From the moment we checked in, everyone was very nice and professional. We were upgraded to a bay view room so it was a nice surprise and really cool seeing the planes land and take off. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Gym well stocked and clean. Business center was open 24 hours a day. We used valet for our rental car and the valets were awesome. ALWAYS remembered my name, very friendly. Special shout out to Richard - he always smiles and had a great attitude. We would definitely stay here... Read more

While they've done a decent job in this clean, contemporary hotel minutes from airport of blocking at least some aircraft noise, we were relegated to room 401 adjacent to the elevator shaft which was deafening. When we asked to move they said we got the very last (ie very worst room). Could have been handled better in a hotel clearly trying to be more upscale.

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights between meetings in San Francisco and Los Angeles. I've stayed here before and it is very convenient to the airport, but this was my first time staying longer than 1 night. The room I was given had a nice view of the Bay and the airport. It was enjoyable to watch the planes coming in for landing, but it wasn't noisy. The bed was comfortable and the room had been recently updated into a more stylish design. I liked the new design, but did find it odd that t... Read more

Recently enjoyed two nights at the Marriott Waterfront, chosen because of its closeness to SFO airport. Access to the hotel by regular free hotel shuttle bus which runs every 10 minutes (to & from the hotel/airport) Our room overlooked the bay and the airport. Only minor downside is that our room was a very long distance from the lifts (elevators). Very little noise from aircraft. The room was very large with all the conveniences expected including fridge (no mini-bar) & tea & coffee making fac... Read more

Very bad customer service and room does not meet booking requirements. Alloted a single King for 4 member accommodation. tv broke down when I entered the room. They gave an extra bed enough only for one person. So one of us had to sleep on the sofa. For 35k points category 7 hotel, very disappointing.

We stayed at the Marriott Hotel for one night before we had a early flight home. The rooms were very clean and updated. As a gold level Marriot reward member the M club was a great place for dinner and breakfast. The shuttle service to the airport was fast and leaves every 8 minutes. The staff were fantastic. I would stay here again.

Room was clean, spacious, great view on 16th floor. However, it lacked a shower cap and supplied only 2 teas, 2 coffees, 2 cups...not enough for a nightcap and early morning coffee for 2 people. The dinner service in the restaurant was slow and they weren't even busy. We couldn't even find someone to give us the check! We did complain as we exited the restaurant. They also need to have a bench or something to sit on at the entrance when people have to wait for their car to be brought via the v... Read more

We had two consecutive 2 day reservations at the hotel due to scheduling problems with home renovation. Two nights, we had a bay side room and two nights we overlooked the Old Bayshore Highway. The rooms were the same, but no comparison. We had access to the M Lounge. Breakfast included excellent fruits and pastries. Mediocre pre-made items.

An airport with a supposedly high end prime steakhouse. Hotel is your typical airport hotel but being a Marriott it's always better than most. Good sleep quality and nice sized rooms with nice bedding. Dinner at their steakhouse very disappointing as steaks were small and only average quality and very overpriced. That being said--it's an airport hotel so maybe my expectations were too high. Our server was very good. Overall--a typical marriott which is usually a good thing.

Stayed here for a few days for meetings. It has a shuttle to/from the airport which runs every 15 mins. Breakfast has lots of options and the bar is a very fun place with great drinks and food options. One major downside was that I had very poor cellphone reception in my room, which faced into the bar/lobby area.

A beautiful hotel by the water. It is a large hotel and you can sit in the lobby or take a walk outside near the water. The room was great: it was large, clean, comfortable, convenient and quiet. The bathroom was also large and clean. We had a great view of the water and the airport so we could see planes landing and that was a great experience and we didn‚??t hear any noise. I found my room very depressing. Very dark wood decor. It was large however, with a nice seating area. Bathroom was typical Marriott. Superior service with excellent food. Great location if you are flying out or in with beautiful rooms. It has a terrific view of the bay but also be advised you are close the airport- so those who do not want to hear airplanes landing may want to be a little farther away. Thank you Marriott SFO airport location! You saved what was otherwise a horrible business trip for me. I had been in a shabby hotel the night before on Market Street. When I walked in to the Marriott after a long day sitting in meetings and battling that other hotel over trying to charge me for another night, your wonderful desk clerk asked "How was your day?" The Marriott Waterfront is only about 10 minutes from the airport and as the title says is right on the waterfront. It's convenient for the airport and after a long haul from London is a great way to rest before starting you holiday. As you would expect from a Marriott the rooms and beds are good. It has a large sports bar and walks along the waterfront. Will definitely use again.

I barely stay at Marriott Hotels so I decided to stay at this property because it was near the airport and I was departing the next day really early. I was very pleased with my junior suite. Large room, great bed, big bathroom and if you get the rooms with the ocean views you get the treat of watching all the planes landing. There is no noise in the rooms from the planes. The continuous shuttle service to SFO is a big plus. The room shows a bit of wear, but efforts are being made to get things updated. Definitely "plugged in" throughout, with many tech conveniences. Room service was tasty and efficient. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that the hotel is actually very quiet. A bit of noise from aircraft, but less than you would expect. I also don't recall any noise from neighboring rooms. A solid stay for air travel in the Bay Area.

