The staff at the hotel was very cordial and we had a decent stay in the hotel. Stayed overnight and accommodation has all that one needs. However there are no restaurants or hotels for vegan/vegetarian lovers. There is a free drop to airport available and much appreciated and the coffee at the reception is a very good treat for cofee lovers. Good going team suggest you also try to offer complementary drop services to close by malls/ hotels as there is no life in this place

We stayed here the night before flying out of San Francisco airport to the east coast. The motel has an agreement with a car parking company where you can pay for and keep your car on the motel parking lot while away, then get just get to the lot and into your car, and then drive home on return. The property outside the structure itself seemed a bit neglected. Won't go into details. The hotel shuttle provides twice-an-hour trips to the airport from hotel and return. Don't trust the advertised star rating on this hotel, it's dingy, old, and in need of a facelift. If this is a cheap option for one night only - and you just need a place to sleep while traveling, then go for it - otherwise, look elsewhere and choose something else. This hotel was selected due to it's proximity to the San Mateo Events Center where our team would be working for 4 nights. None of our team members have ever stayed at a Red Roof Inn before, and I was skeptical of it's high star r... Read more

This may not be a five star hotel but the friendly staff like Anita and the general manager Kristopher who went beyond their dutie to make our second stay very comfortable and worry-free, makes this place a five star for us. We just got back from our trip out of the country and the stress of the 12 hour plane trip plus another 2 1/2 hours checking out of immigration and custom stressed our diabetic dog so much that... This hotel for someone that's just staying for one day is great. It has a restaurant rite next store so you can eat something and they have airport transportation which is very helpful. I will say that it was kind of dirty and dusty but if your only staying for a night or so well worth it.

I stayed at this hotel in the past and had pleasant enough memories of the experience that I wanted to stay here again. I will not be repeating that mistake. Perhaps if you visited for a single night it would have been okay--and a lot of airline employees do appear to make this hotel a brief stopover. I, however, stayed for 7 nights, and was not impressed. First off, my room was cleaned 3 times in 7 days--and was only cleaned the second and third times after I specifically requested it. A guy at the Front Desk "ANTHONY" made our stay very pleasurable & he was very helpful & funny, not to mention he was a lil charmer and a handsome so it made it a lil easier checking in. Overall we had a good time here. HINT: for future guest, there is a bar area in the restaurant yess. #Cheers

We only used the Red Roof Inn for parking our car while on vacation. Fairly inexpensive for parking but after we came back and were waiting to be taken to our car, the shuttle took forever to pick us up! There were multiple buses from different locations, I think a Marriot and Hilton bus came by 4-5 times before our bus came by once. Room was fine, outside was grungy. Restaurant is 24/7, convenient, some decent food. Room price was very good, convenient, nice walk around the bay on a path to my meeting location (at the Hyatt, 3x as expensive). Main problem was noise on first night - near elevator, loud kids running up/down hall at 11:30, loud AC system. Also wifi was sometimes weak/slow, difficult to do work at times. If you don't mind some noise, this is a good deal for the location.

Whenever I'm in town this place is my "GO TO"!!.. Easy freeway access, a diner that's open 24/7 and a staff that absolutely cares about their guest's. Thank you Victor, Malia, Anita, Kris M and last but not least Big Chuck. Oh and the black Limo Style buses are super dope!

10 minute free shuttle to and from SFO. Free WiFi a little sketchy ... now using my hotspot for connectivity. 24 hour restaurant on the premises. Ironing board and iron in each room. Low price commensurate with hotel class.

I've been staying at Red Roof 7 years and seen there's a recent major change. Unfortunately, this change is very bad regarding to the service. Room is noisy, and house keeper does not keep up with your request ( I have requested towers and It took 3 hours to get them). There's no service at the receptionist at all. This is a major issue. The receptionists are just ignore the request. They are so bad !!!! So sad that I have to leave this hotel and choose a different hotel for our destination n... Read more

It's a comfortable hotel with good large and clean rooms. Free WiFi service is available, but the service fails, from 7:30 to 9:00 AM and after 8:00 PM (maybe the bandwidth is not enough for all guests). There is a nice restaurant in the hotel where we used to get breakfast (sometimes dinner too), once the breakfast the hotel offers is poor.

It's not a comfortable hotel, not clean rooms. Free WiFi service is available but bad connection. The receptionist ( a lady) in the morning shift is not friendly. Overall, the service is not good. I won't choose this red roof next trip.

