This hotel is in what I consider to be a remote location. This means that there is nothing of substance within walking distance (except other hotels). Unless armed with a vehicle of sorts, hotel dining or the diner in the RRI next door is it. As one would expect, the hotel dining, if eating two - three meals per day, can exceed the daily room rate. Breakfast is excellent and one should not miss the smoked salmon. Stay away from the mozzarella cheese. Dinner, the beef short ribs are the bes... Read more

takes you to. NOT meant to be a comment on the DoubleTree itself, since we did not stay there, which is bc after booking the hotel online and then calling, I discovered that DoubleTree had already been fully booked for several hours. (We were doing same day reservations.) I probably wouldn't bother to comment, except that less than a week ago, I booked another hotel room, also via BOOKING.COM, and had the same issue -- except I didn't think to call ahead, and wound up in the hotel lobby for abou... What I love about this brand is that there are certain things you can request in advance online, such as a late check out, an upgrade, extra pillows and so on. You can also check in online which means it's a very quick stop at the front desk to get your keys. The staff here are all friendly and helpful. Upon check in we got the keys, warm cookies and bottled waters. The room was clean (one note - the lamp near the tv was extremely dusty), the beds and pillows comfortable. The price for the ... We arrived only to sleep at the hotel after a customer meeting and dinner and had a very early flight the next morning. We had done a pre check in with the Hilton apps and that was very useful. The room was excellent, beds were great and slept very well. Two things I would suggest, since it was a very fast trip I forgot my shaver, so I asked for one at the front desk, I would suggest the hotel give out a better disposable shaver, they are not good at all, and since we left very early, it woul... As a HHonors Diamond member, I stay at a lot of Doubletrees. Something must have been off for the this visit. My wife and I flew into SFO from Kona and arrived at the hotel at 10:00PM I had checked in online and the check in process was proceeding as usual until the clerk was interrupted by a "Cookiie Monster" guest who asked for more cookies. This resulted in the clerk flubbing the key programming. After directing us to the wrong set of elevators, we back tracked to the room only to have t... Read more

We had a fantastic stay at this Doubletree the night before we left SF! The room was on the newer wing and was clean, new and very large. It was a Friday night and they had a live jazz band playing, which was so nice and relaxing to listen to in the lobby. The most notable aspect of the experience though, was the service. We were greeted by a very nice front desk associate who immediately thanked us for checking in online through the Hilton app, and offered that we text them if we needed anythin... Read more

This hotel was our first stop after a long travel day. We found the shuttle with no problems. Definitely check with the driver to make sure you are going to the hotel in Burlingame. It is marked on the outside of the shuttle. We were able to uber from hotel to downtown for about $24.00. Ride is about 35-40 minutes depending on traffic.

We usually stay at Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden. This hotel not up to standard. Foyer, Business centre, bar & meals all in one noisy area. Multiple issues with key cards including car park. Upgraded us but next to drink machine so the banging of cans we could have done without. Car parking expensive as is the room rate of course, its San Francisco these days. Overall it's fine for a night or 2 but would recommend Embassy Suites over the road for a better all round set up.

We decided to stay here after flying in from North Carolina before starting out on our roadtrip. The hotel was close to the airport, comfortable, clean and well maintained. TAKE NOTE: There are two airport Doubletree's close together but with different shuttle service. Make sure you get on the right one! We had a nice room and the cookies were good too!

I stayed here because it was relatively close to the Millbrae BART-station to get into town. I used the HHonors app to check-in the day before and I also chose my room that way. At arrival, getting the key was easy. Parking costs $24 per night and there are in and out privileges. I didn't book breakfast as it's just too expensive in my opinion. Depending on the rate you're getting, it's almost anywhere between $26 and $33. The room itself was very nice, but dated. I think the room needs an upg... Read more

We arrived about 7:30 pm after a grueling 10.5 hour drive. Check in was quick and we were pleased to find a spacious, clean room with very comfortable beds. Walked to a nearby diner for dinner and went to bed early. Great beds and pillows and the AC hummed quietly all night to keep the outside noises away. Slept great! A good example of the Doubletree brand, 5 minutes or so from San Francisco airport. I paid slightly more for a bay view room - which didn't disappoint (see linked photo from the room). The reception staff were very friendly and I had a nice bar meal at the bar, which also had some decent beers. The Internet connectivity in my room (510) was extremely poor. The only way I could maintain a steady connection was to sit on the floor by the door of my room. the hotel itself isn't bad but it certainly didn't make a great impression. I was waiting for the shuttle at the airport for around 10 minute before it arrived and the driver literally stopped for 5 second before driving off again! Just enough time for me to grab my stuff and walk a few steps... Seriously? Every other shuttle had the driver step off and check. Also, the cleaning lady walked right into my room without knocking at around 10 pm. Just in time to see me getting changed for a shower.

We stayed here before flying home.. This is an excellent airport hotel. It is very large and they are very, very good at what they do. I give them an A in customer service.. Our needs were attended to quickly and any little issue taken care of immediately. We took the shuttle over to the town for dinner, which was very convenient and right on time for pickup. The shuttle service between the DoubleTree and SFO is timely and frequent. The service at the hotel was excellent from the door person, check-in, concierge and security for parking. We did not use the food service, but the downstairs/lounge looked nicely done and had live music. The rooms are a bit old, but ours was large, clean and served our purposes just fine. We were able to park our own car on-site, and it was nice to come back knowing it was untouched and in a secure lot.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to have a certain level of comfort after three weeks of various standards of accommodation. Everything was as we would expect from this hotel chain. It worked for us because it was reasonably convenient for the airport. It was really dated and there were no decent restaurants nearby, a symptom of airport hotels rather than this hotel. Had a decent burger in the hotel restaurant. Friendly staff. Parking a rip off.

Conveniently located near SFO, inconvenient to any town. The walking/running trail around the bay is right out your door. There is a driving range behind if you care to use it, but with that driving range is an excellent Mexican food restaurant. If you need a quick bite to eat, comfy place to sleep, and a jog, this place will meet your expectations.

It never came. Thanks to a back up alarm clock, we awoke at 6:25. We almost missed the shuttle and risked missing our flight. This is inexcusable! We'd never stay here again.

Before checking into the DoubleTree in Burlingame, I had spend 5 days at a hotel in San Francisco. Both hotels were the same price per night; however, the difference was night and day. Everything was great! Just remember to hold on to your room key to get out of the parking lot. There is a key drop box there as well but you need your key to open the gate. Wasn't a huge deal just wish we would have known.
