welcome to the Hampton Inn-Monticello When someone tells you things are getting "fishy" in Monticello, it's no insult; it's a very good thing! Lake Monticello is gaining a richly deserved reputation as the home of bigger-than-life, award-winning catfish. However, there's much more to Monticello than oversized fish! The friendly team at the Hampton Inn« Monticello is ready to help you reel in a fun and exciting getaway - whether you're a fisherman or not!Arkansas is proud to call itself the Natural State and at the Hampton Inn Monticello, we're proud to host your visit to the place we call home. Although the "natural" draw around here is the opportunity for outdoor adventure - and you'll surely find plenty of it in, on or around Lake Monticello, Cut-Off Creek and Seven Devils' Swamp - however, don't miss out on all the fun and excitement indoors as well. Bone up on a little history at the Drew County Historical Museum, then aim for the stars at the Pomeroy Planetarium on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Monticello. During your campus visit, tour the exhibits featured in the school's Spencer art gallery and the Turner Neal Museum of Natural History. The galleries and museums are fun and enlightening, but if Lake Monticello continues to call your name. Go ahead, it's okay to answer the call - it's only natural. services & amenities Here at the Hampton Inn Monticello, we're passionate about taking good care of you. Good staff and service. Wifi is terrible. Even elite service for members. Laundry room not working properly. Clean room. Tv channel package a little disappointing, especially compared to Holliday inn across street. Very comfortable beds

Clean, quiet, and very relaxing...don't recall the price, as I used my Hhonor points for this stay. The breakfast was pleasant, and hot. Indoor pool was very inviting, as was the workout equipment in the gym. Overall good experience.....

My office came down to Monticello for volunteer work at a free dental two day event. I had a great experience, staff was wonderful and food was good. I had a opportunity to work-out in the fitness room and lay in the hot tub. The hotel is very clean and the staff is outstanding. Thanks for making my stay was great.

This Hampton Inn is everything Hilton promises. Beautiful, clean, and wonderfully decorated.Friendly service. Close to eating facilities. Lobby and breakfast area is a beautiful gathering place for social hour. Is very easy to locate. Will be staying here again when our group returns to Monticello. The hotel was just as wonderful as the Branson Landing.

This hotel is a great hotel. The guest room is nice and very clean and I really love the indoor pools. Only downfall is the check out time of 11am. But overall the hotel experience is great. The cost of the room was great and the sleeping quality is great. The sound quality is great.

Fairly new, clean, well staffed Hampton Inn. Rooms are large with a microwave and coffee maker in the room. Only complaint is that the air conditioning unit is very loud. You set the temp for the window unit with a wall thermostat-the problem is that it runs loudly until the temp is reached then turns itself off. If you are a light sleeper, it will wake you each time it comes back on! Breakfast is standard-not a lot of variety but the waffle maker is nice. A little high priced for this area...

Very clean, friendly service! We were here for a baseball tournament and staff was very friendly and helpful! The staff was very understanding when it came to a group of 10 year old baseball players who showed their excitement from winning a game. I'd definitely stay here again!

My family reunion was in Monticello July 14-17 and many family members stayed at The Hampton Inn. On the very first night there was a terrible storm causing the power to be off for a while. The staff, however, remained calm and professional throughout the entire ordeal. Everything was fine considering the act of God.

I'm disappointed Hilton does not have an alternate plan in place to be able to conduct business during a power outage. To me, there is no excuse for a corporation of that size to not have their computers on an alternate power source. Power was out for 2 hours due to a storm (not Hilton's fault). BUT, it took them another 45 minutes to finally decide to check us in MANUALLY. And then, they could not provide ou6 receipt at checkout the next morning because the computers were still down. On July 14th, 2016, I arrived at the hotel to a lobby full of people because of the storm that had blown into the great state of Arkansas. All of the lights on the "business strip" of Highway 425 were out and there was no immediate sign of the storm letting up or the power being restored. HOWEVER, in the mist of all the chaos, the hotel staff managed to keep everything running as smoothly as possible given the circumstances. Once the hotel regained power, the hotel was still without computers... Read more

Overall stay at the hotel was decent. Nothing spectacular but what would you expect for a small hotel in a town in the middle of Arkansas. The Hotel staff was efficient comma and the appearance of the hotel was probably the best that was available in the local area.

I have limited vision in left eye and according to staff member I complained to about the $14>85 charges, I hit the button for the premium charge of $4.95 a day. In spite of being an HHonors member, the charges were not reimbursed. Sadly the internet/wifi was not that good, certainly not worth the cost.

The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable with engaging people and a great breakfast. The highway in front was busier than I expected but everything else was tops. I loved the shower head. It made the most of the water pressure. The television was good and plenty of channels to view. While I did not use the internet while there it was clear that everything was going to be easy to use.

I checked in on September 25 late. The young lady was very helpful and polite. The rooms were great. Everything was perfect, except the WIFI. Just like the majority of travelers today, I need a good strong WIFI connection to work at night. This one would start off strong and fade in and out. I would stay at this hotel again, but I would check on the WIFI before making reservation. I have noticed this at a lot of the Hampton Inns. I hope this is not becoming a trend.

Only negative was the down pillows are too flat for my preference but my overall experience was outstanding! Recommended. Southeast Arkansas is hunting, fishing, and farming territory. And Monticello, like a few other towns in the state, is a college town and part of University of Alabama system. What you face when traveling to places like Monticello are few choices for hotels, full bookings, and difficulty finding places to park if you can get a booking. In short, you need to check the UAM (University of Alabama at Monticello) sports schedule to find out whether there's a big event in town during ... Read more

Some of the families enjoyed the indoor pool as well. Couldn't ask for anything better. Will definitely stay he... Read more

If you want to sleep in, this is not the place. If your "do not disturb" sign is on the door at 10:00 am, you will get no service that day. Then if you need towels in the evening, you must go to the lobby to get them as they have no one to bring them to your room.
