Clean & Friendly. If you are visiting your college student this location can not be beat. Wife and I have made this our go-to place if TheBig Blue House is full. Easy in and out with parking in the garage. You can walk anywhere on campus and not worry about where to park each time. Save yourself the disappointment of trying to get a "deal" further away. Unfortunately there are a lot of DIVES with very old pictures and fraudulent reviews in the area. Be selective, over the years (Multiple kids @ ... Read more

This atrium hotel is an older, urban hotel. It is clean, the rooms quiet and spacious, but the place has a lot of years on it. It looks old and is in serious need of a facelift/modernization. They cater to folks with connections to the University (which is one block away) and since they have that market cornered I don' think they try too hard. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was very comfy, but the door to the atrium was paper thin and noise from the piano and waterfall in the lobby... Read more

Large size room, friendly staff, and proximity to the campus and shops and restaurants are the best parts of this hotel. Comfy bed. Clean. Decor and furnishings were cutting edge modern about 20 years ago, which is the only downside. This is a good value and I will stay again.

Except for its location (close to campus and tram stop), this is one of Marriott's weakest properties. The whole hotel is dated. While rooms are spacious enough, there are no mini-fridges in the rooms. The AC is too weak (insufficiently cool in the summer or warm in the winter). The wifi is not that strong. The fitness center and the pool are too small and unimpressive for a hotel this size. The elevators are slow and busy. Breakfast is nice but pricey, and breakfast at the concierge lounge... Read more

Hotel is in fantastic location. Right on campus. Rooms are good sized and comfy. Can be noisy from the bars and restaurants at night. But location makes up for it. What doesn't work is the restaurant in the hotel. Service is unbelievably non existent. Sat at a table for over 30 mins waiting to be served. No menu no one even approach my group. And it wasn't like there was no one there. Just my table ignored. So I left and went to one of the many neighboring restaurants. Should have started with ... Read more

This hotel is on a great location. I need to explain first that I get a really good rate with the company I am working for and I am Lifetime platinum on Marriott so that gets me the 9th floor and access to the executive lounge. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, the AC work great and no noice, the showers have plenty of hot water and get two free water bottles per room. Then of course access to the lounge give you Starbucks coffee in the morning, eggs, fruit and croissants for breakfa... Read more

Recently returned from my second stay at this property near the university campus. There on business - with 200 people or so all staying at the same property. The staff at this property is fabulous - kind, helpful, and prepared for our large group. Some issues with the room - no hot water for some of our attendees - which is a big, big problem. Rooms are a comfortable size and clean.

Great stay. Went to the Arizona Bowl and this hotel is perfectly located. Within walking distance are many great restaurants--some with discounts for hotel patrons. Campus is within easy walking distance, but for those wanting to ride, golf-cart transportation was available for tips. Staff was very friendly, room was excellent and quiet. Breakfast was very good. Even though it was a short stay (one night), it was excellent.

Pleasant staff, convenience to downtown and U of A, and price are the strengths of this place. Unfortunately, it is dated and showing it. The John Portman atrium style of the previous century is quite stale. Why the planter boxes on each level are not adorned with plantings escapes me. Flowers in these boxes would transform the dull, monochrome appearance of the atrium. This place needs a make-over in the worst way.

I stayed at this property between Christmas and New Year when the University was not in session. The hotel is the old atrium style with two elevators serving 9 floors. The hotel desperately needs remodeling and freshening. The rooms are tired and the bathroom was in pretty sad shape. I went to the Executive Lounge and immediately left, as there were screaming toddlers in the room. I am not sure why this is allowed. I ordered a turkey club sandwich from room service and was brought a turkey sa... Read more