Pretty much like all of the other RR'S that we have stayed in, reasonable price, near airport, etc. Room was clean, bed on and a 24 hour "diner" attached. The only problem, and it was major was the transportation to the airport! It was 30 min late and the driver was an idiot. We did notice the after we brought it to the attention of the manager he did address the driver vehemently. Thanks

I did not use the Airport Shuttle but there is a Shuttle to and from the Airport. Another nice convenience was a 24 hour Café on the Property. It was reasonably priced. Parking can be tight. Check-in and Check-out a breeze if not busy. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. They are also pet friendly. For the area the price was right.

This Red Roof property was recently renovated, so the rooms are better than most. We paid extra for a Bay View but the view was minimal -- brought to mind the 60s movie, 2rmsriview. We then switched to a supreme room -- goodies every night for us in the fridge. Only drawback was other guests smoking outside near our room -- perhaps a designated area for them outside of which they would be asked to cease and desist? Prices were a bit high for a redroof, but the airport courtesy bus hel... Read more

If you have to stay by the airport, pretty inexpensive hotel. Double bed rooms a little smaller but a good deal and a quick hotel shuttle runs about every 20 minutes. Very clean and has a 24 hour restaurant.

Honestly I have very little good to say about this place. The staff was friendly and the room we were in appeared to be recently renovated. There were stains on the sheets. They put us (married couple) in a room with two twin beds. The elevators/hallways are sketchy. The roof was leaking and dripping. But most importantly the entire hotel, parking lot, balconies etc smelt very strongly of marijuana. This is supposed to be a 100% no smoking hotel. And when I brought this issue up no one seemed ... I don't understand all the negativity. We rented two rooms for a family trip to San Francisco and were completely happy. Both rooms were identically furnished, quite modern, and appear to have been recently renovated. Clean, comfortable, no bugs, and with clean sheets and towels. Our beds were full sized, which is slightly smaller than queen size beds but fine for us, since we are not particularly tall or big. Good water pressure, lots of hot water, and drains that worked properly. Absolu... Read more

Having arrived exhausted, we got a good night's sleep in a large room at a good price. The diner next door did an excellent BLT. The surroundings were not luxuries but at least there was a regular shuttle service to the airport free of charge.

The hotel has been remodeled and offers a shuttle to and from the airport. I was impressed with how incredibly quiet it was, no airplane noise at all. However the most important was the service we got. The front desk did everything to accommodate our needs. We needed assistance with the local transportation, attractions, etc. Victor and Malia were extremely helpful. The next day, my husband was in town in business, so we moved to his hotel. Upon arriving there, my daughter realized that she had ... Read more

Again, we had the pleasure of staying in this Red Roof Inn Plus before our long trip overseas with our fur baby. The place is very clean. The staff like Anita Victor, Chris Hill and Mireya Alva made sure that we had a great time even for an overnight stay. We've never seen such a hardworking manager like Kristopher Mangonon who manages this place. He goes around the hotel to make sure the guests are comfortable and the place is maintained to a higher standard. There is a walk and bike trail alon... Read more

I am new to this review thing but I thought I should start because my friends do this everywhere they travel. I stayed at The redroof inn on Sunday night. When I was looking for somewhere to stay near the SFO airport, Redroof definitely was not on my list due to their previous reviews in the past! I must say, from when I entered to check in, that list went out the door when I met a young lady named Mailia. Her service instantly made me feel at home. After a long day of work, I did not want to de... Read more

I stay here on a regular basis for my work and I like it as a home away from home. Ruben Lopez is one of the most professional receptionists I have ever met. He always makes sure I get the location of room that I want. When I go to LeAnnes the 24 hour cafe attached to the hotel the food is great and again the service from everyone is exceptional. The rooms at Red Roof are always clean and the maids seem to take pride in making sure that everything is in order. I also really like that there... Read more

We are very familiar with all the hotels around SFO. We stayed here one night before catching a flight out. Very disappointing. While the rooms were slightly passable, getting to you room was rather frightening. The hallways had graffiti and the inside of the elevator looked like someone had gone crazy and damaged everything inside. There is no excuse why none of this was repaired. Plus....not!

This hotel has always accommodated me every time I transit thru SFO. One receptionist in particular Ruben Lopez will always go above and beyond in meetIng your needs. His professionalism is truly impressive and he always has a smile while greeting the customers. Location is great since the hotel is attached to a 24hr Diner! Great rooms and amenities for short/long stays. Highly recommend!
