I stayed for 3 nights on business and everything was great! I ate breakfast at the restaurant as well as dinner and the food was excellent for all the meals. The room was more than I even needed and gave me plenty of room to spread out. The proximity to the airport (on the same block, basically) was so convenient for both arrival and departure. I did not make use of the pool or Jacuzzi but both looked very well kept and inviting! Will definitely be back!

We stayed here after UA Commencement since it is right next to airport. Being a Hilton Honors member, I always try to stay at a Hilton property because the company has a high standard of quality. This property is very dated and the AC didn't work in one of our rooms. Staff is very nice and try to make up for property deficiencies but work needs to be done to bring this property up to Hilton standards.

Absolutely love the property and the hotel staff. You guys are awesome , I don't remember everyone's name but Randy, Eddie, Tim and the front desk ladies were all super sweet and nice and helpful. I chatted with the maintenance guy Randy, about how the property is updating and I wish I worked with you guys. Stay with you for a team member travel and will definitely be back. This place rocked. Such a beautiful hotel in a great location, within walking distance of the airport and local eating places. It appears to be a beautiful environment for a wedding, party, or gala. The room was so very nice. The suite was cozy yet large enough to house multiple people. I was very impressed. The staff was great. Only complaint is the shuttle bus is a little slow when needed. Waited at the airport for 30mins waiting to be picked up. Other than that it was A 1 in every thing espec... Read more

The hotel has bed bugs, so now I'm covered in bites and working frantically to make sure none of them came home with me and infest my house. When I called the front desk to report the problem, they moved me to another room, but they seemed unsurprised.

Nice breakfast facilities and modern lobby. Beautiful outdoor courtyard containing the pool area with trees and plants was very nice. Room was large but a bit dated. Bathroom tiny but functional. Everything we needed was there, very comfortable bed for a good nights rest with no airport noise.

We stayed here two separate dates and nights. It was wonderful! It's a little dated, but noticed they were doing some cosmetic remodeling during our stay and when we left. The breakfast was amazing!! Everyone was happy! Some love pancakes and some love waffles. Great to see they had both options, and other great variety. I even washed a load of clothe and they came out clean.. including my husbands new iPhone 6. ???? Hahaha.. OPPS!! ??????

From an airport perspective this hotel is ideally located and convenient. The staff there is great but the hotel needs to finish their refurbishe, hopefully soon. I'd be willing to try it one more time before passing final judgement but the hotel is older, the right side of the was collapsed and the bathroom WAY too small.

This hotel is about 20 minutes from home. They offer a room, long term parking and shuttle(24hrs) for $100+tax. We needed to be at airport at 4am so thought this was a way to reduce stress day of travel. No shuttle available so we had to walk to airport to ensure we got there on time.

Double tree was spoilt by the lack of room heating and in February is was needed overnight. I complained but was told that the system is not set up for heating during this season. It is set up for cooling but not heating. Clearly an old system that does not offer flexibility or control. The room itself was fine and the bed comfy. Breakfast also ok in the restaurant area with choices of hot and cold foods. Very convenient to the airport as its easily walkable in 10 minutes or a shuttle is on... Read more

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The room was clean, the bathroom was also clean, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved the pillows. We arrived from traveling in a vehicle for approximately 8 hours. I pre-booked the hotel using points, as I am a hilton diamond member. They moved us to a new room (we stayed for 2 nights), and gave us a voucher for the restaurant (only reason for 2nd star). However, the entire restaurant was leaking!! Stayed here for business in June. This airport hotel is literally the first one from the airport. So close, you might miss it in a rent-a-car. The check in was slow. Since most flights get in around 8-9, why weren't there more desk clerks? This was the same most times I came by the desk. Phones ringing and not being answered. Long wait time to ask a question or get a cookie. The room was spacious - great. Missing shampoo, unclean ice bucket, and a leaky window.

The suite is spacious having separate rooms for work and sleep. The hotel restaurant had many offerings with good food. It is convenient to the airport and the sites I visited for work and had an airport shuttle. One staff member, Daniel Rosas at the front desk, went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with a change in my reservation. He was extremely patient, polite, and professional when I was very stressed. Daniel's help gave me peace of mind during my stay.

Perfect for early morning flight with comfortable bed, free early morning shuttle and free 2 week parking while on trip. Rooms were very comfortable, staff was efficient and friendly, but, it is time for the hotel to refurbish it's exterior. It looks like it has seen better days. A new exterior paint job would probably be sufficient.

The rooms are clean and smell OK but looking very old. Mismatched furniture and seams coming loose on wall paper. Strange set up for the bathroom sink and toilet area. Security fence around pool, the gate does not line up and would not latch without more force than I wanted to try. Staff is very good at customer relations. Upon check-in the front staff sense of humor was inappropriate to another guest as the young man was making wisecracks about where the older lady was from. With me, same thing but i snapped back. Rooms are noisy...not from airport but from water from other rooms. You hear loudly when someone flushes the toilet and its enough to wake you. Plane noises are not as loud as the water. You hear when someone is showering also. Disappointing and not staying here again

could have been a tad cleaner, but overall very clean rooms have outside entrances and noise from roller bags and cleaning carts is quite audible - i wear earplugs to sleep so can't comment on night noises the pub on premises has fairly good food/wine/cocktails the patio is very nice, with plants and a large fountain which covers the street noise pets allowed in all rooms

We stayed near the airport (closest hotel to airport) because of an early morning flight. We spent the night, left our car, took the shuttle to the airport and called them for a very short wait to go back and get our car. This is a one bedroom suite. When we arrived there was a big sign saying Douglas Sakal is our guest of the day. We got two free drinks, free hot breakfast and a bag of treats for the room. They are so close to the airport that even when the shuttle is just leaving you only... Read more

I only spent one night there but it was a lovely hotel. The complementary stuff was an added bonus to a nice room and complementary airportt shuttle. The only problem is I didn't know about the shuttle before I got there but the walk from the airport to the hotel wasn't bad.

