Entertainment & Activities

Anaheim is synonymous with Disneyland, which opened in 1955 on the site of a former orange grove and changed the city`s profile forever. Disney`s Magic Kingdom soon became the most-visited place in all of North America. Still, there are plenty of other reasons to visit Anaheim such as The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk shopping, dining, and entertainment districts, as well as the Anaheim Convention Center. Knott`s Berry Farm, a few miles northwest in Buena Park, adds another dimension to the theme park motif.

Proximity to Disneyland Resort: Less than 1 mile, ART Shuttle ride or 10 Minute Walk.

We got the double queen suite. Room was spotless. Bed was comfortable. The buffet was pretty good. Pool could have been cleaner. Free wifi and free parking. Good location cvs and 711 right across the street. Walking distance to Disney depending on your child's age. My daughter is 5. It was a little far for her especially after doing a day in Disney, but I guess it depends on the kid. Ended up taking an uber back and it was only $4.00 from down town Disney to the hotel. A place to do your laundry ... Read more

We were here with a dance group appearing in the Friday Disney parade and need rooms with lots of beds for lots of kids. This was one of the few hotels that offered multiple bed rooms! On check in room 306 smelled of mould in the bathroom. As a former landlord you learn these things. We thought oh it is just something else, but after a couple of days the smell got worse. It was emanating from the bath room, so my guess would be there is a leak behind the newly renovated shower panels. In an... Read more

Our kids High School Band traveled to Disneyland to perform with the Disney Performing Arts program, and this was our hotel. The hotel was doing renovations on several rooms/floors so when we arrived discovered rooms where on 2 different floors (we had hired security guards to keep tabs on all the student rooms) and on the second night, managed to juggle a few rooms to have all the students on the same floor and in the same area. Our room (for my Husband and myself) had a king bed in a corner ... Read more

We had a very pleasant stay here in July 2016. The staff i met were helpful and friendly. This hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk to Disneyland. They had 2 types of fruit infused water and coffee in the lobby and a well stocked little store. In addition there is a 7-11 right next door and a CVS and Walgreens right across the street. We stayed in the yuha kids suite which was very nice. The beds were clean and comfortable but the pillows weren't great. The bathroom was spacious, very clean, and al... Read more

I recently stayed in this hotel for a trip with my teen daughter that included the Disneyland Parks area, and single-day trips to both San Diego and Sequoia National Park. This hotel was nearly perfect, exceeded my expectations based on other reviews I had read over the past year (I booked this hotel over a year ago, so was watching closely). I have very little complain about now that I've returned home. Check-in was painless. The entire check-in process probably took about 5 minutes. They answ... Read more

The staff at Desert Palms made our stay a fantastic one. They were efficient and gracious making us feel so welcome the moment we walked through the doors. We stayed 5 nights, the rooms were quiet and clean. We stayed in the kids suite with the bunk beds in another room as well as a sleeper sofa. The beds were comfortable, with crisp, cool, clean linens. Each night we would return to our clean room, exhausted from a full day at Disney and California Adventures. The pool facilities were cle... The best thing about this place was it was in walking distance to Disneyland. The room size was adequate for our family of 5. Having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom was a plus with so many people. For the price range, I have stayed in many better hotels. The decor is outdated and worn. This is actually a relatively minor thing to me but gives the hotel a 2 star feel. Parking- underground parking tight, not always easy to find a place Breakfast- lack of fresh fruits or healthy ch... We had the family room for 7 days with bunk set in one room which was a great option for family. Comes with American style breakfast of eggs, waffles , doughnuts cereal etc. and changes daily. A pool to cool off in, and a gym if you ate to many doughnuts. The staff are always cleaning and always pleasant. Rooms and public spaces are in good shape. Wi fi only works about 50% of the time in the rooms which is a pain but good in lobby. Convenience stores and buses right outside and 10 min stroll to... Read more
