With the exception of a couple of staff members my stay met my expectations. The courtyard is very nice and relaxing. The food is just okay but the hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants.

My husband and I really enjoyed our first and one night stay. Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The only downfall was the loud patrons when we were sleeping but you will find that anywhere. We highly recommend/

My recent stay at this hotel was very nice. The purpose of the trip was business classes that were held at the resort in their conference center. The conference center was nice & clean. They had a break shack with snacks & drinks that was open from 7am till 5:30 p.m. a little after the days classes were over. Super nice to have during the long meetings. They had a breakfast & lunch buffet that was good with lots of selection. The other restaurants & foods were good. Room service was handy. The r... Read more

Please note: we did not stay at the hotel overnight, but spent multiple days at a conference. The Tempe Mission Palms was a fantastic host to our large conference (300+) people! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the conference rooms were always clean and well restocked after breaks and we loved the convenient cabana-style convenience shop in the courtyard. Additionally, we had a couple after hours events at the hotel including hosted bar and musicians in the courtyard on evening (deli... Read more

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room service was fantastic. And all the staff in the building were very kind. The room was very organized when I arrived . And the nearby stores and shops are very nice and convinient. The hotel is very well placed near Mill Avenue, where there is an abundance of wonderful restaurants. It is impossible not to have a beautiful stay here. I will definitely be back next year. And I will definitely recommend this place to ny friends and family.

Resort hotel in the heart of downtown Tempe. Certainly no need to drive to eat or entertain as there are literally dozens of options within easy walking distance. Also borders ASU and the light rail has 2 stations within a block of the hotel. (2 dollar fare from the airport.) The hotel itself is splendidly maintained and is unique in its beauty. Tremendous pool area and above average fitness room. Incredibly friendly staff and the rooms are quite and well cared for. I've stayed here many times ... Read more

Considering this was for work. I was overall happy with the experience. The air conditioning in my room didn't work, they sent someone right up to fix it but I don't know that it was ever truly right. However the room was still comfortable in temp so I wasn't too overly worried. Otherwise good experience.

This hotel sits right in the middle of everything going in in Tempe. The rates were reasonable, the rooms were clean and well appointed, but the staff was just simply superb! They were knowledgeable about directions, places to eat and even arranged a late check out. But, best of all, I left my passport in the safe- hotel security retrieved it, and Mr. Auto had one of the bellman rush it to the airport for me! Outstanding! Thank you Mission Palms and you have a customer for life!

The hotel is nice but on Sunday it was supposed to be a pool party but they closed the pool down. Very disappointed. It was a salsa event and I didn't want to dance in the hot sun of 118 degrees without the pool. It's ridiculous that the staff nor management handled this issue poorly. Not sure if I would come back, the pool is the only main attraction they have and it's closed down that day with no one to resolve the issue quickly? That's unacceptable.

Wrong room wasted time. Valets loss of my keys for hours next morning made me late to business meeting next morning & cost me money (cab fare).. No follow up from any manager to sooth me, allay my fears.. Feeling disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel.

I like everything about this place: location (nearby hiking & parks), the staff (super friendly), the price (summer specials), the hotel options: a large and welcoming pool area, great restaurant choices, a central courtyard, active meeting rooms, inviting social areas inside, the spacious rooms) We were allowed to bring our dog which for us was a deal-maker. We had nothing but excellent reactions to her from both guests and staff!

They have an airport shuttle be sure to get the number from the hotel as it isn't posted on the display at the airport for all the other hotel shuttles. I would stay here anytime on business or personal travel. The people were incredibly helpful and made the stay great.

The hotel is very nice. Three stars because the rooms are a little cramped. I think the room would be fine for 2 people but for 4 it was a little tight. The bathroom is also small, maybe the size of a nice walk-in closet. Homeless problem on Mills is a little out of control, but that is not the fault of the hotel.

The rooms have deteriorated since I've started coming here in the last 16 years. There is less drawer space, not enough outlets for electronic devices, and prices rising but no corresponding increase in quality. Up to now very good. Now, It took a hour to fix my bill because we(2 others) were over charged and the desk clerk said this was because of the new procedure on their computer systems. Last yr., 5 min. for check out under same conditions. No manager available to talk to???. So, after a h... Read more

Every year the Palms hosts the ConsimWorld Expo, a gathering of wargamers (the League of Pear-Shaped Gentlemen) playing games too big and long for the home. Great fun and Sandy has been instrumental in making this happen. This year has been even better because there is no noise (rock or heavy metal music) emanting from across the street on weekends.

We stayed at this property in oder to view the July 4th fireworks at Tempe Town Lake. The hotel staff was friendly and prompt. Our only complaint was that smoking was allowed poolside. There were many other guests smoking at the pool. As a nonsmoking patron this was bothersome. My husband asked the staff if smoking was allowed at the pool and they verified it was permitted. It was just surprising to be sitting on a lounge chair next to a person smoking as young children played in the same a... Read more

The motel has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The view of the 4th of July fireworks at Town Lake from the motel rooftop balcony was great. We liked the relatively quiet air-conditioner in our room. The Grill restaurant lacked an authentic Mission/Phoenix/Southwest atmosphere. It was contempo-modern, but would probably draw more customers if you would develop the "Mission" theme, like mission-style furniture, old mission-style stucco walls and décor, etc. The few potted palms in the restaurant... I was at the Mission Palms for a convention and was very happy with both the service and setting of the hotel. The staff was consistently helpful and friendly. I experienced no real problems but when I mentioned what type of room I had asked for in my reservation 6 months before, the check in staff was quick to get it right. I would recommend this hotel to anyone having business meetings (under 200) and for any visit to Tempe for a couple, family or individual.

Located just off of the popular Mill Avenue is the beautiful Mission Palms. They offer a few options for food on property which I only took advantage of breakfast, but everything was excellent. The staff all around was helpful and polite. I just wish I could have slept in my bed better, but who needs sleep when their is so much to do around you.

Very nice hotel with excellent service, reasonable prices and good location in downtown Tempe near ASU. Room service was excellent and Mission Grille for breakfast also very good. Extremely friendly staff throughout hotel. We got a $100 summer voucher to use on food and drinks which was really nice. We got 5 meals with it only needing to add $10 to the tab. Very convenient to ASU and other Tempe attractions. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Just off of Mill Ave in Tempe, AZ the location was right for walking around. In the middle of the summer break there evening foot traffic was light. The hotel and Groupon have current summer deals as low as $82.00 a night and some with food/beverage vouchers, which can come in handy as the dining is just above average, as expected. The complimentary valet is awesome, if you don't use it you have to park all the way around the back of the hotel and truck it back to the entrance. It the summer ... Read more

This is the first time we've been here and we will absolutely return! The service is on point and the rooms are really nice. This particular time of year isn't too busy.
