"Went with the Mystery Hotel Deal, wow, what a mistake. I should have read some reviews. It was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, and I am pretty tolerant.
Heater smashed and didn't work. Asked for blankets next night, 'we are all out of blankets.' Mold in bathroom, faucet and drain broken... it was gross!
Asked about the bus to Disneyland, yeah the city does it on the hour and every 20 minutes. Sounds good right??? Waiting for bus, a complete stranger tells me you have to get a pass just down the hall. The hotel employee must not have thought that this was important infomation to pass along.
If you really want to save money, it was okay at best. I almost found a new hotel after the first night, kind of have wished I had.
More of like a 1and a 1/2 star. Not a three!!!"

"Horrible hotel. Cockroach in the bathroom (2 inches) and one in the hallway off the elevator. Called down and they sent up a young man to get and flush it down the toliet. Employee just smiled and acted like it was no big deal. Sliding glass door did not lock. Called front desk twice before they fixed it on the third day. Bathroom toilets had to be flushed twice. Carpeting had brown stairs and smelled. Hotel had a restaurant but did not eat there after cockroach in hallway and bathroom. Would NEVER recommend this hotel."

"Hi, we were more than happy with our stay. We knew check in was 4pm so arrived then. Staff were helpful, room was clean and maintained daily....staff arranged toys on the kids bed each day, which the kids loved! We didn't use the restaurant but for no specific reason. The hotel is old but when you are only using to sleep and shower is perfect. Free WIFI was excellent and worked well. Walk to Disneyland took about 15 minutes with 2 young kids and they did whinge on occasion but were mostly ok with the walk. Pool was great even in December our girls loved it..perfectly heated! The air con was a bit noisy but not enough to disrupt sleep. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks"

"Clean rooms, comfortable beds, Flat Screen TV & Free Internet. Great Value for the price. The restaurant was excellent as well - good food, reasonable prices and kids ate free at dinner AND breakfast! Staff were great and accommodating, no issues there. Our ONLY complaint is that the idea of being 'One Block' from Disneyland is misleading. It's closer to one mile. Had to walk across one major intersection 2 minors with lights (the one at the hotel and the one for busses entering Disney.) This walk was only about 15 min, but it is more like 8 or 9 regular city blocks away."

"This was my first stay here. It was a GREAT stay. I don't understand why families walk that distance when you get dropped off right @ the security bag check.
Room was standard with two beds, flat screen tv, mini fridge. FREE internet was great as I was able to access it everyday.

"We arrived early and had to come back at 4:00 and check-in. We did leave our bags in with the bell desk. The hotel isn't 1 block to Disney, more like a mile from door to door. The room we were given was fairly clean. The beds squeaked, the shower tub squeaked, the handle on the shower faucet came off.
The toilet/shower room was so cramped, that you have to open the door completely and step into the room, partially close the door and step behind the door to fully close it. We were given a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the front entrance. It was quiet at night, but come 6:30 in the morning, you could hear all the commotion going on. The air conditioner is noisy. And when the floor above us used their bathroom, I swear it sounded like they were using our bathroom."

"My daughter and I loved this place. Staff was extremely busy with a wedding but were extremely wonderful to all. Room was clean. It was near front of hotel near bus stop so had to have fan or a/c on so we didn't notice noise. Pool was great and clean. At night we walked down the street to watch the fireworks from Disneyland. Everything was within walking distance or you can take the bus. Did I mention how much we loved the staff? We will stay here again. Thank you!"

"Hotel needs to repair and not patch up the rooms. Toilet didn't flush correctly, bathroom tile was falling apart, plug for tub didn't work so you couldn't use the tub for the little ones, maid missed cleaning our room and replenishing important items such as towels and cups and shampoo. Poor service checking out, had to wait half an hour to check out. Two very long blocks to the hotel, not for little ones."

