I would love to be able to give this hotel a good review because there's a lot to like about it (free cookies after 4pm, free soft drinks, a comfortable lounge area, good breakfast bar, & friendly professional staff), but I stayed here 2 nights, once going to the Bay area and then coming back and I didn't sleep well either night. A hotel room has one purpose, to help you sleep and wake refreshed in the morning, and this hotel failed me both times. First, the pillows are flatter than pancakes a... Read more

We've stayed here four times over several years. The staff has always been friendly. The facility is well kept. And most recently, when traveling with our two Pomeranians, we were delighted to discover that they could accommodate us in a King Suite, on the ground floor where we could slip in and out the side door without disturbing other guests.

Clean rooms, quiet, great service, and well maintained. When business takes me to Barstow, this hotel is my choice. Convenient to restaurants and with pretty good wifi, this hotel more than met my needs. Also, it was cute that they left a towel animal on my bed for check in. What can I say, I'm a sucker for little touches.

Barstow has many lodging alternatives but we find Hampton a convenient stop and a cool oasis in this hot spot. Consistently clean, quiet, comfortable beds and a suitable breakfast are good reasons to stop.

This hotel has it all. Reasonable prices, top shelf staff, a room I could stay a month in. Refrigerator, coffee maker, Micro, a desk that was actually comfortable to work at, a large screen TV, nice sofa, and a bed you could get lost in. The high ceilings make the room seem much more spacious then a normal hotel room. We enjoyed our stay, can't you tell?

A great stay. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fresh, hot with lots of healthy item choices. The staff were constantly surveying what items were low and made sure to keep the areas clean. The shower towels were less than desired but were clean and fresh. Our bed and pillows were extra comfy. We usually choose the Hampton Inn over the others because of the waffle bar which my kids love. The fresh sliced fruit was a big hit too.

Used Hampton Inns almost exclusively on a Rt. 66 road trip, and they were generally top notch and reasonably priced. This was the most expensive one and least comfortable. Room A/C had been left off in 100F+ heat and the room never really cooled off during our stay. Manager knew about the problem, but offered no consideration such as a reduced rate for our discomfort. Wouldn't have taken much to keep a regular customer satisfied.

After travelling for over two weeks, this was my last stop and I was blown away with how nice the hotel was for the price. My King room was very large and VERY clean and fresh. A kitchenette in the entryway (fridge, microwave, sink, coffee) opened up to a large sitting room on one end, bed on the other and cheery alcove for the bathroom. The room felt huge and spacious, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed in Barstow one night as a stop over travelling from Vegas to LA. The staff in the hotel were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Comfortable lounge to sit in and good breakfast. This hotel is out of town and poor Barstow is suffering from lack of visitors due to the new Freeway. Seems like a new facility, on the outskirts of town away from the riff raff, and immediately adjacent to the outlet shopping mall, near gas and covenant freeway access. My 5 and 7 year old girls loved the pool and made friends with the other children there. Our chihuahua enjoyed it, too..... with no added pet fee.

We were tired after driving across the dessert, when we arrived at the Barstow Hampton we thought it must be a new motel. It was immaculate and we were offered cookies, lemonade, and tea upon our arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They told us about a new restaurant that had just opened close to the motel, and our dinner was delicious. We travel often, and this hotel was THE BEST we have experienced in quite some time! The rooms were great and the staff very courteous. The breakfast was among the best of any during our extended road trip. usually Hampton Inn delivers a dependable major chain experience.. typically we find better than most and so we gravitate here. This time tho I noticed the breakfast was of low variety and lower quality fruits ( browned bananas, etc ) and the towels in the room were ancient and did not absorb water at all.
