"There was construction going on requiring concrete cutting and jack hammering that would begin at about 7am every morning.
Hotel was very clean, but they scrimped on things like soap dishes and cheap bath towels. The location to the park was good. The convenience of the Anaheim Rapid Transit was great.
The first room we were given had not been cleaned so we had to move rooms at the end of a very long day.
The hot tub was unbearably hot and the pool was not heated at all.
There was not enough seating in the breakfast area.
Free continenetal breakfast was OK. The coffee was terrible.

"It is truly a 3 star and adorable. The front desk was very pleasant. We arrived 2 hours before check-in and they gave us access to the pool, which was nice. The pool area is small but clean. Up to 10 lounge chairs and several regular ones. So if the hotel is busy, the chances of getting a lounge chair are slim! We were lucky. It wasn't busy and we really enjoyed laying out by the pool. Continental Breakfast is included and decent for a 3 star hotel. The room had a minimal stench and put on the AC to ease it. Overall, the beds, cable, microwave, refrigerator worked out for us. Not so bad for a 3 star hotel!

"We stayed for 5 days/4 nights for our trip to Disneyland. The room was nice and clean. We liked the fact that the room had a micro, fridge, iron/ironing board and safe. The service was great. We didn't require housekeeping everyday, but they always left a note telling us that if we needed anything, to let them know. We never made it to breakfast so can't comment. The only issue was the the internet connection, it was horrible. The computer at the front office was also out of service during our stay."

"For the price we paid, I think we got a great deal. Staff are great, it is close enough to walk to Disney (about 15 min. of walk). We had 2 Queen beds and it was my wife and my son and I, so it was definitely adequate. The room was clean and room service was great.

"We stayed in the Sienna Suite it was GREAT for us because we have 3 children it gave us 2 t.v.s and alot of floor space so we were not in eachothers faces for the 10 days. We found it musky smelling obvioulsy due to the high humidity but we just opened up the windows for air flow...The pull out couch was good enough for young kids it was a sad looking mattress all torn up kind of gross but sheets covered it. Cleaning staff was GREAT, front end staff was GREAT. The complimentary breakfast was Extremely repeditive 10days of tons of high sugar carb foods and same 2 cereal choices but hey it was FREE so we suffered through it, also if you were not there early they are shutting doors and stop filling up the foods by 9 not 9:30 just a heads up. We did some laundry at the hotel to save sometime when we got home it was dirty little room the washer was dirty as well as the facility itsself that was the only disappointing part. Hot tub was nice after walking tons it is tiny for such a big motel but we piled in. the walk to Disney is about 3 city blocks so you cross over 3 lights. Overall the experience at this hotel was great for what we paid nothing FANCY at all so dont look for bells and whistles cause this place doesnt have them but it is a clean place to lay your head. I would suggest asking for a room away from the stairs and elevators heck even the laundry room so you dont have as much noise we were on the top floor so we had not much noise at all....."

Went for weekend. Got the King Deluxe room, asked for an upgrade and they gave me the King Jaccuzzi room for the upgrade for free. It was GREAT! Spacious, clean, nice bed, pull out couch and sitting area. Big jacuzzi for my date and I to enjoy. We had a great time. Good free continental breakfast and free parking.
Only thing that could have been better is if they had a shuttle to DIsneyland. I'm atheltic so it didn't matter but that would have made it perfect. My girl's feet were hurting on the way back from spending all day at Disney, so a shuttle would have made our trip.
Room does have older tube tv's and older mattress. NO pillow top.
Great stay. would recommend and do again!

"Extremely disappointed in the misleading statements leading us to book a 'suite' at Cortona Inn and Suites. We had 2 hotel rooms with a door in between. That door was pretty expensive for what we had to pay compared to booking 2 seperate rooms next door to each other. The staff was embarrassed and admitted to having lots of people dissatisfied with this same suite. The hotel ran short of food or totally out of food/coffee during one of the busiest holidays. Finally we had no cold water so the water was extremely hot. They came to fix the problem but it we had the same issue again our last morning."

"Our room was very nice and clean (we were lucky to get an end room with windows not facing the walkway like most of them do.). Nothing super special but a good place for the price. Pool was perfect for what we needed.. A quick dip during a hot day with our little toddler. It's not a big pool but has a hot tub and a nice vibe. It is a 25 min walk to Disneyland. Doable with a stroller, nice lite, safe streets. It is more like a motel but that suited us just fine.. Parked near our room. Honest, nice staff.. We left an expensive valuable at the hotel and they returned it to us."