"Well I'm not a very picky person..I just wanted a hotel close to Disney so that my daughter and I could walk instead of worrying about parking. However, having the toilet leak water all over the floor and getting my feet all wet isn't something I enjoy. I informed the front desk and they sent someone up immediately, not sure what they did but it didn't fix the problem. They gave me a free day for parking which was appreciated... they need to upgrade the hotel just a bit. Other than that it was fine but not sure I would stay there again"

"The hotel was pretty bad! The second night the maid only made the beds. Never vacumed, put new towel. We ran out of toilet paper because the maid never replace the empty rolls. We had to call and get new clean towels and soap. I would NEVER stay there again.
The lamp was broken. My daughter went to turn it on and was shocked. When I went down to let them know, the front desk sai' we will get someone to fix it' Never happend.
Bathroom is really small. We did not shut the door. you have to move to close the door. Easier to leave it open."

"I have stayed here before, and find it sufficient to say the MOST I can about this place. They CHARGE for a continential breakfast, but don't really tell you until after you go in the dining area and start eating. They didn't know how to make a Vodka Collins at the bar, I was standing there for 20 minutes, he mixed it with Coke first and had to start over when I said 'That's not right'. And to top it off, it is not nearly as clean as I remember it being three years ago. This hotel is slipping into 2 and a half stars, only thing it has going for it is hallways on the inside."

"I had to reschedule my dates for my stay at this hotel. Upon check-in I was informed that my new dates weren't showing in their system. It showed that i was a no-show. The front desk clerk was very helpful in assisting me to correct the problem. Upon check-in there were NO TOWELS in our hotel room. When we asked a housekeeper that was on our floor for towels, we were told to call the front desk she was out.This hotel is listed as being one block away, however it's not The staff was friendly and very helpful with locations and directions to locations in the area. the value is worth the price paid. It can use some remodeling. The refrigerator was a added plus, however every time i pulled something out it was covered in water. Their was no microwave at all. It was great for the price paid but i wouldn't spend not another dime more. My children loved the pool. I would stay again only for the same price $55-$59."

"I had held my breath hoping for the best..... And I am so happy to say I got it.
The staff went out of there way with directions to other destinations, park times etc. Room was big and clean. Beds were comfortable with a flat screen TV . Ice was always available. The food was so much better than we expected. (They do close the restaurant early if they only have a few customers.) Note the laundry has two washers and two dryers. Plan to park on the bench and read a book. Pool is nice and clean with lots of towels. The only thing to keep in mind I think is In CA Disneyland area a block is a mile long ! No joke. You are one block away from Disneyland property. Not the gate. (You can pay to take a shuttle.) The kids were fine with the walk/run. I was feeling my age. In all we were a happy family of 5."

"When we arrived they put us in a room by the pool. When we opened the door it was about 110 degrees in the room. We tried to turn the wall unit air conditioner on but it didn't work very well due to age. We requested another room away from pool. When arriving at second room it was right next to room instead of across the hall. We requested another room due to the 110 degree temperature in that room as well. We ended up in a handicap room with another very old air conditioner. We left it on all day on high and when we got back from Disneyland the room still was warm. It advertising as a block away from Disneyland but it was actually 4 blocks away. That walk at Midnight after you have walked and stood at Disneyland all day kicks your butt. I would not stay at this hotel again. I never have done a review but I am trying to help others from having a bad experience. "

"I got the mystery hotel at. Disneyland. It is a very worn hotel! For what I paid it wasn't that bad, but if I had to pay more I would of been upset! Rooms were comfy. Ac didn't work well. Curtains were dirty, old and tattered! Light in bathroom wouldn't go off for 4 days! Lock on door would get stuck! It did have a refrigerator that worked and microwave( didn't use it). Beds were comfy , nice tv(flat screen). Overall for the $, I would stay there again, but wouldn't pay anymore $. The front desk staff were friendly and helful"

"This hotel was very close to Disneyland which was a plus for being so tired from a long morning at Disney, however I deffiently got what I paid for. $56 mystery hotel ($77 with taxes & fees). I would say this hotel was more like 2.5 stars considering how noisey it was. You heard every noise in the room (from people showers next door and people above you jumping or slaming stuff down). The hotel itself was stuck in the 80s and for being 'refurbished' you wouldn't have known.
It was great for one-night and for the price we paid, but I wouldn't pay more."