Mornings are phenomenal - you can get a Starbucks coffee (in the lobby) and watch sunrise and plane lands at the airport. The only weird thing with many Marriott hotels is the bathroom doors do not lock. A translucent glass sliding door has replaced the traditional ones. So if you are with friends or teenage kids that need some privacy it will get awkward. I still wonder how the bathroom u... Read more

If you're looking to stay close to the airport, but want access to downtown San Francisco, this is a great place to crash. We took the hotel shuttle to the airport and jumped on BART from there. Rooms look recently updated, and the bar was well-stocked and well-attended by staff. Only complaint was the weird sliding glass door on the bathroom...really killed the sense of privacy. I hope this is only a thing in the single king rooms, because it would be super awkward in shared rooms, especially... Read more

as far as airport hotels go this is one of the best. For the Aeroplane lovers there is a great outdoor area to watch plane taxi (and floor to cieling enclosed area if it gets too cold). concierge and customer service is great. Free shuttle to local towns to kill time between flights. even the most basic room is large, Clean and has a touch of quality. Highly recommended for all.

OK lets get one thing out of the way.... the glass barnyard door to the bathroom was a dumb idea... you cannot lock it for privacy and its rollers are noisy when using the bathroom in the middle of the night. But otherwise this is a great hotel if you are visiting the area, at a relatively bargain price. We only spent one night there.... the rest of our trip was spent at the Marriott Marquis downtown at more than twice the price. The airport property was far nicer and if I was going to visit... Clean, updated room. The service and staff are wonderful. Very friendly. Not too noisy. hotel stay was ok. The bathroom door is sliding glass so no lock or latch, guess that's not usually an issue but if you have guests in the room it is not as private as you might prefer. I was attanding a function at the hotel and the hours of the event were changed by the hotel shortly before. I had airline tickets and could not change them so ended up wasting a day, it would have been nice if the hotel offered complimentary wifi or similar

I fly periodically to the Bay Area through SFO. Always stay at this hotel the night before to catch an early morning flight out. In addition have stayed here for large conferences. The location is perfect, being close to the airport, and surprisingly quiet given it's proximity to the airport. There is a walking path along the bay where one can enjoy views of the bay and the airplanes taking off and landing. Returning rental cars is a piece of cake! The valet gave me a little tip and advised me to just go straight on the road and not take the 101 exit. I was a little hesitant at first because the road sign is for Long Term Parking. Keep going! This is our go-to hotel when taking an early morning flight out of SFO. The rooms are comfortable and the views overlooking the water and runway are wonderful. We especially like the attention Marriott (all hotels in the chain) gives to providing allergen free rooms. The bar (Flights 101) has reliably good food and is moderately priced. The airport shuttle is convenient and runs frequently - down side is that it only goes to the terminals, not to the car rental stop.

For being so close to the airport you do not hear the planes taking off or landing, which was great. The bar was full of all different kinds of seating with a gorgeous view and lots of people enjoying themselves. One of the nicest airport hotels I have ever experienced. Would highly recommend this hotel. Everything seemed brand new and well thought out.

The Marriott Rewards Club is the way to go! Great room upgrade and access to the Club Lounge, which features excellent appetizers in late afternoon/early evening, and a complimentary breakfast. A free shuttle to SFO airport makes everything very convenient; the shuttle runs about every 10 minutes during busy times and begins as early as 4 am for those with an uncivilized departure time. An outdoor lounge provides relaxing views of takeoffs and landings at the aiport.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean and included a Fridge. It was also close the elevator. Very convenient when the bellman didn't show up.. You can eat in the restaurant or outside of it on the terrace. Both the food and service were very good.

This hotel is so close to SFO, and once you're on the shuttle, it's not long before you're there. If you manage to get an ocean view room, watching the planes take off is a real treat. Be sure to ask for a room near the elevator, though, or you could find yourself walking a very long way, also, because there is carpet in the hallways, your luggage may not roll as well as you'd like it to. Love the area around the hotel, weather permitting, there is a great walking path along the bay, along wit... Read more

We stayed here on the last night of our trip for an early morning flight.... it is a really modern, sleek hotel that has a great bar/restaurant, great rooms, reasonable price and very close proximity to the airport. The shuttle worked out great - ran every 10 minutes or so.... but be aware that it also stops at one other hotel before getting to the airport. But this worked out fine. I wold not hesitate to stay here again!

I am a lifetime plat elite and after staying for 6 nights in Westins, I was very glad to be back in a Marriott. The staff at this hotel was great. The view from our room was beautiful. Even if you don't get a room with a view, the view from the lobby and bar are worth sitting for a drink. The airport shuttle leaves every 10 minutes or so. The M Club has a great selection. We ordered room service and it was delivered to our room in 'less than half an hour. Food was cooked perfectly. Great... Read more

Rooms modern and clean with updated furniture and great water views if you can beg for a room with views. Concierge lounge staff always helpful and shuttle service variable. While having good check in experiences a few months ago most recent two experiences seem almost discriminatory. As a Platinum member I asked tonight about the concierge level noting that I was placed in a room across from the staff workroom on al lower floor which is quite noisy. (if no other rooms available I would unde... Read more

One year ago I stayed here, and glad to see it's still great. Clean and the staff are efficient. The Starbucks inside the hotel is convenient. Will try this hotel first whenever I'm here for business.

