I stopped overnight with my service dog and had a fantastic meal in their restaurant/bar. It was quiet and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive to my needs. I would definitely stay here again and again and again.

I had a very pleasant one-night stay! A comfortable room and an efficient and helpful staff made my stay very enjoyable. The hotel decor was restful and welcoming. I will stay here again when I return to Bakersfield.

Upon check in, I overheard a problem with the room. When I asked if there was a problem they said no, just had a late check out from the previous guest. Once in my room I noticed the door was propped open, the window opened, and fan was on full blast. The room smelled like vomit and cigarette smoke, and the slopes were wet. After getting checked into a new room, the showers only provided cold water. In the morning, the breakfast appeared to be your standard complimentary hotel styrofoam food, bu... Read more

I liked checking in ahead on-line, but map of rooms was confusing. Staff was very good. Be aware the restaurant is not open for dinner on the weekends. Hungry Hunter across the street does deliver and our dinner was very good. However---the phone call to the restaurant very nearby, cost $5.45 for the call from the room's phone. Wish I had thought to use our cell phone. Oh, well,..the room price was right and we will probably stop there again.

We have family in Bakersfield & when we go out there, we always stay at a hotel. We chose this one since it was only three of us going this time. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The location is perfect. Close to fwy & restaurants. Hotel seems to be renovated & is in great shape. The breakfast was pricey @ $13/p but you can also purchase single items @ $1 a piece for those with smaller appetites. The lobby is welcoming with a cozy two sided fireplace & the chairs were perfect for lo... Read more

Clean rooms have a stark somewhat gauche ambiance. Essential room amenities are designed for practicality but feel cold . Negative points for the noisy, very intrusive heating system. Also, there is no continental breakfast.

Good sized, clean room. Bed and breakfast package is outstanding value. Bed is comfortable. Staff are very courteous. It is unfortunate that they don't offer dinner service on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.

My fiancee and I visited Death Valley and Sequoia National Parks and didn't want to do the drive between parks, (7 hours) in one go. We decided to break it up and sleep in Bakersfield. This was a great decision and we're very happy we chose the Hilton Garden Inn. It was a great price and the room was clean, big, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here and would consider staying again. The only thing I would do differently is arrive to Bakersfield earlier to make it in time for... Read more

We often stay at Hilton Garden-Bakersfield because of the staff and cleanliness of property. No matter how busy they are the front desk is always professional, polite and able to assist us. The restaurant staff is equally courteous. The rooms and common areas are always very clean despite the carelessness of other guests (it's a shame that people do not clean up after themselves or dispose of their litter in the proper place). So kudos to the housekeeping staff! We have stayed at other hotels in... Read more

The HGI is located amount other hotels off the main road, easy to find at night. There is a Costco nearby but not much else. The hotel is renovated and clean. There is open closet and long table with TV in the room. Plenty of table space for things. There is coffee maker and mini fridge in the room. The bed was firm and comfortable. The art work was spare. The heater was loud. The wall was thin. We could hear all the noise in the hallway. We stayed at many Hilton properties. This roo... Read more
