the westin is a beautiful property with a graceful spread out feeling to the rooms. we had a huge suite that looked out on the golf course and made us feel right at home. we played golf and enjoyed hanging out at the resort. the staff and the facilities were excellent. i especially loved our big comfortable bed and the big modern fabulous bath. everything was spotless and comfortable. we plan to go back just as soon as we can.

What a beautiful property!! The room was huge, the bathroom was awesome (big and separate shower/tub), the beds were so comfortable, and the patio view was breathtaking. We stayed by the pool all day on Saturday looking at the mountains in the background. I just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go back. Thanks, La Paloma, for a lovely weekend.

We stayed here three nights on a recent trip to Tucson. We upgraded to a golf course view by the clubhouse. The room was great. We had two double beds, a patio and a large bathroom that included a tub and separate shower. The beds were really comfortable and I really liked the array of pillows on each bed to choose from. The grounds were impeccable and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. If there was one item that could be improved upon it would be the swimming pool. The main pool with the ... Read more

This resort is WONDERFUL! I travel to Tucson monthly for work. Until now, I have stayed at hotels that are good, but not great. This hotel, however, exceeds all expectations for business, leisure, comfort, and friendliness. From the comfort of the bed, to the wonderful scenery, and the friendliness of the staff, this resort is top notch. Some of the highlights for me are the pool and the fitness center. The lobby bar has fantastic drinks and appetizers, the parking in convenient to the fro... Read more

I'm not sure what the issue is but there is a serious mold problem in some of the room as well as outside the rooms in certain locations. Anyone who is allergic to mold should stay away from here. For a Westin, it is pretty bad.

The Westin la Paloma is a gorgeous hotel! We enjoyed our time at the facility. The rooms were beautiful, clean, well kept and a treat. Beds were comfy and the bathroom has been re-done nicely. The 5 pools are great and fun for all! I love how "family friendly" this hotel is. The restaurant staff is amazing! They went out of their way to make my husband's birthday dining experience memorable. My one little tiff is some of the pool staff did not know anything about the hotel. Upon asking questions... The resort is about 40 minutes from the airport at most. After a long flight from NY arrived at hotel and was not greeted by valet, parked the car in front of hotel and asked where to check in. From there it got better, check in was pleasant and was able to talk about location of the room. Did not want to be far away and I paid extra for a view. Had room 306 on building A? close to the main hotel and a beautiful view of the golf course and Catalina mountains. The room is spacious and comfortabl... Read more

We've stayed here 4 times now for quick weekend getaways, most recently May 20-22, 2016. Its a lovely property, well landscaped and especially the pool complex. Stunning views of the mountains also are gorgeous. However, they have some issues. 3 of our 4 stays we've had non-working phones, or sinks, or the Tv, or the fridge, etc. Its annoying to have to call engineering every time. The padded pool furniture was replaced with Tropitone web chaises that have a hard metal bar right underneath your ... Read more

We truly enjoyed our stay at the La Paloma but there were some issues. When we checked in at 3 our room was not ready it took almost two hours. We were told they would call us but never did, only when we went to the desk were we told our room was ready. They also try to sell you on "Going Green " meaning they would only make your bed every three days and only exchange towels that were left on the floor also empty the garbage daily and replenish coffee and water as needed. Well, towels were ne... Read more

As part of the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa, a delightful new restaurant, Contigo Latin Kitchen was visited by nine of us for a birthday celebration. We first visited the cocktail lounge while staff was preparing our table in a semi-private area over looking the city of twinkling lights. We were fortunate to receive fabulous service from our waiter and great wine support from Christoffer Huser. We started with appetizers for the group to share. Unbelievabley delicious! Pleasantly suprized with a "parlor suite" upgrade. This is an extra Murphy bed, leather couch, sitting room, TV, fireplace, triple pane sliders on each side of fireplace, a breakfast bar, dining room and an additional full bathroom/shower attached to the standard 2 bed room! You could technically bring 6-8 people to stay comfortably in this type suite. Coffee makers with Starbucks coffee in each room as well as a location in the hotel lobby. I am a resident of Tucson and have had a membership to La Paloma Country Club for 10 years and use the amenities of the Westin as well. My family and friends stay there often when they visit. I wanted to commend the staff as they are the ones in the background who continue to make The Westin the world class resort that it is. I want to mention one associate in particular, Vesdna Stevelic. She works so hard and always has her areas exceptionally clean and well-stocked. I am privileged to have th... Read more

