My recent stay at this hotel was very nice. The purpose of the trip was business classes that were held at the resort in their conference center. The conference center was nice & clean. They had a break shack with snacks & drinks that was open from 7am till 5:30 p.m. a little after the days classes were over. Super nice to have during the long meetings. They had a breakfast & lunch buffet that was good with lots of selection. The other restaurants & foods were good. Room service was handy. The r... Read more

Please note: we did not stay at the hotel overnight, but spent multiple days at a conference. The Tempe Mission Palms was a fantastic host to our large conference (300+) people! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the conference rooms were always clean and well restocked after breaks and we loved the convenient cabana-style convenience shop in the courtyard. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room service was fantastic. And all the staff in the building were very kind. The room was very organized when I arrived . And the nearby stores and shops are very nice and convinient. The hotel is very well placed near Mill Avenue, where there is an abundance of wonderful restaurants. It is impossible not to have a beautiful stay here. I will definitely be back next year. And I will definitely recommend this place to ny friends and family.

Resort hotel in the heart of downtown Tempe. Certainly no need to drive to eat or entertain as there are literally dozens of options within easy walking distance. Also borders ASU and the light rail has 2 stations within a block of the hotel. (2 dollar fare from the airport.) The hotel itself is splendidly maintained and is unique in its beauty. Tremendous pool area and above average fitness room. Incredibly friendly staff and the rooms are quite and well cared for. I've stayed here many times ... Read more

Considering this was for work. I was overall happy with the experience. The air conditioning in my room didn't work, they sent someone right up to fix it but I don't know that it was ever truly right. However the room was still comfortable in temp so I wasn't too overly worried. Otherwise good experience.

This hotel sits right in the middle of everything going in in Tempe. The rates were reasonable, the rooms were clean and well appointed, but the staff was just simply superb! They were knowledgeable about directions, places to eat and even arranged a late check out. But, best of all, I left my passport in the safe- hotel security retrieved it, and Mr. Auto had one of the bellman rush it to the airport for me! Outstanding! Thank you Mission Palms and you have a customer for life!

The hotel is nice but on Sunday it was supposed to be a pool party but they closed the pool down. Very disappointed. It was a salsa event and I didn't want to dance in the hot sun of 118 degrees without the pool. It's ridiculous that the staff nor management handled this issue poorly. Not sure if I would come back, the pool is the only main attraction they have and it's closed down that day with no one to resolve the issue quickly? That's unacceptable.

I like everything about this place: location (nearby hiking & parks), the staff (super friendly), the price (summer specials), the hotel options: a large and welcoming pool area, great restaurant choices, a central courtyard, active meeting rooms, inviting social areas inside, the spacious rooms) We were allowed to bring our dog which for us was a deal-maker. We had nothing but excellent reactions to her from both guests and staff!

The hotel is very nice. Three stars because the rooms are a little cramped. I think the room would be fine for 2 people but for 4 it was a little tight. The bathroom is also small, maybe the size of a nice walk-in closet. Homeless problem on Mills is a little out of control, but that is not the fault of the hotel.

We stayed at this property in oder to view the July 4th fireworks at Tempe Town Lake. The hotel staff was friendly and prompt. Our only complaint was that smoking was allowed poolside. There were many other guests smoking at the pool. As a nonsmoking patron this was bothersome. My husband asked the staff if smoking was allowed at the pool and they verified it was permitted. The motel has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The view of the 4th of July fireworks at Town Lake from the motel rooftop balcony was great. We liked the relatively quiet air-conditioner in our room. The Grill restaurant lacked an authentic Mission/Phoenix/Southwest atmosphere. It was contempo-modern, but would probably draw more customers if you would develop the "Mission" theme, like mission-style furniture, old mission-style stucco walls and décor, etc. The few potted palms in the restaurant... Overall an exceptional experience. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent service. Hotel accommodated a late check out that was most helpful as I needed to keep medication refrigerated until my departure. Very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Despite having the option to pay with points at the Marriott across the street, I always find myself opting for Tempe Mission Palms. The price : value just can't be beat considering the level of amenities and quality of staff.

We wanted to eat at the hotel 1 1/2 hours prior to the ASU game, however once seated the waitress said she didn't know if we would make it to the game and she said 'I don't know ... the kitchen is really backed up! Really!?!? Also, we had 3 guests in our room (as stated in reservation) but housekeeping only left 2 washcloths each day!

Located pretty much right on ASU's campus. Extremely convenient to the airport and walking distance to a very nice selection of restaurants and bars. I traveled there for business. Will absolutely stay again. Safe, very clean, reasonable price $199/nt, warmly greeted by front desk personnel, nice room service quality, nicely appointed rooms. Not a luxury hotel, but reminded me of a good quality Marriott (which is a compliment!)

After staying here I would never recommend another hotel in this area. The staff were friendly and helpful, even the waitress at breakfast remembered us and came to talk to us the few mornings we were there. Truly made us feel welcomed. Hopefully will get the opportunity to return someday.

I booked this hotel because the design intrigued me. The courtyard with its tall palm trees, fountains, and seated lounge areas was all I hoped it would be. The location was PERFECT. Five minutes from great shopping, lots and lots of restaurants both chain and original and right at the base of the iconic A mountain. I only experienced a small fraction of all this location offers.

The employees were exceptional and met every need that I had - fantastic bartender and front desk and shuttle staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. I found the room to be very clean and have all the amenities that I would desire.

First, I want to start by saying this property is very nice. Cool hotel that is very nicely maintained. Big, clean, and well furnished rooms, awesome pool area to hang out in, and for the most part, friendly and helpful staff . Great deal for what you get, especially for valet parking included in he room rate (you NEVER see that!). Certainly beat staying in a typical chain place. However, we did have some issues. We booked our room through the hotel's website and got the Summer Scorcher packa... Read more

Beautiful hotel! Although I was there for a conference, the total atmosphere made it seem like a vacation. The palms are beautiful whether in daylight or moonlight. Great food! I especially appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport. There was not a microwave in the room to go along with the refrigerator, upon asking, one was delivered to my room free of charge. The location is convenient to the light rail and restaurants. I would stay there again.

The Pros - Great staff, nice rooms, restaurant and lounge open late with nice outside seating. The only con is the noise issue - directly under the airport flight pattern, one side of the hotel has an extremely loud bar until 2:00 AM, and a party pad for the younger set on the weekends.

often when you are at a conference setting it is difficult to get a personalized service - Tempe Mission Palms team made my stay a great one - there is no rushing and fussing around you they provide a service that you don't realize is happening around you and everything you need is there and more - it appears a very well thought out and managed guest experience by this hotel. I would go back and I would recommend this hotel to others. Great Job hotel manager and all your people.

Nice hotel. Excellent, friendly staff. Really noisy room by the ice/vending machines and elevators kept me awake most of the night. The "Snack Shacks" available to the conference attendees were AMAZING! Great selection!

Very attractive and friendly hotel; the staff goes beyond to meed guest needs. However - if the hearth surrounds on the 2 outdoor fireplaces are still there, BEWARE when walking near them, especially in the dark. They are not well lit, especially if you are coming from a brightly lighted area into the courtyard at night. Trip and fall is very possible!