The staff is exceptional and they go out of their way to cater to hhonors members. While the hotel accommodations can best be described as clean and comfortable, there are renovations in process, and despite being close to the airport, not a single plane could be heard inside the room. The property outside the lobby felt a little dated, but everything seemed to be well maintained, and the restaurant/bar was a great place to unwind and watch the games. The hot buffet breakfast was among the ... Read more

Very close to the airport, comfortable bed, pool was good for a quick dip. Pretty much US standard, nothing special but ok for the price. Breakfast buffet was bland and uninspiring. Wi-Fi worked ok, Fitness centre looked good (from a safe distance) All in all, will stay again when I've business in the area.

Everything was minimally ok EXCEPT the air conditioning. The system was undergoing its semi-annual switchover from cooling to heating. It was freezing cold and I couldn't adjust it. I had to call the desk to complain before someone told me the problem and advised me to solve it by turning off the AC. After 24 hours the room was almost tolerable. Someone should have advised me about this at checkin.

With an early departure from the Tucson airport, we decided to try the Doubletree and we were glad we did. Although somewhat dated (probably at least 30 years old), the accommodations and the service were very good. Fortunately, we had a first floor room as I did not see an elevator anywhere around. Even though we were literally within walking distance of the airport, noise was not an issue. The room was a nice size and the bathroom had both a shower and a tub. Nice pool area and gym. The ... Wonderful accommodations and outdoor pool/spa. Breakfast far exceeds most and will definitely return. Staff were very nice. Though located by the airport, I did not hear any planes at night. During the day it can be noisy so don't plan on taking a quiet nap during the day. Overall, very, very nice.

This site likely used to be a top of the line. The rooms are more than adequate for a couple and comfortable but the entire property and furnishings are due for an overhaul. Internet and computer, ipad, etc., assistance is minimal or non-existent. Also happened to be a trade show at the resort that was not disclosed during booking.

I recently stayed at this property for two nights during a business trip to Tucson, my first visit to the city. The Doubletree by the airport is a nice Hilton property. The rooms surround a large and beautiful courtyard, with two large fountains, a fitness center, conference center, swimming pool and hot tub. The landscaping is very "southwest" and beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, though the HVAC controls can stand upgrading (no ability to have the fan run all the time, which would help... Read more

Near the airport, but you wouldn't know it. Great service. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Great restaurant. And I'm suppose to use up some more characters. I thought I summed it up pretty well. This DoubleTree is supporting local organizations to make a better place to live in. That in itself deserves your continued support by staying here every time you come to Tucson.

Great rooms with a very comfortable interior courtyard for relaxation. The staff was exceptional, professional, and very helpful. The restaurant attached to the facility had food far better than I am used to receiving in a hotel at a very fair price. The pool and Hot Tub looked well maintained even though I did not use them this trip.

My overall experience at this hotel was good, but I did have an issue at check in. I reserved a single King bed two hours before my arrival but when I arrived was told only double bed rooms were available. I checked the website again when I got to my room and it still showed King beds available. This was very disappointing and misleading. It seemed very much like a "bait and switch". Breakfast at the restaurant was very good, both the quality of the food and the excellent service. The hotel has ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel twice to and from Rocky Point, the staff was very nice shuttle driver super helpful. On the return trip we got in after a long drive were relaxing in the hot tub and were told that we had to get out because it was closing. When we got back to the room we realize that it wasn't even 11 yet and we could have had a few more minutes to relax. Pretty disappointing it wasn't just us either, guests from 4 different rooms were also present and none of us were being loud just sitt... Read more

The hotel staff are simply great. We received great service at check-in, at the bar and at the restaurant. The room was a suite with separate sleeping area. The only gripe is the shower/toilet area was tight. The location feels safe and the hotel has plenty of free parking. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the food was good, especially our omelets. Our waitress was a really fun gal and took good care of us. Finally, you couldn't be any closer to the airport. I will definitely stay ... Read more

After a day of wine tastings and site seeing, it felt great to be able to relax for a bit in our room and then visit the restaurant for a tasty snack and a night cap. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't realize until the morning that we had an adjustable bed! Our traveling companions had played with theirs and loved it. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We are vegetarians, and tree were plenty of options for us to eat. Our stay was very nice

Older property but in reasonable condition. Restaurant atmosphere and quality of food was only mediocre. Don't do the bangers and mash it's horrible. Needs elevators at the far end of the property. It's a long way to walk from the front

Heat was turned on every night, making rooms too warm. I had no control over my heating/cooling. Desk clerk said that she would report it to repairman; then next night, a different desk clerk said that it was turned on at night. I had my control set on "cool" down to 64 degrees, and I was uncomfortably warm at morning.

I was disappointed by this hotel and the, obvious, age of it's decor and construction. The room entrances are all exterior--anyone can have access to your room. This was very disappointing. The room was fair, but also older in style and feel. Personally, it was unfortunate since I love Hilton properties--I won't stay at this one again. Also, breakfast does not support early departures from the airport--it starts at 0700. Close to the airport if that is what you need--just a place to lay yo... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Each time I have been very pleased. It is extremely convenient and they offered 24 hour shuttle service to and from the airport. As a whole and gold member, I was also given coupons for free cocktails and breakfast, but unfortunately I was not able to use either one because of my late check in an early check out.