"As far as the hotel itself, if it were just my husband and I, I may stay there again, but if you have small children, I do not recommend it is a 30 minute walk, 3 long blocks from Disneyland, we have 2 small toddlers, my husband had to carry my son almost the entire way. Other than that, expect to hear noise from people coming back late, if you get back to your room ealier than midnight. It was a clean room, we had our sheets changed because we stayed there for 3 nights, 4 days, other than the noise at night and the long walk to Disneyland, we have no complaints... You get what you pay for."

The hotel was comfortable and convenient to Disney Land, in fact it will take you 5 minutes to walk to the Disney carpark and then take the shuttle bus (rather than 30 minutes walk). The only thing I commented was that the coffee brewer machine location, which was located on top of a possible 6 foot tall cabinet, not easy for me around 5 foot 5 to pour water in the machine.

"Well, first we thought like it says; '1.5 block away from Disneyland.' NOT!
We requested, due to a two families trip to Disneyland, for connected rooms.
They placed us from one to another and different floor. We requested the front desk personel to put us close to each other, because of the children, he told us with an attitude,' it first come first serve, if you have problem call the third party to complain about it,' he added; 'we're not responsible for any promises or guaranty by third party booking company.
We were stuck with a 4 nights in a place we spent over $1,200.00 for the noisy stay. This was a joke! It suppose to be a place for the enjoyment.
Talk about the represenatives; everytime we went to the front desk asking for help, two of themwere always on the danm phone, instead of saying, 'sorry for the wait or something', they just let us wondering and standing there like we were there to beg them for what? Our children were not happy at all, this was for them and the trip was a disaster...
Please, anyone read this; 'DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE.'"

"The discription of the hotel was not accurate. It was a glorified Motel 6. The towels were the size of hand towels it was very noisy, kids running all over upstairs in their rooms. We did not get towels soap or toilet paper. We had to call.
Not a good stay for the money. We were very disappointed. The breakfast was not very good and no seating. I wonder how many people fall for the description??"

"I was looking forward to a fun trip to Disneyland. While looking for a hotel, the price for the Cortona seemed comparable to other hotels I have stayed at in Anaheim. We had a late arrival (1:15 am) and were greeted by a seemingly unhappy person at the front desk, and the process to check in was very low tech. (They made an actual hard copy of my driver's license!, which made me a bit uncomfortable.) Once we got to our room, I was so tired, I just wanted to get into bed and get a good night's sleep before heading to Disneyland for the day. As soon as I laid down, I felt the springs from the bed poking me everywhere. I could even feel the edge of the metal frame which holds the springs. I think the bed must have been at least 25 years old.
After a rough night's semi-sleep, I was woken up by other hotel guests getting ready for their day. We could hear every conversation that was going on outside. This, coupled with a very sore back and hips from the springs poking me, led to a less than happy morning. I went to the fron desk and asked if they had a room with a better bed. They had the room directly above us available, so I check it out. The bed situation was the same. I asked if they had any rooms with newer beds. The clerk called housekeeping and asked them. The answer was no. Apparently they were supposed to get new beds soon. In the meantime, they offered to put an extra blanket under the sheet. They said it has helped other people with the same complaint. Good to know I was not just being picky.
Needless to say, the blanket didn't help much. And night 2 and 3 were just as uncomfortable. And all mornings we were awakended by the noise outside. We chose to stay at Cortona Inn because the price included parking, which out usual hotel does not, although otherwise the price was the same. We are coming back to Anaheim in a few weeks, and believe me, we will NOT be staying at Cortona Inn again. Nor will I advise any other to stay here."

"The hotel was not very far from John Wayne Airport. We took a Super Shuttle for $10 to the hotel. The hotel was a little over a mile walking distance but the hotel had a shuttle that came every 20 minutes for $10 for 3 days transportation on many different routes. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The TV in our room broke and was replaced within a half an hour. The continental breakfast was excellent. I would surely stay there again!"

"Excellent value. Didn't really use the hotel for much more than just coming back from Disneyland to rest for the night and then leaving bright and early in the morning, but after walking to and from as well as around Disneyland, the bed was the most comfortable thing in the world. The refrigerator was nice because sometimes we would bring food back and we could have a leftover night. Breakfast was pretty good selection but very crowded dining room. Overall, definitely would recommend. "

"The room is very clean, my son loves the kids suite. he's only 4 but volunteers to sleep on the top bed of the kids bunk bed. He is still talking about it up to these days. However, the very most disappointing experience I have had here are my forgotten valuable items I am sure have left in the room after checked out. I called back after discovering I did not have my pouch bag 6 hours later and spoke to staff who ask someone to go and check the lost and found section in housekeepings and told me they did not have my belongings. What was lost was my only set of car key to my Saab parking at the airport long term parking ramp in my city, my makeup, my sonic toothbrush, my husband's contacts (full package) and other toiletry. I am certain my pouch bag were left in the room forgotten. Where else could they be. I stop nowhere else in between checking out from the hotel and my next destination which is my last hotel before I depart the next day back home. I called again the next day and they spoken to the same housekeeper who suppose to be the person cleaning my room that morning claim to have not seen my pouch bag."

