We chose it because of its proximity to Knotts Berry Farm - a 15 minutes drive. The bathrooms are a little on the small side which gives you more room in the living area. Nice modern hotel. Stayed at the embassy suites for two nights on business. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise - omelettes plus a hot and cold buffet. They also offered uber rides for distances less than 5 miles, which was a bonus in the morning when I needed to get someplace on time. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Not a lot of options in Downey, but this hotel will far exceed your expectations. It is also in a great location close to restaurants. The only pet peeve is that they don't have too many parking spaces in front of the hotel so you would have to park in the back lot where lighting isn't too bright.

Place is a little dated and need of face-lift. Great front desk staff. Very helpful and easy check-in, check-out. Great restaurant recommendation when I asked for off-sight recommendation. Room was very clean and kept clean all week. Breakfast was always good as was the manager's reception. Ordered room service and found it to be quick and good.

Apparently recently renovated, large business oriented hotel, not much of a spirit though. Rooms are ok, a little bit old fashioned yet net and clean. Gym is ok, swimming pool is nice. Wifi is really slow and painful, but the worst for me is their restaurant. I arrived late and didn't want to go out, so I went for it. Called a grill, trying to replicate sports bars, loud music but no ambiance, and the worst burger I ever ate! A shame... Definitely a place to avoid

We arrived after a long flight and were ready for some sleep, but there was a lovely bar/restaurant area, which also had a Happy 2 Hr session most evenings. The food was good, and the rooms very spacious with every amenity you could think of. Breakfast was served in the large Atrium, with Omelettes cooked to order by the Chefs, and also other hot breakfast items (Sausages, Bacon) etc, along with Toast, Juice and Cereal and fruit. A lot of hotels will charge extra for breakfast, but this is inc... Read more

I chose to stay at an Embassy Suites because I like the made-to-order breakfast. Also, they usually have good service and are on-point. I used points to stay here and was expecting a stellar stay. Far from it. Staff seem to very casual. The thing that stood out was this. My wife takes insulin and keeps the kit in the fridge in the room. When we checked out, we packed the car and took off. A few hours later after checking into ANOTHER hotel, we realized we left the kit. So, we called the h... Read more

We have stayed here multiple times and that won't change. It's always a good experience here, especially with the staff. Always so pleasant and welcoming. My only issue with the hotel is the pillows but that's a personal preference so I bring my own whereas my family is completely fine with it. It has an indoor pool/spa that we love, a restaurant inside, tv room, meeting rooms, etc. An overall great stay every time. Our most recent stay was with our entire football team and their families - not ... Read more

For a combination birthday celebration (mine) and a chance to see old friends and do some business in an area which is accessible by the hotel shuttle and enjoy great food plus a quiet setting. The morning free breakfast makes going downstairs in casual clothes a benefit plus a happy hour prior to dinner a real boon for having to remain inside. The hotel has an excellent business center as well for quick internet connections. All of these "perks" make going to an urban area very worthwhile. ... Read more

We stayed 2 nights here for a family vacation. The pull out couch was perfect for the kids and we could close the bedroom door and let them sleep while we watched TV. The property had feel of a Hilton, but with suites, which is very nice. It was a standard Embassy Suites room floorplan and everything was updated and comfortable...except the lamp outlets. It's nice that hotels have lamps with outlets built in for things like phone chargers, but I have found very few where the outlet wasn't so loo... Read more

Stayed here due to the proximity to my church event. We were in a bit of rush so we did forget little things like toothbrushes and what not and I have to say Christopher at the front desk was just amazing !! My family loved that he made sure we got whatever we needed and I get bad because we did bug him a few times and he was just happy to help . I just wanted to say Thank you Chris ! And a thank you to Brian for accommodating us to a bigger suite, very much appreciated ???

This was the first time I had stayed at the Embassy Suites in Downey, CA. I have stayed in other Hilton owned hotels before and I can say that the Embassy Suites doesn't disappoint! Great accommodations, great service, and great food made the stay pleasurable. Many onsite amenities. I will definitely be staying here again.

I'm partial to Embassy suites line of hotel because of the complimentary evening reception and warm breakfast, with indoor pool and well-equipped gym. This hotel lived up to my expectations; had quiet night sleep in an 8th floor suite, clean and nice smelling, bed was comfy, and room temperature control was very responsive to my setting. Customer services, at the receptionist desk and dining, were awesome. Like what old Arnold would say, "I'll be back!"

Stayed there for two weeks, would definitely stay there again. Friendly staff and great accommodations. the set up of the hotel was different in that all rooms had a balcony and the front door opened to the atrium. Lot's of seating in and around the main lobby made for great places to have little meetings. The breakfast provided was unlike any I have experienced.

With the complimentary breakfast and the evening reception, you definitely get your money's worth. Add to that the fact that you get a fridge, microwave, sink, and pullout sofa bed in your room, you can't get a better value. The atrium they had was better but one can't be too picky

They also were concerned & asked if we needed anything like children's, Tylenol, crackers, anything? I was very appreciative & deeply touched.

This is the only descent hotel in the city of Downey. They have spent money on upgrading the lobby and dinning areas, but the actual suites need a lot of work. The carpets need to be replaced (we've been staying at this hotel every Thanksgiving for the past 6 years) and the rooms need upgrades especially the bathrooms. In our suite there was a 1-2 inch gap between the bathtub and the floor. For the price of our stay, I would think the suites would be nicer. Otherwise the location is perfect - c... Read more