"DONT STAY HERE! The Mystery package is no good, and yes this is where you stay. When you enter the hotel you will be greated with the pleasent smell of rotten brocolli thought it was a one time thing but daily it was like this, the sofa beds are falling apart all the bottoms are missing the springs, we slept with three people in a double bed this was not the queen ones we were told we'd have when we booked it- we were to have king bed an sofa suite, and 2 queens with sofa bed suite- not three doubles with broken sofa beds! When we reported this and the peice if the marble counter that was hanging off the vanity so we wouldnt be charged for damages... but guess what- we were charged $159.36 for additional charges/ damages that we never signed for and they said they knew about! our rooms were on oppisite ends of the building and seperate floors- they did at least get us on the same floor... there is only one restaurant the Mexican one closed a year ago according to the receptionist... the best part of this is the hotel bell hop- he was GREAT! other then telling us ut was $40 taxi ride each way to hunnington beach (really it was $80 each way) he was informative. on two occassions they cleaned our room but never replaced the towels or wash clothes we had to wait 1.5hrs to get them- and I had to go to the desk to finnally beg to take a shower with a towel! The pool never has towels out there it takes about 2hrs for those to be fixed once you complain, there was puke in the pool that took them over an hour to respond to! This was the worst place I have ever stayed! I would tell you it would be better to stay in your car before visiting this Hotel! "

"Hotel is OLD and it is NOT a 3 star hotel. At the best the hotel should e rated at no higher than 2 star. Everything is OLD and understaff. Air conditioning is leaking water into carpet in room, remote control for TV is nor responsive, shower water control valve is leaking and you have to really tighten down on it stop water flow, door stopper does not work and door would be slamming very hard, outside trask container is smelly and trask is everywhere around it. The money did not well spend."

"The Picture on there web site made it seem better then it was. Took forever to check in Staff was on the phone and didn't really care if you were standing there. When the made cleaned the room, didn't leave us any more towels, We were left 1 bath towel for 3 people... Tub was squeeky thought I was going to fall through.. stayed away from the back end of the tub. A plus, on there web site it said parking was 12.00 a night, when we checked in they said 14. but with my reservation they said parking was included.. we got a pass and paid nothing to park!!! I got a great deal, and knew I would not be spending my entire trip in the room , so even though there were some issues for the price I would stay again!"

I don't know if blocks are different in the US or if there's
A secret entrance to Disney that I am unaware of?
But this was about 4 blocks. A brisk 20 minute walk
To the park gates. The shuttle comes... For a fee, but my
reason for booking this was to be in walking distance.
It's a tiring walk to add to a long, hot day at the parks.
The hotel was average, however I experienced an ick
Factor with the rug in our room... Needs a major
shampooing. It was also apparent that the coffee
Mugs are only cleaned with a paper towel. These two
Things made me question the cleanliness of everything else."

"Old outdated hotel. Room wasn't very nice. Stayed in the studio suite, space wasn't laid out very well.
Acoustic ceiling (popcorn) pealing off in corner of room, some fell off on the A/C unit which had wet carpet around it. The staff told me it was normal for some moisture around the A/C.
Staff was nice but seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Had to call the front desk twice to get extra towels. Called for my car from valet and when I went down they hadn't brought it around, turns out the valet/bell guy was on a break.
The distance to Disney is not bad. It's about 1 mile from the hotel to the front gate, you'll be walking more than that once you get inside the park. We stayed for four nights, I walked to and from Disney every day, three days in a row. I wouldn't have even considered ride the resort shuttle, those buses were packed, I'd rather walk, it's good for you! Plus you'll only save about 5 minutes over walking."

"I stayed this past weekend and everything was fine until Sunday (Check out day) I went to check out got my money back and finally went to leave and they were charging me 72 dollars for parking. I was furious, I only stayed from Thursday to Sunday how is that 72 dollars. On their website it says 10 dollars for parking, when we got their the parking was 12 and when we left it said 14 ? I am confused."

