Another perfect stay with my Hilton Del Mar family! Jennifer (Ms. Del Mar) knows EVERYTHING about the area. A special thank you to Jennifer for arranging 3 great meals during my stay, suggesting a scenic road trip and most importantly, helping me find a doctor when my son was ill. And thank you Phil (general manager)...you run a top notch hotel! You have that special ability to make your guests feel important and valued. See you in September!

the hotel is a smaller scale Hilton. Our room was very nice and very large, except for the shower didnt match up at all. it was a very basic motel shower. The hotels location, the lobby, etc are all nice, and up to date , the lounge is very very basic , almost too basic and pathetic to call it a lounge. Hotel tries to upsell on everything which is disappointing . its a nice hotel and the room that we had was nice and large, but as i diamond memeber id stay at a different hilton where they ac... The Hilton Del Mar is my "go-to" hotel during the summer months simply because of it's convenient location to the fairgrounds/race track, shopping, cafe's and beach. It is an understatedly simple hotel that is perfect for a weekend getaway, whether that be a "girls" weekend, family mini vacation or a couples outing. The hotel is clean and the rooms quite comfy. I enjoyed my stay but I wish the location was on the beach. There are only a few floors so a view is out of the question. Depending on the time of day arrival and departure can be congested with Fair grounds traffic. I was able to get work done in between unloading our new home and it was also very close to the beach and restaurants! I expected more of a luxury experience based on the website and location, but was disappointed in that regard. For a regular hotel, it was fine. Just not luxurious at all. Do not plan to revisit when there are so many amazing properties in the area. Great location, however, if you are attending anything near polo fields.

We had a great stay there! Everyone was so kind and Sean the manager went out of the way to make sure we were happy. The pool was nice, pool service was a good touch. The hotel was clean, great location. We went to the track the next day and it was so easy to get to. The food was good and the happy hour was good. Would definitely stay again.

We thought from the literature that the Hotel was on the beach or very close? Unfortunately, you have to cross a very busy coastal highway to get to the sand, which is down a large set of steps to a rocky beach. Make sure you are back before it gets dark. The gate was locked when we tried to come back, so we had to walk 250 yards down to the campground opening to get back to street.
