Reception area had a very cool feel and so did the employee working there. This hotel is right across the street from U of A. It has a college type feel to it. Rooms feel like a glorified dorm room. Nice bar, pool table in lounge. Food area where you can't purchase food, snacks and fresh fruit. Right across the street you had Boston market and subway. Also, there was a nice steakhouse/bar across the street but very crowded and noisy with college students. I didn't like the rooms at first but the... Read more

Booked this hotel during the Gem show time in Tucson. Aloft was the cheapest hotel with great amenities and a modern design. Staff was excellent and bent over backwards to assist, just watch out for the guard dog Honey! Lol! No seriously they have a Chihuahua on staff. I highly recommend if you are in town for a hip nice hotel then this is the spot.

This hotel has a great location for visiting the U of A campus and it was an ideal spot for my stay as the conference I was attending was only a few blocks away. That being said, you pay for the location - quite a bit more than you would for a similar quality hotel elsewhere. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance too. Unfortunately, the room I was in was facing the street and it was VERY loud! It seems that for the price of this hotel, they must have used very cheap mat... Read more

Of course every one has had their bad stays with hotels, but I can definitely say this is my worst experience ever! When we got checked in, turns out they checked us into a room that was already occupied! The young guy was very nice about it, but it was still an inconvenience that took about 20-30 minutes to fix which had us push back our dinner reservation. My card was held for the full amount during the stay, which was fine. Turns out they ended up giving me my money back after check out and i... Read more

This hotel is located on the intersection of two busy streets and sits diagonally across the intersection from the health science campus of the University of Arizona (the campus is in an L shape with the health science campus on the top of the L). There is a lot of traffic noise that despite the heavy glass windows, was very apparent in my room facing Speedway street (street name should tell you all you need to know). The adjacent streets contain a variety of fast food restaurants and a 7 Elev... Read more

Stayed at this property for 3 nights while my mother was in the hospital and the staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Edward went above and beyond! He is an asset to your hotel and deserves praise and a raise!! Thank you Aloft Tucson for the wonderful hospitality! Rooms were clean and hotel is located near great amenities.

I like the modern concept of this hotel. But, I encountered many problems: 1. You cannot adjust the shower temperature from outside the shower before you step in, unless you have super long arms. This is because of a poor design with a glass door located too far from the faucet. 2. Shower door is not water tight at all. So, you get a river in the bathroom. 3. Air conditioning is super loud, as is the plumbing. 4. Dogs in the food area. I get that this hotel allows dogs. But why are they allowed ... Read more

First the good and great. Great location walkable to The University of Arizona. Nice modern W-like design. Corridors were clean and nicely lit. Elevators were fast. Aloft is right next to charming/funky Sam Hughes 1920s Historic Neighborhood. I do like the W-Hotel-Light concept. Not as luxurious or bold, but a much lower rate. Fine. My husband and I appreciate efficiency and clean design over fancy and luxurious. We enjoyed the well laid out room with multipurpose spaces and the hot shower with ... Read more

If your goal is to waste money on an up-market trendster hotel that is run with all the competence of a youth hostel, you've found the right place. Knowing I was arriving late I called Aloft Tucson University to explain. "Yeah, no worries" he says without even asking for my name or reservation. Arriving the receptionist had no clue what tariff I was booked under. Next morning I am awoken by someone trying to get me to check-out, despite having checked in the previous night for three days. There ... Read more
