"The staff at Knotts Berry Farm Resort Hotel could use a basic course in courtesy and in how to treat a tired handicapped guest. First, she refused to look at my confirmation printout, and demanded that I provide the credit card i booked it with or she could not check me in. I responded that I paid it through a third party and that there was no credit card involved. This confused her so she inquired with her manager. When she returned she told me that it was paid for (Really? because if she had just taken a moment to check the confirmation she would have discovered that.) and that she could accept any card for incidentals. So that done, when she handed me the keys, I asked what was the shortest route to my room, that I was very tired from the trip. She proceeded to tell me that I had to go out the front door, take my car to the back of the hotel, find the back door, go down the hallway to the elevators, etc. I repeated my request, told her that I had my husband with me, that he would take care of the luggage - that I needed to know the closest route for ME to get to my room. She repeated the original instructions. I asked again, was there a way that I could access my room from the lobby. Again, I got the same instructions. I told her that I was confused as to why i could not access my room from the lobby area. she started laughing at me as though I was the idiot. Finally I gave up. I went out the door, we drove the car to the back of the hotel. Parking was horrible. I had to walk past the pool and the tennis courts to get to the back door. I had to rest several times to make it to my room. So imagine my surprise when I looked out the window to see that my room was directly above the lobby. So the next day, when I exited the elevators, I turned left instead of right. Just a few steps took me to a set of double doors that took me directly to the curb where my husband could pick me up. Right in front of the lobby. Now, the big question is - why couldn't your employee tell me that the elevator to my room was just a few steps to the left of the lobby and save me the agony of walking through a parking lot, past the pool and tennis courts, etc.? When II discovered what she had done to me - I wanted to go right back into the lobby and speak to her manager about her disrespect and lack of concern about my situation. Instead, I simply will not return to this hotel again. My next visit to Knotts Berry Farm, I'm spending my dollars at a hotel that treats it's customers with respect and dignity."
