This is a first-rate experience, perfect for those who wish to stay put for a long visit. Aside from the $25/day resort fee per day (which seems annoying and unavoidable these days), from the very first moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, very attentive and willing to go the extra mile. We had arrived very early and secured an early check-in which set the tone for the whole short visit. Unfortunately, we had to leave after just one day but this one day was blissful. There are so many po... Read more

We had a lovely room here the staff is nice. Had help with our luggage to and from our room which was quite a ways from the lobby and the parking lot. Good reataurant here. However in december this place is cold. The bathrooms were so cold I spread out the towels on the bathroom floor to keep us off the freezing floor. When I mentioned this to the staff at the front desk she replied " we don't do heaters well in Tucson" well it was 32 outside and the should start to consider it. Overall a lovely... Read more

We were looking forward to a 3 day break, relaxing at the Westin. Oh how I wish I had chosen another hotel. Before we arrived, I called customer service and asked them for a bright room with a view. What we got was a dark, gloomy room overlooking the black tarp Tennis Court screen. It felt as if being in a basement. It completely wiped out the feeling of being in Tucson, waking up seeing the sun on your balcony... The internet (which you pay for with their $ 25 resort fee!) is spotty and unrel... Read more

I frequently stay at Westins and do so because I like the fact that I can always expect a consistently good to great experience. This is the first time I can remember being disappointed at a Westin property. We upgraded to the La Paloma suite (for a price) which we were told was their nicest suite. It was definitely a huge suite but was very dated and sparsely furnished. The furniture on the patio had tears in it and the trim on the patio door was damaged and hanging down. In addition, the bed a... Read more

The La Paloma Resort is beautiful, with just the right balance of natural sophistication. When you are staying in the foothills of a beautiful mountain range you don't want the feeling of a Las Vegas hotel, but you don't necessarily want to feel like you are camping either. La Paloma hits that sweet spot. The service is excellent and friendly, but subtle and reserved like Tucson itself. The location is excellent and is a 15 minute drive from Sabino Canyon, a must-see National Park. We will retur... Read more