"Need to take a shuttle to Disneyland ($4.00 rt), too far to walk. Old hotel, mostly clean. Broken refrigerator, no stopper in tub. Maintenance fixed both after a couple days and several reminders. Got 2 free breakfasts because food in refrigerator spoiled. No bed bugs! Pool clean."

"I really don't understand why this place is called 'RESORT', room was dirty, dated, we found spider webs between the AC inut and the wall.
Bathroom was dirty, we were next to the pool and it was noisy.
It is not located 1 block away from Disneyland.
I will rather pay extra and stay on a real Resort, than come back to this hotel or any of their chains...

"Perfectly good hotel and the pool is quite private - nice for Anaheim. Booked it as a 3 Star Mystery hotel but there's no mystery - you get the worst room in the hotel; we were looking onto a brick wall. Having said that though, if you want to do Disney on the cheap, choose it."

"This hotel is horrible it is not worth the savings, the bathroom was dirty, it felt more like a motel then a hotel, also the service from the front desk to the restaurant was very poor and the food in the restaurant was good and nasty. Also the hotel is NOT one block from Disneyland, as an adult you can walk it but if you are taking children they can not walk this mile plus long hike to the park and then walk the park itself, you are setting yourself up for failure if you try it. DO NOT BOOK THIS DEAL!!!!!

"The Maid kept knocking and waking us up while we were trying to take a nap!
This happend a total of 3x! We returned to our room after 3pm and the room was not made up yet we had no towels and that is what they were knocking for to bing us first pillow cases then hand towels then wash cloths and never bothered to bring the bath towels. It was so irritating!"

"I agree with the other reviews this is an 2 star hotel. It is not one block from Disneyland more like 3 blocks. I didn't mind the walk at all... The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again because the price was excellent for the location. Overall the rooms were a little dated but the beds were small but comfortable"

"This was such a great buy! This was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. The bed was squeaky and the fixtures were a bit dated, but the staff was great and it was clean. I was worried it would be a total dump, but it was very reasonable for $60/night. The staff even comp'd my parking for both nights. We didn't try the breakfast, if there was one. For a quick trip, it was a great buy. Not the lap of luxury, but we weren't expecting that."

"Overall the Hotel was pretty decent for the 50% reduction in price. I willl not recommend paying anything higher than the $59.00 per night (plus tax). Keep in mind that this hotel also charges $15.00 more per night for a 3rd person. You also pay $12.00 a night for parking.
But my biggest complain is that the staff is NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. especially the front desk. They don't make you feel welcome when you arrive and do not thank you when you leave. So, if this doen't bother you then this is a decent choice of hotel."

"The hotel is not three star more of a two star. Since we got deal on the price of the hotel, but by the time you add tax and parking fee, the price go up.
We can get a good hotels a little outside with a good breakfast.
It is not 1 block from the disneyland as it said in the website, you need a car or bus to get there."

"Dissapointed in the stay as when we arrived the front desk are less then enthused and mildly friendly considering we are suppose to be at the happiest place on earth....Carpets were wet and air not working properly upon arrival. Hair found in the shower and shower nosel broken later that night. I guess it really was a mystery what we would stay in...Will never book mystery room again."

"Overall experience was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and nice. Bathroom area was narrow, toilet and tub room too small. Was hard for my husband and I as we are tall people, but we managed. But besides this, would definitely stay again but would probably get a suite due to the fact of our statures.
Disneyland distance is a block, but bigger than usual blocks. The location is right across from the Disney Jessie and Buzz Lightyear parking lots who provide a free shuttle from the parking lot to the park. This came in handy."

"No question about the value, the price is excellent!
A few things that are good to know though:
'one block away' is more like 2 huge blocks away. Totally walkable, but def. not a block away from the entrance. Basically 10-15 minutes away from the main gate. Still an easy walk though.
The parking fee 12$ is good for 24 hours within your check in time. We checked in on Sat. at 9 and were going to the Park Saturday and Sunday. We were about to leave the car there for day 2 also, but decided to double check, good thing we did, after 24 hours it's 4$ per hour. No one would have told us if we hadnt asked.
Last thing, the wireless wasnt working on my tablet and I called the front desk, the guy was not helpful at all said that if I had an apple product he could help (which I dont...), but that maybe I could look around and find a tech support phone number. Basically all I wanted to know is which of the 15 available connections is the right one, and I couldnt get to the page where I was supposed to accept the terms and conditions - it has always worked in all the hotels I ve been to so far. So yeah, I was happy that the wireless was free but ended not being able to use it."

