We stood here this past weekend everything from the moment we pulled up, to the front desk, their simple breakfast (waffle, eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and pastry assortments) and the room was AWESOME!! The receptionist at check-in was unfriendly. Made the reservation weeks in advance and asked for the top floor. I was told there weren't any available when I checked in around 4:30pm! The halls are in need of paint. The area they serve breakfast in has cobwebs on the walls and window coverings. Some of the furniture in the room is dilapidated (see photo). And why would they put an 18" x 24" coffee table in front of a 6' couch (see photo)? Wi-Fi is only free if your a Hilton member. And b... Read more

Typical of most Hampton Inn & Suites in which I have personally stayed, this property was excellent. Great location, right off Highway 101, with convenient on/off access. Clean and well-maintained rooms. Very good hot and cold breakfast buffet included. Nice feature is that Hilton now allows you to check-in and choose a specific room in advance.

Very convenient location next to the highway without the noise. Map is confusing at first, so be aware of the exits. You might want to call the desk for directions first. Rooms are nice, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was o.k. We would stay here again because of the location.

Have stayed here many times over the past 7 years while our daughters were at Cal Poly SLO. Up to date furnishings, love that the duvet is always fresh for each guest, no grungy bedspreads used by others. Included breakfast is plentiful and varied. Would love to have shower caps in the rooms, though. Service is always pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Ask for a room over the parking lot to avoid freeway noise. But it is not too loud I have stayed on both sides. Breakfast is your standard hotel breakfast. Nothing to write about. I stick with hard boiled eggs and coffee. I like that they have coffee and tea available all day. Only $10 more for the suite. Was nice to have the extra room and a couch. The pool is sparking clean and was so refreshing on a hot day

It could have been a great experience (hotel was clean, decent amenities etc.) except that I was given the room below the lobby. Due to the hotel design there are rooms below the lobby, which leaves guests like myself listening to the sound of suitcase wheels and other guests coming and going. All night long. Not very restful. When I mentioned this at check out, the staff said they were aware of it. Really? And they still put someone in that room? Not the kind of customer service I expect from H... Read more

i have not stayed here in a couple of years. They have maintained the quality of the property and it is still as nice as I remember. Breakfast variety was decent (no napkins!!!) The fitness center is spacious but I did have to chase a young kid out of the room. Try to pick a room on the inside vs. close to the freeway, the truckers go all night long on that road.

Location is nice next to the highway if you are on a road-trip, but real loud and hard to sleep Expected more for the price. The air con was extremely loud and woke me up numerous times during the night. Think it needs servicing. The breakfast was great and loads of variety. The 100% satisfaction guarantee does not seem to work as I was certainly not satisfied. Would not recommend. There are better places in the area.

This was a cracking little hotel, perfect as it was set right on the highway! The free breakfast was brilliant, they had a waffle station so you had freshly prepared!! The room was clean and very spacious what more could you ask for. The only thing I will say is that it would have been easier for us if the name of the hotel had been on the actual building, we ended up going round the Walmart car park!!

Nice morning breakfast with fresh waffles, pastries, cereals, fruit, and 2 hot choices each day. Several restaurants and shopping near by. AJ Spurs is close and is a local favorite steak house. A fine place to stay if you're visiting Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, or SLO. The room was average and a bit overpriced-slightly dated and could have used a good wiping down, as it seemed a tad dusty and in need of a good thorough cleaning. The shower curtain didn't have a liner and the shower head was angled in a way that caused water to drip heavily outside of the tub. The mattresses are really firm, so if you don't like that, be mindful. The chairs in the room also didn't really fit, so it seem... Read more

Great location with easy freeway access and close to Pismo Beach. King jr. Suite had odd layout, but plenty of room with a couch and separate area with micro, fridge and sink. Our room was clean and very quiet on first floor. However, view was of a block wall! Note...lobby is on 3rd floor. Hotel is on a hill so first two floors have no views. The tradeoff is higher floors overlook freeway and are noisy. Quiet worked for us, but for the price I expected to at least see the ocean!

