Set in the foothills, desert, mountain majesty. Excellently trained personnel in every situation. Delightful architecture and decor with polish but not arrogance. Everywhere clean and inviting. Little nooks and crannies with unique views. Challenging Golf course/country club, convention center emphasizing art and light, fabulous windows highlighting their inviting play pool, competitive laps, and mineral soak. Every day. no matter how early I went out to take photographs, there was cold fresh wa... Read more

Pros: great service, beautiful mountain views from third floor, nice grounds, good restaurant with nice out door seating, unique south west decor, architectural interests. Cons: Third floor is Noisy! Highway noises! Lower level patio rooms do not have views but are quiet ,rooms are tiny and stuffed with over sized furniture, horrible fluorescent lighting, warm water- not hot, located very far from town on a highway dotted with strip malls--urgh, that is Tucson. Breakfast served on styrofoam! Gr... Read more

Very nice stay. The view is so beautiful. The grounds at the hotel are well kept. Hotel bar was very nice. Food for dinner priced ok. Was not at all happy with the breakfast. The rooms are a little on the older side but very clean and comfortable. Over all it was nice for what we needed. The area around the hotel has everything you could want as far as stores, places to eat, banks and much more.

After exhaustive research in our AAA book, we found the place that provided beautiful views of the mountains, comfortable accommodation, a swimming pool, and a built-in restaurant. We wanted to get a way just for ourselves for some rest, relaxation, and renovation. La Posada worked perfectly for us.

This hotel was nice, clean and the service was great! The only thing that I was a bit dissatisfied with was the noisy location. It sits on a busy street, with exterior corridors and was somewhat noisy. The view from the balcony was great and the pool and hot tub were heated. Breakfast was better than expected.

Grounds are lovely. Casitas are great. Breakfast was adequate. Love the tile in the rooms. Desk clerks (Travis) were friendly. Large Keva would be turned on outside, if asked...The fountain outside was always running. That is the whole point of them. Hate when they have them but not on! Fireplace in lobby was on also. I also like that dogs were here. Room was small and needed a full length mirror on one wall...

This was such an unexpected treat on our South West trip. The rooms are wonderful with a South-Western flair. Pool, Hot tub, and grounds wonderful. I have never stayed in such a wonderful place for such a reasonable cost. Our visit was in January 2017.

Wife & I stayed three days in early January while we were reviewing Tucson as a possible relocation site. Our booked room rate was $104 (plus obscene local tax) but once there we discovered we could upgrade to a casita for four dollars more. The property would be a nice vacation spot for snowbirds wanting a break from northern weather. The rooms are old but well maintained, with lots of decorative tile and very comfy beds. The fairly large pool is said to be heated year round. There is a ni... Read more

We like staying here because it works out well when we bring our dog. However, management has now added a $25 "non-negotiable" PER DAY fee for having a dog (It costs just a bit more to kennel our dog somewhere). When we have our dog with us, we never request housekeeping (which frees up staff during holidays), AND we always clean up well after our dog, both in and out of room. I imagine this fee is because some customers have taken advantage of the hotel with their pets. We will most likely re... Read more

The hotel staff was very friendly. This is an older property, but has been renovated nicely and has a resort feel. Our third floor room with a balcony had a beautiful view of the grounds, view of the mountains, and views of the city lights. Free breakfast was about the usual; styrofoam bowls and plates, assortment of cereals, etc. Good value lodging for the price.