"The room was just OK. The carpet was filthy! The toilet didn't flush unless you held down the handle, the bathroom sink was cracked and pitted but functioned. The new flat screen TV's are nice but sit way too low for comfortable viewing and the drapery were frayed and falling apart. Considering the low rate we got it was okay but for someone paying rack rates or even an Internet rate, I think you could do better. Parking was an added $12 a night and there was no parking up front for check-in which is inconvenient. I had to hunt down the front desk staff to check in. Check in is at 4PM, we arrived at 4:10PM and no one was at the desk. Neither the lady who checked us in nor the lady who checked us out was overly helpful or friendly. If I had to do it over again, I might opt for a little more expensive room someplace else. Maybe we got one of their most run down rooms because of the the special rate but I think if you want repeat business, you'd take advantage of someone booking at that rate and show off your hotel for the next time they just might book a room at the regular rate."

"Since we got a good deal I can't complain too much but here is my list of cons about this hotel... * The sink did not drain * I found a womans nose ring in our bed AFTER room service came and 'cleaned' *It took over an hour to get towels and I had to call twice *Shuttle service is unreliable and usually late *Toilet paper was not sufficiently stocked Pros *Room had a fridge *Fairly close to Disneyland. Definitely walkable. *No per guest fee as long as maximum room capacity was not exceeded."

"This Hotel was AMAZING!! Well worth the money! I was skeptical when it said 'Mystery hotel', but I read the reviews and everyone seemed pretty happy. Each staff member was as friendly as could be (Thank you ALL). The room itself was very clean and came with all needed accessories. "We enjoyed staying here. Came on a very busy weekend and our room was not ready when we arrived at 11:15pm. We settled for a king bed instead of two queens so we could get into our room right away. Also, the next day, the room had not been cleaned by 2:30pm when we came back to take a break from spending the morning at Disneyland. They did clean after I talked to the front desk on our way out in the afternoon. Great location for getting to Disenyland -- took the Disney parking lot shuttle to Disneyland a couple times. I would stay here again. PS The staff comped us the parking fee for the room not being ready ($12/night)."

"The hotel, for the value, was great. I paid $59.00 a night, with no car/no parking fees. The restaurant appeared to be fine, always crowded at breakfast. As a result we never waited to dine there. This was a strictly Disneyland vacation. We walked to the park each day. It is a pleasant walk, my twin 9 yr olds did it with zero complaints. We returned each night in a taxi from Downtown Disney. The fare was $8.50 (worth it!)."

"Stayed here because of the great price. They advertised this as a 'Mystery Hotel' and didn't disclose the name until after I confirmed my reservation. We were supposed to check in at 4pm but since they had a room available they let us check in at 8am. The walk is a little bit far to Disneyland but we've walked further,. Plus you're going to walk a lot once inside the park anyway and a lot of the Disneyland overflow lots are near here so I guess everyone is in the same boat. The buffet downstairs is a good value especially because kids eat free with a paying adult. Overall a great value for the price. We'd definitely stay here again. Free Wi-FI is a bonus. Everything seemed clean. Staff was very friendly."

"It was just OK, the bathrooms are very small, it was ridiculous. I could not believe that it was just revovated in 2006, more like 1986.
Other than that it was a great location across from the disney parking lot, so we left our car at the hotel walked across the street to the parking lot and caught the shuttle."

"Great hotel for the price. Clean, comfy beds and in a nice area. The room itself was great and even had a balcony. My only complaint would be that it says it's one block away from Disney and if that's true it is one VERY long block. No way I would have walked it with my 6 year old. That being said, it is on the ART shuttle line which worked out fine for us. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus in either direction and the cost was minimal. I'd say it was a great hotel for the price and would definately do it again. "
