We had a great time at this hotel! It has beautiful grounds with an amazing pool. We also loved the back entrance to the LegoLand Park. Room was very clean, spacious, and quiet. The front desk staff was very nice and one night at 2am when I needed some Advil for my daughter they opened the store for me. I was very grateful! We would definitely return to this hotel again.

Different from my usual business hotels, as this is a family resort, adjacent to Legoland. Hotel is low rise and looks in exciting from the outside, but the grounds are pleasantly landscaped. It's a bit on a limb, so you need a car to get just about anywhere. Rooms are huge, clean and quiet. Very comfortable- I slept very well, in spite of 8hrs jet lag. Staff seem eager to please.

We stayed in room 1150. We could hear everything going on in the room above us as well as the kids running up and down the halls at 6 am. With Legoland close kids are to be expected though. The bed was very comfy and the room had everything that we needed. The kids everywhere will make it difficult for me to stay here again.

Great location. If you are visiting LEGOLAND, this is it. Stay here; they have a back access, that is a 10 minute stroll through the parking lot. There is hardly a line to wait, if you consider your fellow hotel members a line, maybe 1 or 2 families. Considering what you have to face at the front entrance, a piece of cake. The outlet stores are close by, the hotel can shuttle you, or you can just drive yourself, maybe 5 minutes away. There's a strawberry pick field, you can visit, pick str... Read more

Well appointed rooms in this 'resort' style hotel...clean, comfortable, surprisingly quiet...stayed here two nights on business...would definitely be convenient for a visit with family...lots of attractions nearby. Gym was good...nice options for machines, free weights, and spacious too. Pool area was excellent. Resort charges a per day fee but doesn't allow the use of sauna! The lady there was downright rude and made it clear my type wasn't welcome...may not have been intended but nonethele... Read more

Overall we has a lot of fun at the Sheraton Carlsbad, the place has optimal placement a handful of minutes away from: a) Legoland (by foot) - they have a private entrance to it, this also works for the Water Park and the Acquarium b) The Premium Outlets (by car) c) the Flower Fields (by car) The cons are: 1) Rooms are a but outdated 2) Grounds are quite small, only 1 big pool and not a lot of choices on where to "hang out" 3) the mini-store and cafe' is absolutely depressing. There is no mini... Read more

Very nice hotel, grounds, restaurant, bar, and pool...but not if you want to relax. Filled with running and screaming children...especially annoying if you want to sleep in or go to bed early and you have a room near the pool and spa area.

This is a very nice hotel. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Our part of the hotel was quiet and we had a great night's sleep. We stayed here for our first visit to Legoland and having the separate hotel entrance to Legoland was terrific. We parked our car near the path to the gate and were able to come back during the day and drop our wet clothing, grab sweatshirts and eat a meal out of our cooler. If you have a car, the h... We had a wonderful experience as a large family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 4 kids). This is where you want to stay if you are visiting the area with kids. It is 1000% more relaxing than the LegoLand Hotel, but still enjoyable for the kids. The hotel rooms were spacious, they have a great pool and spa and the restaurant in the hotel is really good. We had the most fabulous service in the restaurant from Ross, who was so attentive and patient with our high maintenance crowd. We will definitely re... Read more

This is a very nice property on a hill in Carlsbad with a private entrance to Legoland and views of the ocean a few miles away. Parking and resort fees apply daily so make sure you include that in your budget.

Couldn't recommend this place more! It's centrally located in Southern California with easy access to I ‚?? 5 to head north to Disneyland and LA or south to Sea World, the Zoo & San Diego. This property is clean with big rooms and a great workout facility. An easy walk to Legoland and a short drive to the Carlsbad outlet mall. It's worth your time & money!

