First, I was not disappointed. The staff was great. The room was clean. My only complaint was the price. Considering we(baseball team) got a "block" of rooms for multiple days and the location and amenities included, I thought it should be a much lower pricepoint. (I have stayed at nicer hotels in bigger cities for less.)

Stayed at this property two different times, all in all a pretty nice place, the only issue I had was with a staff member by the name of Nancy, she was pretty rude and sarcastic and not very helpful, I purposely avoided having to go to reception if I knew she was working, for this reason probably will not be returning.

I'm going to tell you the good stuff first. They take dogs and it's in Chico. Yeah that's about it. The rooms are dated, tv was dysfuntional, breakfast was sub par, but the town of Chico is an amazing place, so my recommendation is go enjoy the city and return to room to sleep only. I do I have one more thing to add...pet peeve...under the window air conditioner units. UGH! Everytime it went on in the room I think I woke up.

Beyond bad. Outdated. Old. Filthy pool obviously filled with urine as the water was cloudy. Hallways ridiculously hot. Rooms ridiculously hot with outdated window air conditioners. The exercise room is a joke, no air conditioning, smelly and only treadmill and bike no weights. Sheets are rough and old. The ceiling in my room looks like it had water damage. Definitely NOT what I expect from a Ramada property.

My wife and I stay at this hotel every year for our anniversary.... We get the most expensive suite in the hotel every year... In the past, as a Holiday Inn Hotel, we would find a bottle of wine and a nice card waiting for us in our room, showing us how much they appreciate us staying with them. This year, as a Ramada Hotel, nothing in the room, not even a card.... Even though I begged them and reminded them twenty times that it was our yearly anniversary stay with them.... I beg you, I beg you, please fix the Air Conditioner in the workout room. I like your hotel, I like your workout facility, but it is like a sauna. The AC has not worked properly for 3 months. Before someone gets a heat stroke, can you please get the AC fixed properly? The amount you spend on a functional AC will more than be offset by customers choosing your hotel over others that have temperature controlled workout room that is not unhealthily hot.

Other than the Oxford Suites, which was fully booked, this full service Ramada Plaza is the "Best Of The Rest" in value in the Chico area. Only concerns were the wireless internet connection and the $9.95 breakfast buffet. Internet was slow and inconsistent throughout the building and the buffet is included with your room rate at the Oxford Suites at a better room rate and more breakfast choices.
