Arrived at noon on a Saturday - our room wasn't ready until 3:30 but we sat by the pool with our friends on a beautiful day. The room is well furnished, with updated fixtures and was very clean. The breakfast buffet was also good, with custom cooked dishes available. Definitely recommend.

While grounds are nice (except my view of self storage facility out my window) the rooms and service are fair to poor. Desk staff very nice, but housekeeping couldn't even replace near empty shampoo or put away iron and ironing board when cleaning room. Room decor was fair, but while our room was quite big, it was mostly barren! Decor matters, and empty space in large room is depressing. One good point: restaurant was nice, fairly priced.

We arrived at the DoubleTree in American Canyon about 1 hour before our check-in time. We were greeted warmly by the front desk and was told that our room was ready for us. The hotel is gorgeous with a very natural and earthy decor. Our room was spacious and clean.Downtown Napa is only 15 minutes away and the vineyards are also very close-by.

This is the first Doubletree that I have stayed where there a many unattached buildings. The "Lagoon" courtyard with pool is very nice and relaxing. I was not expecting the lobby restaurant to be completely detached from the guest rooms. D├ęcor is nice but on the plain side in the rooms.

I am a repeat customer at this hotel and I am consistently amazed at the level of customer service provided to me and my companions. The accommodations are clean, kept up-to-date and comfortable. A new outdoor patio area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy drinks overlooking the peaceful lagoon. The restaurant is top-quality in both food and service.

I recently stayed here for four nights while attending a business convention and I had a great stay. Everything from check-in, to room-service, to happy hour fun the Doubletree was excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge, free Wifi, a fridge, flat screen, comfortable beds and pillows, big desk for work, and best of all, lots of plugs for phones, laptops, etc.. My friend and I took a weekend trip to Napa and found the DoubleTree a great option. We used points for part of our trip and the hotel was nice and clean with kind staff. We enjoyed our time at the Spa as well, enjoying a manicure & pedicure with some of the lively staff there. Primarily, the location was great for us, as we wandered around both Napa and Sonoma Valleys, and we'd stay again after our experience.

This hotel offers good access to Napa Valley without paying the ridiculous NAPA prices. The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. There's a restaurant and spa on site but we did not try them so this review is just for the hotel. The pool and spa are nice but small. Overall, the hotel grounds felt a bit cramped. We stayed here for one night because we needed a place close to Napa without the Napa prices. This fit the bill perfectly. It was a short drive to downtown Napa. Down the street there's a shopping center with a Walmart and many of the other usual stores, Starbucks etc. If you get the Hilton APP and become an honors member, you can choose your own room. This was a very nice feature. We were able to choose a second story, corner room that was overlooking the back parking lot. It was very quiet and... Read more

The wine country is great, but hotel prices are high and availability can be very limited. The Doubletree in American Canyon, right on route 29 is about 12 miles south of Napa and represents a very good value. The property is fine. The room was good. The lagoon area not so good. I enjoyed the bar and sitting outside. But this is in a wasteland location. After spending time near Healdsberg, we thought we could explore from American Canyon. It was sad. Even though the distance is not too great, the traffic makes it much less enjoyable. Plus nobody wants to return to a just forming suburb like American Canyon. So disappointed. I wish I would have researched more.

This is a great hotel for a visit to the NAPA valley. The safe location, value for money, food service, and great court yard make it a positive choice in this area. This is a great hotel, within easy driving distance of the entire valley. One advantage to being in American Canyon is the cooler temperatures on hot summer days. We often came back to the hotel at the end of the day with wine, bread and cheese. They have a lovely pond with several small benches and tables to sit and enjoy the wine of the day. The combination of exceptional staff, scenery, weather, and hotel (rooms and all areas are very clean) makes this a perfect place to stay.

Not a good experience at all. Did not get room we were supposed to get. We were with another couple and we both had to switch rooms multiple times due to the air conditioner not working. Fridge in room did not work and very poor water pressure. Breakfast was ok. Drive to Napa wasn't to bad except traffic is bad in the morning and terrible between 4-6:30pm. To get back over the bridge, be prepared to sit for quite awhile.

