What a beautiful property!! The room was huge, the bathroom was awesome (big and separate shower/tub), the beds were so comfortable, and the patio view was breathtaking. We stayed by the pool all day on Saturday looking at the mountains in the background. I just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go back. Thanks, La Paloma, for a lovely weekend.

We stayed here three nights on a recent trip to Tucson. We upgraded to a golf course view by the clubhouse. The room was great. We had two double beds, a patio and a large bathroom that included a tub and separate shower. The beds were really comfortable and I really liked the array of pillows on each bed to choose from. The grounds were impeccable and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. If there was one item that could be improved upon it would be the swimming pool. The main pool with the ... Read more

This resort is WONDERFUL! I travel to Tucson monthly for work. Until now, I have stayed at hotels that are good, but not great. This hotel, however, exceeds all expectations for business, leisure, comfort, and friendliness. From the comfort of the bed, to the wonderful scenery, and the friendliness of the staff, this resort is top notch. Some of the highlights for me are the pool and the fitness center. I'm not sure what the issue is but there is a serious mold problem in some of the room as well as outside the rooms in certain locations. Anyone who is allergic to mold should stay away from here. For a Westin, it is pretty bad.

The Westin la Paloma is a gorgeous hotel! We enjoyed our time at the facility. The rooms were beautiful, clean, well kept and a treat. Beds were comfy and the bathroom has been re-done nicely. The 5 pools are great and fun for all! I love how "family friendly" this hotel is. The restaurant staff is amazing! They went out of their way to make my husband's birthday dining experience memorable. My one little tiff is some of the pool staff did not know anything about the hotel. Upon asking questions... The resort is about 40 minutes from the airport at most. After a long flight from NY arrived at hotel and was not greeted by valet, parked the car in front of hotel and asked where to check in. From there it got better, check in was pleasant and was able to talk about location of the room. Did not want to be far away and I paid extra for a view. We've stayed here 4 times now for quick weekend getaways, most recently May 20-22, 2016. Its a lovely property, well landscaped and especially the pool complex. Stunning views of the mountains also are gorgeous. However, they have some issues. 3 of our 4 stays we've had non-working phones, or sinks, or the Tv, or the fridge, etc. Its annoying to have to call engineering every time. We truly enjoyed our stay at the La Paloma but there were some issues. When we checked in at 3 our room was not ready it took almost two hours. We were told they would call us but never did, only when we went to the desk were we told our room was ready. Other members of our group were not told there was an automatic tip and entered one in the provided space. Azule dinning area has had unreasonable wait for food every time - eggs take 45 minutes e... My family stayed here over a long weekend, we loved it. The resort allows you to really relax and enjoy a luxurious retreat. Staff are very accommodating, beautiful pools with water slide, amazing adult area with mineral spa and modern rooms. The poolside service was great and the food was outstanding. This resort caters to your needs and ensures you are satisfied with your stay. The only down side is the parking can be quite a walk from the rooms, but of course staff are available to get you wh... The staff at La Paloma Resort are friendly and professional. Our first night we were treated with complimentary wine and desert in recognition of it being our 21st anniversary weekend. It was completely unexpected, but very much appreciated. The suite was clean. Our view was scenic with the mountains sprawling behind the golf course. The wild pack of Javelinas rooting around below our balcony were neat to observe. It was a fabulous four day stay among the Catalina Mountains. Thank you Staf... Read more

Our family of four stayed at the Westin La Paloma over the Labor Day weekend for a "staycation". We live two hours away, but went to the Westin to get out of town! We were enticed to stay there by emails advertising "Westin Weekends" and late checkout. When you are only staying one night - a 3pm checkout makes it worth it! So we booked the hotel and "requested" late checkout. I was happy to see when I got my confirmation email it clearly stated "Standard times for this hotel are as follows... Read more