"My family and I did not have a plesant experience at the Cortona Inn. First of all it is quite a long walk from the hotel to the Disneyland entrance! It is a lot further than advertised. After arriving back at our room on April 14th around 9:15pm, we turned the heater on in our room becuase the room was a it chilly. The heater would not work and was just blowing cold air no matter what setting the device was on. I called the front desk to complain and ask for a maintenance person to look at the problem. I also asked the manager on duty to comp the room becuase the heater was broken and we were uncomfortable. He told me that he would comp the room if the maintenance man could not repair the heater that night. A maintenance man arrived at our room at 9:30pm. After working on the unit for 10 minutes or so, he told us he needed to replace the thermostat and that he would be right back to fix it for us. We waited until 10:30 before we called the front desk again and said we could no longer wait for the repair and needed to get to bed becuse I have a very tired three-year-old son. We asked for extra blankets. Not only was I cold all night, but we happened to be given a room by the stairwell and I was kept up all night by other guests staying at the hotel who were yelling, talking loudly, and stomping up and down the stairs. Not a good night rest at all! The next morning when I checked out, I asked the girl up front for my room to be comped becuase they did not fix the heater. She said she couldn't. Horrible experience!! Do not stay here!!! And getting my money back is in the works."

"If you are looking for a good night sleep this is not the hotel for you. This is an open concept hotel. Between the kids running up and down the stairs and hallways, the adults talking loud when coming back from the park, the car alarms going off, you will be awake for a good part of the night. I strongly believe a policy should be put in place for this and advice your guests many other hotels do already. Food: you will get the same items every day: sauge patties, egg patties, oranges, apples, 3 kinds of donoughts, white,brown toast, waffles, 2 kinds of cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, milk, apple and orange juice, tea, mini pacakes, french toast, but if you pace yourself and mix it up every day it's fine. The quality is good. When to eat: Is open between 6:30 and 9:30 but if you want to avoid the mass of people in the morning, the best times are between 6:30-7:45 and 9-9:30 otherwise you will be standing with your food waiting for a table which aren't that many to begin with. Entertainment: The pool is heated so is very nice in the evening. The deep end is 4 1/2 feet so no diving, the hot tub is nice, but the best is having the towels available for your use, so you don't have to bring the ones in your room. I should have brought a beach ball or something to play with in the pool, as they do not provide any. Staff: Very friendly and helpful, and will answere any questions you may have. We took the San Diego Sea World tour with free ride best money i could have spent just make sure you are waiting at the right bus stop for the tour bus. We were given the wrong stop by the tour company and had to take a cab, but they cover the cost. Distance: Not too bad if you have older kids otherwise one block is really more like 2 1/2 so if you buy the all day pass for the bus at the hotel you will save money. The hotel staff will also give you a coupon for $5 off your car rental if you decide to rent one. Disneyland and Adventure Parks: make sure you do one park per day the line ups are hughe and you end up waiting up to 50 minutes to go in some rides have fast pass but not all. Also check the weather if it is windy the fireworks will not happen and what ever you do do not leave your mats or towels unattended while you whait for Fantasmic to start because the staff will take it to lost and found and you will loose you spot. I would book this hotel again providing they have a no running, screaming, along the stairs and hallway policy....Oh! and one more thing, ask for a room away from the stairs and on the last floor 3rd (that way you won't hear the guest (kids) jumping off the beads) had i known perhaps we would have been able to sleep better. :)"

"Our 4-night stay was a pleasant stay. We enjoyed our stay in the Family Suite for a family of 7. After our whole day/night Disneyland, it was really nice to come back to our room with fresh towels, made beds, and vacuumed floors. It was also nice that we can close the door while the kiddos were in the next room slept soundly. Although at breakfast we were looking forward to a belgium waffle, breakfast was standard and good for our family anyways. One thing about the parking structure was, it was quite displeasing... we couldn't find a closer parking to our room so we had to park a little ways out front along the curb where the cars come in and out and dragged our bags a long ways to our room. Other than that, the sleep, the room service and the room itself was excellent!! Thank You for having us and we will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and families. :)"