Stayed at this hotel a couple weeks ago and thought it was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. It was also located adjacent to a nice suburban neighborhood for jogging in the morning. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful, especially Stephanie at the front desk. One downside...it was very expensive...almost $300 a night. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.

Great place to stay. Only stayed overnight. Did not use any amenities. The grounds and room were very clean and modern. Would definitely stay again. Only a few miles from Napa. Avoids the high prices.

Everything about this place was great just a few things; such as a rude employee who helped us check out and the room had an odor to it. The cookies were amazing at check in. The breakfast was way to expensive for the quality.

Stayed here for a quick business trip to Napa Valley.!It was a bit of a drive from the city of Napa itself (20 minutes or so), but it was worth the drive to save a few hundred dollars per night during high season. Very clean and comfortable. Not luxurious but perfectly comfortable for a short stay.

A very clean, pretty property. The front desk staff, especially Maria, are very helpful and informative. The restaurant on the premises is excellent but, if you want to venture out, there are many things close by. The hotel is a bit further from the major wineries but, not too far, and the staff here will help you plan any & all your excursions.

Second time here, and we were very happy with our stay once again! Front desk friendly and helpful, clean rooms, grounds are nice as well. We ate at the restaurant on site for both breakfast and dinner and while its not the best food in wine country its a good option to have for the price. Secured parking at night, good nights rest with it being so quiet. We would stay here again anytime, great value!

After a very long day in the car we were thrilled to arrive. Stephanie at the front desk was wonderful. We were able to upgrade our room and get great suggestions for dinner and wine tours. Our room was very clean and smelled nice. We had a small patio and a lagoon view. The breakfast was excellent. Omelettes made to order, Starbucks coffee, waffles, eggs, meats, fresh fruit, etc. - everything was fresh. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

We chose this hotel as I only booked a week in advance and was shocked at the unbelievably high prices of rooms in the immediate Napa area (especially for what you got!). This hotel was very reasonable for a Hilton Doubletree in this area. There were recommendations about staying right in Napa or further north and that this hotel was too far out of the way. This is untrue! If, like us, you wanted to explore the Napa/Sonoma Valleys, you will likely be driving anyways. From our hotel to Napa was... Read more

Even in Vallejo the price of hotel rooms can be expensive. So, to pay 170/night for this room was good. The hotel was nice but not exceptional in either direction. It's very close to the ferry terminal, which is why we stayed there. I will stay there again.

I am Hilton honor silver member and this was the worst one I have stayed in. Needs help with the water pressure, bathrooms are tiny, restaurant service was minimal at best. I am not one to write bad reviews but would hate for someone to stay here for the price and be very disappointed as I was.

Last spring and again this fall I had the pleasure of wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa Valley. We chose Double Tree for both visits and must say this last visit was perfect for proximity to both areas. We love to go to Healdsburg for Topel Wines and a favorite dress shop and to go to Silver Oak and the other Napa Wineries. So the American Canyon location was easy to get to both areas and the staff and comfort of the Double Tree brand is always a plus. Definitely will visit this area again an... Read more

In October we made last-minute reservations to visit Napa. The DoubleTree was conveniently located and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the grounds were gorgeous. My only complaint is that the hotel could use a little facelift. Walking through the hotel, the walls were dirty and scuffed, and our room was a little funky. It looked like there were usually two Queen beds in there and they pulled out one for some reason (there was a huge random space in the room). We would ... Read more

Although this hotel is technically not in Napa, we really enjoyed it. It was just a short drive (less than 10 miles) into Napa proper and as long as we didn't make the trip during rush hour, it was fine. The staff are very friendly, the food in the restaurant is amazing (I'm serious!), and it's very convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and other shopping.

Although the hotel is 11 miles from the center of Napa, it is a reasonably priced hotel with good amenities including a spa. Rooms were clean and comfortable and it was located off a main road. Front desk staff well qualified. Restaurant staff for breakfast, not great. They couldn't get the order correct two days in a row and they were different servers. Seemed as if no one was in charge.
