Clean rooms are a must for us, we have been using Hampton Inn all along our trip, using the pool and hot tubs. Eating breakfast was full of choices, as a diabetic I need to steer clear of sugary foods and was able to accomplish this with the choice of oatmeal and eggs. Appreciated fresh coffee. All very good to excellent. Staff friendly and always concerned for us.

This was a wonderful mid-point stop on the way to and from Death Valley from Northern California. Five hours on the road at a time was all we were willing to drive, so we were able to break up the trip into two legs in each direction. In the past, I've never considered Bakersfield to be a "destination city" nor have I ever wanted to stop there except to refuel the car. The Hampton Inn & Suites on Hwy 58 has me reconsidering my previous assumptions about the area. This hotel appeared clean and in... Read more

We were extremely happy with our stay here. We were traveling to Las Vegas on business and decided to break the trip up into two parts so we stopped in Bakersfield for the night. The room was spacious, clean and had a very comfortable bed. It was quiet and the breakfast was really good- served in a very pleasant room. We booked online and saved $30 even though we booked the same time. I highly recommend this hotel.

While a little off the beaten path, it suited our needs as we headed east to Death Valley. The motel had a gym, and a pool (that was too cold to swim in). The room was comfortable. The only complaint might be the rather strange bed linens. They were nice, but they slid off the bed during the night. The staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was awesome!

Been here twice and will stay next time too! Would definitely recommend it! A bit more expensive for my budget, but well worth it! Breakfast on weekends is better than most diners! Plenty of spacious parking. Beds are super comfortable, lots of pillows!

We spent a night there. The premises are safe and clean. There's a Denny's next to it and a fast food too. Employees have been very courteous and helping. The hotel and our room was modern with large spaces, very clean and quiet as well. Bed was confortable. Breakfast is complete even if not like in a restaurant. I would recommend this hotel.

The duvet covers were not cleaned properly, and neither was the bathroom. The walls are VERY thin. I could hear an entire conversation as if I were right there in the room with them. I expected a little more in that regard for the price.

We just needed a place to stay for the night. It was just right. Breakfast was great. Staff were nice. Only complaint I have is the hallways were not air conditioned and were hot and stuffy, but they did have our room ready for us with the air already on in the room.

No water pressure in bathroom, location was off trodden path. Noise in hallway all night. Loud noises coming in from outside. The jacuzzi was Luke warm and it was an all around restless night. Not happy with this one.

I travel to Bakersfield to teach approximately four times a year for the last ten years and have tried various hotels in the area. There are some rough areas which I try to avoid but don't always succeed. This Hampton Inn was of the usual Hampton quality with a price which was lower than the Best Western, which is why I decided to try it. I was not disappointed and I would definitely stay here again, even though it is farther away from the venue where I teach.

After a long drive from Tucson with little to stop and see along the way, it was nice to pull into the Hampton inn and sink in to their hot tub. Altough the jets didn't have much propulsion, it was hot, clean and quiet. The pillows and bed were the usual high quality I've come to expect from Hampton Inns. Super comp.imentary breakfast.

Location: It is right off CA SR 58, easy access to and from the city. It is also right across the street from gas stations and fast food restaurants. Con, it is a few blocks from the railroad, however, the train only came by twice during our stay so it wasn't too big of a deal. Staff: Friendly and accommodating. Room: Good size room, beds and bathroom was very clean. Overall a great place to stay in Bakersfield. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice property, needs attention to detail though. We noticed mold spots on the ceiling where there had been leaks, not sure how housekeeping could miss it. There is freeway noise due to its proximity to the freeway, not too terrible. Overall it was a nice place to rest for the night.

We spent one night here on our way to Windsor, CA. Such a nice hotel! Reception staff was wonderful when we arrived and gave us treats to celebrate our anniversary. Nice, large, clean room with a comfy king-size bed. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. My personal favorite was having choc chips to add to my waffle mix! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Nice new hotel, close to some services that can be walked to, but most still must be driven to. Like most places in the US, there's very little that you can walk to, everything must be driven to, so keep that in mind if you're a single driver family.

I booked two rooms at this hotel with points back in Feb. The next morning we found out the breakfast was horrible. There was no sausage, no eggs and no fruit at all. I am a Hilton Diamond member and have stayed at lots of Hilton properties. So I can tell this is not the Hampton Inn standard. I don't want to write a negative review as the hotel itself was more a 3 star than two. The service, however, was incredibly horrible for a Hilton property. I arrived at noon and they said they could get me in for an extra $25 fee (I am a Hilton's silver member). We arrived at around 1 pm and our room was ready, which is always nice when you travel and arrive a little early. We chose this hotel because we were heading to Palm Desert. The room was on the 4th floor. Aircon was of the ancient sort and very noisy. The room was OK although the bathroom smelled a bit funny (mold) even if we didn't find a reason for it. The bathroom in the room was something that needed. The door to the shower had bars for a midget. The shower door should have been replaced long ago, it was stained and dirty. We were looking for a comfortable, easily accessible "pit stop" for the night, and found this ideal. Friendly front office staff at check-in, spacious well-appointed room, and quite a good free breakfast to boot.