"As a local Southern California residents, we have never needed to reserve a room for a trip to Disneyland before, but it was my sons 5th birthday and we wanted to avoid the wasted time we would spend driving to and from the park and booked this room for just an overnight stay. My mom booked the room for us and one of the main reasons we chose this location was because it was one of few places that claimed to accomodate 6 guests. We ended up only having 5 guests, but once we checked in we realized that this was not a place to accomodate a large group. Check-in was seamless and the front desk staff was beyond friendly. My family and I reached the location first, so we checked in and got our free parking pass. We went straight to our room and soon discovered how small the room was. It was also incredibly stuffy and damp. The weather on that particular weekend in Anaheim was cool. A mild 75 degrees and breezy and when in the room it was muggy and uncomfortable. We opened the window to get a breeze in and realized that the main window did not have a screen attached. I have a very rambunctious 5year old and I did not feel safe on the 3rd floor with no screen on the front window. We also invited every fly in the room by having the window open. So we opted to put the AC on and freeze just so we could breathe. My mom was coming from a different location and when she arrived, she had to pay for parking. This was not disclosed when she booked the room, which she did over the phone. The kids wanted to experience the pool that evening and although it was cool, we were looking forward to the heated pool that was advertised. The pool was far from heated, it was COLD. The beds were clean and comfy. The bathroom, although newly renovated and clean was TINY and cramped for 5 people. I dont think I have ever stayed in a motel/hotel/inn where the bathroom was that small. The living area was also cramped and was not suitable for a family to sit and relax at the end of the day. The sleeper only sat two, maybe 3 people and there was one extra chair at the desk. Im not sure how 6 or 5 people were supposed to congregate in the living area with seating for 4. Again, the bedroom was spacious and clean and the only comfortable room in the 'suite'. It was obvious that there was a mildew problem in the room. The next morning, both rooms (bedroom and living room) had condensation over the entire window. The fan in the bathroom was not adequate enough to remove the steam from the bathroom or suite. We were just fortunate that we were not spending any great length of time at the suite. It was not comfortable at all. On a good note, the free continental breakfast was very nice. Saved us on time and money by not having to go out to breakfast before hitting the park. Overall, there were good points about the hotel. The staff were very nice and accommodating. One of the nicest experiences with front desk staff I have had. The grounds are very nice and clean. The free WiFi was also a huge plus. But the unheated pool and tiny living space in the room were major downers. Plus, the quality of the rooms were very odd. Having bathrooms that are upscale, but then not having screens on windows and not addressing the mildew in the room was off-putting. Keep up the good work on the customer service, but I would recommend upgrading the rooms completely, rather than doing just a partial job. "

"We stayed for 2 weeks and at one stage was booked in at a Ayeres Hotel further up the highway which publicied they were family owned and suggested you would get better quality and care while staying but we found the exact opposite and were very relived and happy to stay at the Cortonna. Excellent value for money compared with other hotels. You cannot beat it for location. We travelled far and wide while in LA including Las Vegas and San Diego and its closeness to different hoighways and freeways makes it the ideal location. The complex is big enougth to cater for large numbers but not as big as the other hotels that are very large which means you are just another number.
We took 2 of our children and it was very relaxed, peacefull and safe moving around the hotel. Cannot recommend it enougth. Staff were naturally polite as opposed to the fealing you get when people are forced to give greatings."

"Hotel OK, nothing special. Breakfast was just OK. Lots of food choices, but food quality was average. Rooms chosen were advertised as suites, but were nothing more than two adjacent rooms with an optional pass through door. Fifteen minute walk to Disneyland. Hotel allowed customers to park in hotel stalls until 11PM."

"This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We were not disappointed :) It is a great place to stay.
We had a problem with an outside vendor, but the young man behind the counter was not really interested in helping me solve my problem. His friendliness was a stark contrast to our first visit. The young man who checked us in the first time we were there was MOST helpful. He was part of the reason we came back. But overall stay was excellent."

"I stayed at Cortana the first weekend in October 2011. The place was full with people vacationing to Disneyland but it was not noisy. They made sure breakfast was fully stocked in the morning and their options varied day to day. Best part is that the bed was comfortable and you are walking distance from the magical kindom. Added bonus is there was a shuttle that dropped you off at the hotel at the end of the night when your feet are too tired to carry you back on your own. I had a good experience at Cortona and would recommend it based on their rates and discounted disneyland tickets!!!"

"Found this beautifull and clean hotel in walking distance from Disneyland. 15-20 min. walk. Clean, nice and big rooms, friendly staff, especially the frontoffice, really helpfull. Only minus, the breakfst. lounge is far from big enough to hold all the guests for breakfst. had to wait for a table or walk away with the food to the room to eat. Could be better organised, the food however was good and plenty of it. Will defenitely recommend this place to other. "