My husband and I stayed over for 1 night. We stayed on the 1st floor near the back entrance. The room is big; bed is okay, sheets were rough and the air vent could use a replacement filter. YUCK!!!! I wanted to order In room service for lunch and noticed there wasn't a lunch menu so I called guest services. I spoke with Allison and told me she'll have housekeeping bring me a menu. Mind you, when I told her the menu was missing, her reply was, "Hmm. I'm sorry. There shakil be one there." Helllooo... Read more

Kudos to the Sheraton and their staff. They were welcoming from the time we arrived. Our room was great. The pool and hot tub are great (and open 24 hours!). I know some people complained about the parking, but even the overflow lot isn't that far too walk. We really enjoyed it here. I hope we can stay again sometime.

I did my share of travelling as a part of my job for some years, and I understand that hotel staffs, like any other industry, make mistakes. However, SPG always made it right overall, and that‚??s been the reason I had been a fan of SPG properties till now. However, my experience at this resort made me question my loyalty? to SPG properties going forward. It was a busy weekend at the hotel. My family arrived at the hotel at 10 PM for a 5-night vacation to Carlsbad. When we first walked in... Read more

We just stayed 2 nights with our 3 young kids aged 7,7 (twins) and 5 and we all enjoyed this hotel. The grounds were well maintained and the proximity and private entrance to Legoland were a big plus! We walked from our hotel room right into the park without a line. We were well taken care of from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left. All of the employees were friendly and willing to help. Great Location next to LEGOLAND land. Easy access to I-5. You can walk to the back entrance of LEGOLAND to gain access to the park and miss the long lines. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are well appointed. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel.

We have stayed here before but this is the first time we used the resort amenities and we found the stay to be extremely relaxing. Staff was all very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is unexpectedly enjoyable. The food is excellent and the outdoor seating area is beautiful. Location for this property is what appeals to us the most as it feels secluded but is minutes from the beach, shopping, and great restaurants.

We stayed in the farthest building from the check-in lobby on the second floor. Lobby/Check-In: -- The driveway which leads to the hotel also leads to other businesses -- Construction and fences for an expansion of the property was the first thing we saw turning into the driveway and it felt like theres insufficient signage directing us to the main building where the check-in lobby was located. Have stayed many times at the Sheraton Carlsbad. The hotel is very comfortable, service is consistent. The Fitness Centre is 24 hours (as very fitness centre should be) with good quality equipment. Restaurant and Bar are good, with nice outdoor area. A nice place to stay for business and vacation (next door to Legoland). I will come back again.

DO NOT SPEND EXTRA $$ to book a SO-CALLED deluxe costal view room and here is what you will get. All you going to have is a room facing to a lawn. Nothing you can see from your room. This is a huge difference from what you expected. Beside this, the staffs here are helpfully and friendly. All facilities maintain the level of a Sheraton Hotel. Just be aware when you booking, do not spend extra to get the costal view. It is just simply does not exist.

I had never stayed at a Sheraton Hotel, but a friend suggested we try The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa as they have a private entrance to Legoland and she thought our kids would enjoy this. It was such a nice surprise. Hubby and I are really glad the hotel had a availability and that we stayed there. Our kids didn't like that it is made up of different buildings and that we had to walk "so far" to go to the restaurant; but they are under 8, so I guess any distance is too far. The rooms a... I have to say that it is hard to put into words how fabulous this place is even though that is in fact what I am trying to do! If you are visiting Legoland it is a no brainier! You must stay here! I was on business and have to tell you that one of the best restaurants around is the Twenty/20 Bar & grille! From the moment you drive up and meet the valet to the time you drive away this place is pure bliss! If you have the chance you must visit and at the very least add to your bucket list!

Here with my wife, but this is a very "kid-centric" hotel. It is just outside the gates of LegoLand so be warned. The front desk and restaurant staff were excellent and the breakfasts were well done. Self parking in under the hotel and is $12 per night. Outdoor areas were nice and the pool area was in great shape. Only issue was loud neighbors with kids up an noisy at 6:30, not the hotel's fault.