Although the room was clean and the shower modern, I was disappointed. I was placed in a room overlooking industrial buildings with tons of cars and road noise. It was very disheartening considering that I just spent 5 incredible days at the Marriott Napa hotel, I am Lifetime Platinum Elite and I am Chairman‚??s Level with the Marriott Timeshares owned in the US and in Spain. Our check-in with Ryan was pleasant and the M Club is spacious and has a wide variety of food and beverages for its m... Read more

Great hotel if you want an airport location, just minutes away from the San Francisco airport. Walk out the back and you can watch airplanes taking off and landing, you can get a drink from the bar and enjoy. We were upgraded for free to the club access which was very nice for snacks and breakfast. The room was very nice and totally quiet. I did use Marriott points to pay, when we went it was expensive. Parking is $25 but very convenient. The only negative for us was that we arrived around... Read more

This was a great hotel for us to stay and park for our last vacation. The cost was very reasonable. We stayed at the front end and back end of our trip. The rooms were large and very nice. The room at the end of the trip was by the elevator and it sounded like a drill going off when ever anyone used it. The hotel changed our room with no problem. They said it was an up grade which I am still a bit confused about. The other room had a robe but this one did not. We went from the 10th floor... Read more

I've done a few business-related stays at this hotel. Normally, I'd write the great things and then point out the disconnects. But here I'll post the shortcomings: - Parking fees are steep, even for local people visiting - Room rates are high (aren't all of them near SFO?) - WiFi is mediocre, and also steep (again, true of most hotels) - Regular airport arrival/departure noise (eventually blends into the background) The list of good attributes is really long, so I'll be concise. Updated room... Read more

I really like this hotel. We were upgraded because of my Platinum status and could watch the planes land andtakeoff from the room. The food in the M club was some of the best I have ever had in a club lounge. Unfortunately access to the M club was not really limited to those who paid for the privilege The only downside to the hotel is the utter lack ofstorage space in the room. Two small drawers. Not even a shelf above the hanging rod. Ok if you are overnighting before a flight but awful if, l... Read more

This older hotel has been nicely upgraded and still feels posh. The airport shuttle runs on time and the staff are more than cordial. (Try a glass of champagne at check-in.) The "club" lobby lounge offers lots of free food and very good snacks. (Alcohol is also offered, but at rather steep prices.) The rooms are smallish but very clean and well-maintained. Most have either city or bay views.

Very nice room and clean. Hotel lobby area has a nice feel to it. Staff is superb. Nice gym for a hotel. Plenty of great places to eat close by. Hotel lounge has food too. Definitely worth the stay. Right on the water is an added bonus. Close to the airport so you can't beat that convenience.

I've stayed at this property many times before. It is always very busy, and is in close proximity to the airport. They have a 24 hour shuttle running to the airport which is great. Food and bar standard Marriott - good quality, professional service, and priced accordingly. The staff is great, rooms are clean, and it's one of the most convenient places to stay if you have an early morning flight.

As a rewards member, I checked in on line the night before I was to arrive. The next day my transportation to San Francisco fell through. I called the hotel directly to tell them I would not be arriving that night. I told them that I had already checked in on line. I was assured several times that everything had been taken care of, not to worry, no charge. When I arrived at the Marriott, the desk clerk told me that my reservation had been canceled, and there was no reservation. I had the ne... Read more

This place is excellent, but expensive. The lobby bar and outdoor seating have great views of final approach for SFO. I would definitely recommend for aviation lovers. Did not eat at the restaurant. Beers at the lobby bar are very expensive.

Check in very efficient. Loved what they have done now the hotel has been renovated. Grey tones make you feel good. The rooms are small, but comfortable. I happened to leave a shopping bag in my room. One call to the hotel and the person who answered was able to let me know that they had found the bag and would be happy to send it to my home UPs ground, complementary. How nice was that. If you are in the SFO area, definitely recommend the Airport Marriott.

This is a wonderful hotel--a super wonderful airport hotel. It is close to SFO, yet has gorgeous bay views. The hotel has a large lobby with bar that is attractive and energized. The hotel restaurant, Hanger Steak, was wonderful--great food and service. Staff were very friendly and helpful, check in was efficient. Reliable shuttle service free to SFO. Highly recommended!

My family had the opportunity to stay and extra 2 nights in the bay area. The hotel is very nice and the hotel staff is very accommodating. We had the opportunity to meet the manager on duty, her name was Susan and she was wonderful. Her willingness to go out of her way was a wonderful Marriott experience. You cannot go wrong with this hotel.

Very clean and nice hotel. Modern and newly renovated. Rooms are very nice and the MLounge is a nice addition. The views of the bay with the planes landing is very pretty. Great walking/jogging trail right behind the hotel. Huge lobby and bar area. Courteous staff. Parking is pricey, but its a big city. Not to far from downtown San Francisco