I set up a stay for our 5th anniversary and let me say The Westin did an outstanding job. One person in particular Danae Norris helped me with all the details of the room. She also advised me to bring a card and flowers to her the day before and she would have them delivered to the room when we left for dinner. Not only were the card and flowers delivered but a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! Amazing job and amazing place to go she has made me a customer for life! The sal... In August I attended a conference at La Paloma. It was a great experience. The conference staff were very attentive. In particular, one of the servers, Nels Schroer, provided outstanding service. I have several (to say the least) food allergies and Nels went out of his way to ensure that alterations were made to the conference menu items to accommodate my needs. I was very impressed (and grateful)! La Paloma is a beautiful resort and a wonderful place for a conference

Did the summer special but would not pay full price to stay there. It was just an average place to stay. The location was good for us for what we were in Tucson for. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Attended a conference event at the Westin La Paloma and was so impressed with the staff, service and accommodations. This is a first-class resort in Tucson not to be missed. I look forward to returning for some relaxing personal time.

Dawn in reservations went above and beyond to accommodate a last minute request against some pretty steep odds. Her follow up is simply something that is no longer common. It's good to know that there are still people in the world who know what good old fashioned customer service looks like. Hats off to the Westin folks for employing people like Dawn!

I was here for a conference a few years back. I ended up extending my stay through the weekend and having a friend join me. This is a great resort for families and golf outings as it is not "adult only". The layout is expansive and the service was fantastic. My king bed room overlooked a fairway and had great views of the Arizona sunset. It was quite large enough to spread out and had a balcony that was definitely comfortable to hang out on at night for 4-6 people. The service was impeccab... Read more

A very nice resort close the base of the mountains. Expansive lobby area with a nice restaurant. Room was large with a very comfortable bed. Pool area has a slide and plenty of lounging chairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a terrific experience.

We arrived later than we had hoped for our stay over Labor Day weekend. The parking was not close to the room at all, so we had to carry all our luggage at least 15 minutes to our room. I was a bit disappointed that none of those working outside at the valet area offered us a ride to find our room, especially since it was dark by then. I did not know that was what the golf carts were for - learned this as a 6 person cart whizzed past us carting 2 people to their room (they didn't offer us a... Read more

While my husband attended his conference at La Paloma, I dropped in on classes scheduled at the Workout Center. In addition to my usual yoga and pilates, I was able to try (and survived) Booty Barre. My favorite session was the Fascia Release, more self massage than exercise; afterward, I felt more relaxed than I have in years. The instructor stayed well beyond the scheduled time to allow us to finish from toe to head. Each year my husband's conference meets at a different resort, but I would... Read more

I have stayed in many resort hotels and this is a take it or leave it situation. Nothing was terrible but nothing was outstanding. With the exception of the view there was no wow factor here. The rooms were generic for a resort hotel, even had to plug our own lights in, the food was not bad but the wait time for food at the bar was ridiculous! Check in was nothing special. Didn't get the usual "Welcome", or "Glad you're here", not even "HOW are you!" A few in our party were asked if they needed ... Read more

Resort felt slightly unusual but not quite sure how to pinpoint it. Quite confusing to begin with in orientating yourself/room. Corridors are outside and the middle block of rooms could feel a little motel like. Our room was lovely with views of the golf course and a lovely big balcony. We ate outside at Azul most evenings as we didn't want to travel off-site but found it to be mixed at best - with quite a limited menu & variable service which at some points was unprofessional for an high-end re... This is a nice resort and with blocks of buildings within the property. The far building can be 5 to 10 min walk to the lobby. So, if you prefer privacy, the far building might work out well. If you like to be close to lobby, restaurant and pool, you may want to make the request during the booking. I like the serenity garden, it is very well landscaped with various types of cactus. The view from the lobby is also magnificent. From the safety perspective, the path from hotel blocks to the lobby ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel recently to attend a wedding. This property doesn't look like your typical Westin. Nestled in the foothills of Tucson it has a southwestern vibe. It had everything I would expect from a Westin. (Great customer service, and heavenly bed). The wedding was held on the lawn and it was a beautiful setting! I would definitely stay here again if I found myself in Tucson.
