This was a nice budget hotel right outside of Napa. It was clean and updated with a fairly large room and plenty of storage. The kitchenette area was nicely designed with plenty of storage, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. The cabinets are not stocked with any utensils or paper plates, so plan accordingly. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was nicely organized and of decent quality. We may have been there doing a low occupancy time, but it was never overly crowded. I would n... Read more

Pricy Fairfield inn Nice hotel , big rooms, comfy bed Nothing special Breakfast area didn't have enough space for everyone Free parking and free wifi Small gym and outdoor pool Doesn't worth the price but this area is expensive so they raise the price as well ...

This group of hotels by Marriott is normally within the GSA rate. The new thing for breakfast is a "real fresh" fruit mix, not the junk from a can. I talked with the lady running the breakfast area & she was glad I like it as it is costing the hotel more for this special fresh mix ad it is worth it!! No frills but covers all the basic business needs very well. The rooms are good sized and clean!

This is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi and paddling around the little pool. Didn't try the breakfast as there were too many other great places to eat, but did love the fact they had coffee and water available any time.

We slept well last night until we went out to our car in the morning and saw broken glass everywhere. There had been an auto break in right next to our car. The theft was confirmed by a hotel employee. I could not wait to get out of the hotel and the area. We will not be back. I recommend you do NOT book this hotel. After speaking with police, they advised this is a common occurrence in all three American Canyon hotels, even the ones with guards in the parking lots. I wish we'd known this before... Read more

We visited the area because we were going to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. We stayed in American Canyon because we were told it was nicer than the hotels in Vallejo. The Fairfield Inn is fine. Parking is free, which is nice. The room is clean and average. It slept four comfortably. We had two queen beds and a pull out sleeper. The rates seem overpriced, but since it is close to Napa that may be the reason they are able to charge so much. We checked in Friday night. Staff were friendly and helpful... Read more

I enjoy the Fairfield Inns when I travel alone, this was the first time with husband and son and I won't make that mistake again. If you actually need to pull out the sofabed, it blocks the way to the bathroom from the bedroom. A bit awkward. Also there seemed to be a large number of unhappy babies the entire time we were there, not sure why we could hear them so well from inside the room with all doors and windows closed, and AC running. Also had a couple of dogs barking for quite a while, I d... Read more

This hotel is close to the Napa and Sonoma valley vineyards. Free Parking, Good WiFi, Clean Room, Spacious Bathroom, small refrigerator and sink area for snacks and drinks. One King Bedroom with a pull out sofa sleeper. The Sofa Sleeper was surprisingly comfortable. Morning breakfast had sausage patties, cold cereals, fruit, coffee and hard boiled eggs, all the fixings for ham and cheese muffins. Front Desk staff knowledgeable and helpful. The spa was a mess and needed attention. After w... Read more

My husband & I checked into the hotel on Saturday night before our dinner reservations in Napa. It was unfortunate that we had to deal with a very, very unprofessional and rude front desk staff. She obviously didn't know what she was doing and didn't know how to ask for help. I've never been treated like this before and it was bad way to start our night. The hotel has nice rooms, but I'm not sure if dealing with the front desk staff is worth your stay.

This is a nice enough place, the rooms have refrigerators and coffee machines, but ironically no hair dryers:) the wir conditioning is noisy but necessary. There is no restaurant or bar either, and the pool is basic......however, the free breakfast in the morning is super good! Lots of kids around but overall it's nice, oh and free wifi

Very well kept, nice rooms, clean, and accommodating staff. Would recommend it. Breakfast included which was definitely a plus! Located short drive from downtown Napa and the Napa wineries. Pool area nice and big with whirlpool. We would definitely return!

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Napa/Sonoma wineries. Good/safe location, easy to find. The room was a nice size and included a small refrig, microwave, sink and coffee maker. We were in room 301. Checked in later on a weds night & friendly gentleman greeted us. Note: not many options nearby to grab dinner (jack n box, sonic or there is a McDonald's in the Walmart about 1/2 mile from hotel). The hotel includes a nice free breakfast with bagels, toast, muffins, waffles, scrambled eggs, sa... Read more

I was so impressed with this hotel. Near to the highway, very clean and decent. The price is a little bit pricey. Free breakfast and free parking. I wanted more toiletries such as showercaps, cottonballs and Qtips. Overall it was an excellent choice!

I stayed here because for this particular trip it seemed all other Bay Area Marriott options (I'm in their loyalty club) were at least $50 more expensive and I didn't have any need to be in the morning commute. American Canyon is sort of isolated and there isn't the typical array of mid-range chain restaurants nearby. I had to drive 10 minutes to Napa for dinner, which was fine. Their breakfast was okay but not as good as other Fairfields. I'm an oatmeal guy and you have to microwave it here... Read more

This is supposed to be part of the Marriott hotels. This place is awful! The drapes are filthy! The place is so old! It doesn't even have a in room safe! Will make a complaint with Marriott. I've never been so disgusted.

This hotel is neat, clean, and the service is friendly. You are near fuel, groceries, restaurants and more. You are only about 10 minutes from downtown Napa and all of the sites it offers. When your trip is over, it won't be too difficult to escape the traffic and get out of the area from this location.

Recently stayed here during a business trip to Sonoma and I was very impressed, given the fact that it is right on the highway. It was very convenient and easy to get in and out of yet just far enough to be quiet with no traffic noise. Room was a typical Marriott style room with all the amenities you would come to expect ... met my every expectation and was very reasonable when compared to the other hotel properties in the area. I plan to stay here again in the future.

The Fairfield Inn American Canyon offers a nice hotel with a very friendly staff that works well if it is difficult to get a room in Napa. The hotel is basic, but clean and well kept. There is a breakfast (I did not try) and a small check-in style market (similar to other Marriott properties). The staff was great, and exceeded all expectations for a hotel of this size/class. The issue with this hotel is its location which is still 15-20 minutes from Napa and about 30 minutes from the heart o... Read more