The manager and front desk lacked clear communication when I was planning for family to stay for my wedding. The cleaning crew was slow. Check in is 3:00 but rooms weren't reading until 5:00. Booked a room in the second floor, when we got there the lobby was in the third floor because the hotel was built on a hill, so we had to go down instead of up. The noise started around 5:30 people walking, chairs being moved. The breakfast area was on top of us. They should have warned us! Horrible stay. They should never give that room to anybody. Felt cheated.

While the rooms are attractive and clean, the walls and ceilings are very thin and sound travels. We were kept awake all night long by the stranger snoring in the room next to ours. And our room was located directly below the lobby so we had foot traffic and rolling baggage noise for a lot of the night as well. Be aware that this hotel sits directly next to frontage road and Highway. Extremely noisy!! Make sure to request rooms as far away from street as possible. Breakfast just O.K. Not enough seating during our stay.

The hotel is tired, the basic facilities are good but the hotel has seen a lot of traffic and needs to be revitalized. Staff seemed also to show a general lack of interest or did just enough to do their job. Staff seemed to take a long time to fill general requests such as no towels in the pool area. Overall I would rank this hotel in the low end of the Hilton Hampton in chain.

On our final day they did not make up our room. Enough said. The front desk gave us a discount but that didn't change the messy room. Also the wifi kept disconnecting and no one could fix it. Not the best experience for a four day stay.

Good location, price, breakfast and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, 2 chairs (this is important to my husband and I because we play games) and desk, clean, quiet. Near may restaurants and beach activities.

I have stayed and this hotel a few times when I am passing through the Pismo/Arroyo Grande area. The staffing is always AMAZING! Rachel and her assistant Vanessa are always accommodating! The front desk Paul gave us a few places to check out. They even let some bikers keep their motorcycles under the front entrance to keep their bikes out of the rain! The rooms are always clean and comfortable beds. Weather your in for business (they have a desk and USB and wall plugs and wifi) or vacation... Read more

Paul was the absolute BEST! My son needed an early check-in, last minute. I wanted to pay for the room upfront and Paul made it all happen. He and his fiance' were very happy with the room (king suite with micro and mini fridge). They had only a couple of issues. AC wasn't working (recent rain made it very humid), and the dark blinds didn't close. He's very sensitive to light when he sleeps. Otherwise, they'll be going back! Close to everything, too.

The bed was wonderfully soft and the sheets were clean smelling. Everything was very clean and in good condition. Breakfast was very good and Extras like hot drinks and fruit were a nice touch. I would stay again

This is still an "old school" HI and show signs of age. Property needs remodelling and so do rooms, bathrooms and furniture. Nice staff, reasonable rates, fairly good wifi connection and complimentary breakfast buffet. However, why offer online check-in if you're not prepared to honour the guests' room choice? Somehow our king room become a double queen...

We were looking for a nice city in Central Calif near the ocean and fell in love with Arroyo Grande. Everyone was so nice there and the food and hotel were great. The ocean and beaches were fantastic. We enjoyed the Monarchs also. It was relaxing and fun.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn in Arroyo Grande which happens to be my home town growing up. I love the Central Coast of California and always enjoy coming home. The hotel is very nice with the amenities I've come to expect from a Hampton Inn. Very clean, nice employees and the morning breakfast was great. Highly recommend!

I needed an ice jug frozen for my ice chest. They placed it in their freezer without hesitation. All service was excellent. The breakfast included lots of choices. The location for west bound 101 is extremely convenient. I will be staying there in the future on my trips to Arroyo Grande. The bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in while working out of town.

This location was very central to great food and shopping opportunities. The staff was friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making our stay nice. Choose a room opposite of the 101 if slight road noise might effect your sleep.

We visit family every couple months in Arroyo Grande. While booking this stay, our usual hotel in AG was sold out! We got a chance to use the Hampton and it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was helpful and courteous too. Really can't ask for more! Didn't get to stay and try the complimentary breakfast, but we will on our next visit for sure!