Because I'm a local, I've never stayed at the Westin La Paloma, although I've attended meetings and events there and always thought it was nice. But I had to stay there recently and it was a terrible experience. When I checked in, there were 7 people in line. The front desk staff was very accommodating but there's no reason for such a long wait. I discovered when I woke up in the morning that my bathroom had never been cleaned from the prior guest! Disgusting. I had to go home to shower. When I... Read more

Our family spend a couple nights at La Paloma for Easter weekend. The pool area offers a lot of fun for kids. There are pools for adult fun, a small pool for younger kids and a water slide. The Easter egg hunt arranged by the resort was great. There were so many eggs for all the kids to find. Definitely recommend for a family get away.

I stayed here for my 17th birthday with my 3 other friends. It is a very beautiful resort. We spent the majority of our time at the pool and of course at night in the room. The only thing I didn't enjoy is when they told my friend and I we weren't allowed in the mineral pool even though we had two adults in there with us, and we are both 17 years old? Also, the food is ridiculously expensive. $11 for chicken strips? $20 for a pizza? But overall I really enjoyed my experience and am looking forwa... Read more

My husband and I are Ritz Carlton fans, no doubt about it. Beautiful properties and stellar service - always. There is no Ritz Carlton in Tucson where we decided to stay for 3 nights before our flight overseas so we opted for the Westin La Paloma - a vast and gorgeous property in north Tucson. We checked into this beautiful location a few hours ago. The hotel and pools are packed for the July 4th weekend. We had booked a master suite for 2 nights and decided too late to add on one more night. Un... Read more

Went to the Westin for a weekday getaway with my husband- Sun through Wed. Booked a deluxe mountain view room. This was our first time staying at this property. Arrived late on Sunday evening to a lack luster reception. The front desk was polite but not overly inviting. She didn't tell me anything about the resort and/or amenities available. Felt like I was checking into a motel 6. Same thing for the bell boy who drove us to our room. He looked bored and uninterested in our experience at the res... Read more

My husband and I booked a stay at this resort on a whim. Trying to find a nice get away, a place to return to when we want to unwind and be pampered. Sadly, The La Paloma, isn't it. Seriously, I desperately wanted it to be a repeat spot. Another book a room special and get the "special" room. I booked directly off the Westin website and they had a July special for $109 a night for an upgraded room and $10 off the resort fees. Now, my mistake apparently, but the room advert said $109 Deluxe Kin... Read more

We are a couple with two college aged sons that stayed at this property last weekend. I had enjoyed my stay at the property two years before and was looking forward to a relaxing weekend with my family. Mom was in town to visit, and I wanted to start my vacation off right with a stay at a gorgeous westin hotel. Hotel grounds were overall pleasant and clean, but when we checked into our room, there was a very strong odor of musk. I have stayed at numerous hotels and I expect a clean room which includes the smell! They moved us to another room, but it was not much better. My family (2 adults, 2 kids) have stayed at the La Paloma two summers in a row for a staycation, and this year we weren't impressed. Its a nice hotel, with fantastic pools and a giant slide, but our experience this time was not great. The pools, as I said, are great. Theres an adult area, numerous hot tubs and a couple of large pools for kids and families that we lived at for 2 days. I love coming here. I get my exercise walking on the grounds. It is a beautiful walking at night. The service is good. I think if you are bringing the family, prices could be lower on food. As teachers we have a limited budget on what we spend each day. I would rather eat in the hotel if it is economical for me.

Stayed at the La Paloma for 5 nights and I couldn't be happier. The stay was amazing and had a great time enjoying the grounds (which La Paloma has a really nice blend of hotel grounds and desert). The food was absolutely delicious and the Azul restaurant was really nice. Mr. Mnatzaganian went above and beyond to make our stay and our experience at the hotel just spectacular. We'll definitely come back, especially as a result of Peter's exquisite service.
