A two hour drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport found us at this 40 room motel. We booked a king size room with fireplace on the second floor and were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was clean, had a flat screen tv, free wifi, mini fridge, microwave and the bed was very comfortable. We were within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants and breakfast cafe and were completely surrounded by the breath taking red rock formations. There is a pool on the property but it was a b... Read more

We arrived from the uk unfortunately our luggage did not! Nick could not have been more helpful and despite us moving on after 1 night he ensured our cases were delivered to our next stop. A great little place and a visit to the local bar PJ's is an absolute must. Thank you Nick we couldn't recommend you and the desert quail highly enough :-)

I'm told there was a remodel at this inn recently. The room was wonderful, spacious and very well appointed. The hotel is great value for the Sedona area. No free breakfast and the pool is just a bit small, but well located. Get a room on the second floor for more quiet.

We stayed at the Desert Quail Inn for three nights last week. The king bed room on the 2nd floor was very clean, quiet and very moderate in price for Sedona. No special views. It is in area where there are several cafes and restaurants, but a 15 minute drive into Sedona where all the shops are. Across the street were the Sedona Outlet Shops which appeared to be suffering from low occupancy. No breakfast is served so we relied on a nearby bakery and cafe for our breakfasts. The pool/hot tub are... Read more

Lovely little inn by the roadside. The rooms were quite spacious and look to have been remodeled in the past couple years. They did a great job on the remodel ... comfortable king bed, nicely painted, great flat screen with Directv, little office area, nice sofa seating area. The bathroom was clean with nice shower but the designer got a toilet that was too big and the door had to be notched out to close which we didn't mind we just thought it was funny.

The rooms have everything that you need including microwave and refrigerator and coffee and super clean. It's about 6-7 miles from downtown Sedona but if you have a car it's not a problem. The stuff is very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Beds were comfortable and room was well kept. A generally good room with only minor cosmetic issues (things you could find anywhere). It is next door to one of the best breakfast places in Sedona. Enjoyed our brief stay and the mgmt was helpful with local attractions.

Great location near the red rocks and lots of hiking nearby. Great that a good cafe with discounts for breakfast is yet behind the hotel and a really good super market. The rooms are very nice, clean, and have all the conveniences including a refrigerator and microwave and cable tv. The beds are comfy and my family was able to book joining rooms. The only drawback was joining rooms for families have to be booked directly through the hotel not through Expedia or another website. Otherwise great f... Read more

My Husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Desert Quail Inn while touring Sedona it is in a beautiful location. The Hotel is exceptionally clean the rooms are nicely decorated. The linens were soft and smelled fresh. The beds were very comfortable. We used the pool which was very clean and they provide towels right at the pool. It was a much needed relief for the 102 temps we had while we were there. Room had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee make. There is a Cafe and Supermarket just a few... Read more

Basic, very clean hotel. But very comfortable with mini fridge and microwave. My husband and I stayed here over the weekend for a conference that I had. For some reason, the first room we were in made us feel sick - sore throat, congested, etc. Now mind you we were already a little sick - so I'm not quite sure if it was that or something else. The room just felt stuffy for some reason. We talked to the front desk staff the second day, as we still had another night/day there. He was more than hel... Read more

We recently were in Sedona to celebrate our anniversary and stayed at the Desert Quail Inn. This inn is located a short distance from Sedona and is a great and reasonable place to stay. The rooms are large, very clean and it is obvious that the owner really cares about his customers. Just a very short walk from the inn is a delicious restaurant to enjoy breakfast with a discount for staying at the inn. We will definitely returned to this little gem in Sedona --- the Desert Quail Inn!

This was a chance play for us. We had driven in from Las Vegas at around 9PM, pulled into a restaurant parking lot and then started looking for a hotel. Honestly, we went to the Desert Quail Inn because there was virtually nowhere else to go. We were so pleased the moment we walked in because it was so spacious and very clean. The best part was a toss up between the Jacuzzi-style tub and the bed. Both are of excellent quality and rendered fantastic results. Because there was a refrigerator in th... Read more

All the amenities you could need are very close by - supermarket, great cafe for breakfast (Red Rock Cafe), post office, clothing, restaurants/take outs and a tourist centre. Our rooms cost $130, no discount for AAA or AARP. This is a very good price for the area. The layout is motel fashion with outside steps and doors opening to the parking lot. The room was large and clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. THe desk clerk was friendly. She recommended Miley's for dinner and the Red Rock Cafe for breakfast. Both were excellent.

We needed an overnight stay before we headed back to flagstaff to do a sunrise hike up Humphreys. Clean, comfortable stay. Located next to food and pharmacy. We found out also that if you stay directly in the "city" of Sedona it is a 13% tax fee instead of staying 10 minutes outside (still in Sedona) for a 6% tax. Staying at the Desert Quail will be the 6% tax and you have beautiful views of the rockscape. The only con was our rooms bathroom needed a little TLC. It was clean! But the walls and t... Read more

All of the positive reviews are spot on. We stayed here last week and could not be happier with our choice of this hotel while visiting Sedona. The motel is located just a few scenic miles south of Sedona and is actually closer to many hiking trails than Sedona. The rooms were larger than most chain hotels and were very clean and modern. The IGA grocery store located behind the motel was very convenient. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Sedona.

I did not enjoy my stay an Desert Quail Inn and I got poor value for the money I paid. I had to pay extra for a roll-a-way cot. The rooms were clean, but old looking, and had a bungalow smell. The only perk was the it was a minute walk away from a large, well-stocked grocery, so it was easy for me to buy food. Also, there is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, make sure to request a room on the first floor. Shoppers may want to stay here because it is across the street from an outlet ma... The Desert Quail Inn was perfectly located, reasonably priced, very very clean and comfortable (for what is ostensibly a motel) and staffed with knowledgable and kind people! We have stayed here a number of times and it is good for a night or two. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the owner is very friendly and helpful. If you stay during the week the price is one of the best in the area. The only complaint I have is that on the second floor in the summer the AC comes on and freezes us and then goes off and the room gets hot. In the summer the first floor is best.

It's everything what you are looking for when you're passing through a town: clean comfortable bed and good shower to rest and be reenergized and continue with your journey.
