This resort has it all. Nice rooms, casino, restaurants, and large pool. Staff was pretty good and helpful. Rooms were very modern and clean. Didn't like the smoke in the casino but you get used to it quick. Pool is huge and caters to the younger crowd with live DJ which was a great feature that makes the pool the place to hang out. Definitely be back to Talking Stick. They offer a free shuttle to old town Scottsdale as well.

We ate at the Blue Sky a couple of times. The service is good and the food is excellent. Took my daughter there for her birthday and the special birthday dessert was lovely. Be sure to make a reservation for sunset time to complete the enjoyment.

Got a room with mountain view and it was gorgeous. Very reasonable for the price and one of the best bathtubs I've ever had the pleasure of being in. Super nice a accommodations. We had a view of the pool too which is open 24 hours.

Talking Stick is a large resort on the outskirts of Scottsdale. It has a very busy Casino, a couple of Golf Courses and a couple of Pool areas for sunbathing if it isn't unbearably hot. On site are several bars and restaurants ranging from from expensive to HOWMUCH! ( the exchange rate was really bad). We booked a superior room with a balcony and it was huge and really well equipped. If staying again I would recommend a car as ytaxis in Scottsdale are like hens teeth and also expensive. Being ... This hotel and casino is awesome! They are very visual with lights and have plenty of games on the casino floor. However if you are traveling with a family as well it works, the pool is amazing (there are a few) and even one that is wading length with lounging chairs. Cabanas available (when it isnt busy you can have access to them as far as when I was there). The rooms are gorgeous! Also at the cafe downstairs my husband said he had the best pancakes of his life!! Beware tho, their key card dea... Read more

So my wife and I wanted to change things up a bit and came across this place. The reviews looked good, and since we like to gamble and have a pool scene, it seemed to make sense, so we booked the trip and gave a shot, and let me tell you, it was pretty cool. The casino is on the main floor and is very modern in its décor and lay out. This is a Native American casino, so there are only virtual dice and roulette, but all the card games are present. Over all it wasn't as smoky as I feared that it ... Read more

As a couple my wife and I visited Talking Stick Resort for a holiday weekend. Not gamblers except for Fantasy Football we didn't know what to expect from a resort where gaming is front and center. Also we're nonsmokers who hate, I repeat hate cigarette smoke and we had read some nasty reviews about the smell of smoke in this place. Well I managed to not loose one lousy dime gambling because I didn't play and the smoke well yes standing next to someone smoking I got my share of secondhand smoke, ... Read more

We got our phone but they acted like we were bothering them. Also when you cash your tickets out the machines will not give your change back 3 of us only got back tickets to play back into the machines one of the st... Read more

We came from out of state for a 50th Birthday Party. Even with a group room rate, it's still about $200.00 a night. Didn't get our king room even though we booked the room almost 5 months earlier. Our 2 queen room was nice and clean. The only problem is the walls are like paper thin. You can hear people in the next room and in the halls, I realize it's a casino hotel. But people can get super loud. On to the resort as a whole: nice place, friendly staff, good restaurants. The concierge gentl... Read more

Our room was great. It was very comfortable, contempory, clean, and the bathroom is huge. I never got a chance to use the amenities (spa, pool, gym, etc.). Car parking is free, The Casino area is very smoky at night. I wish the ventilation was better.

My husband was attending a 4 day conference and I had a fews days to relax. We were very happy with the accommodations, the facilities, the food and the room. (We don't gamble, so can't give an opinion there) Room was nice, well kept, clean and comfortable. Security station at the entrance to the hotel from the casino. Someone was always on duty there. Did not feel unsafe in any way, but this did keep access to the rooms, for the hotels guests only. Rooms were nice. Look at the pictures on... Read more

Wife and I just spent our anniversary night at Talking Stick Resort and I am sorely disappointed. I don't normally write reviews but felt this one needed it. Some info on us: middle aged couple looking to get a night away from the kiddos and lay out by the pool in the AM. 1) You have to walk through the casino to get to your room. I'll take some blame on this as I didn't realize this was the layout before booking. You might be okay with this though, especially if you like the smell of smok... Read more

This hotel had some good points and had some bad points. Let's start with the bad points. Smoking in casino and needs more ventilation for that. Some of the clientele where party hard and a bit trashy. Drunks everywhere, loud at the pool and rooms late at night. Drinks at bars waaaay over priced but we'll served....not weak that's for sure. Time to relax at pool limited because of pool parties, djs, etc. Overall service was sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow and some staff where rude/miserab... Read more

Super friendly staff and very clean environment; they maintain the place well. Room design is simple and modern in a comfortable way. Bathroom is nicely sized with an awesome shower and really nice tub that is not so big that you can't get into it. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Poolside service is excellent. Gambling area was nice and tables are clean. Did not try the buffet but heard it was excellent.

After spending 4 days at Enchantment in Sedona I figured we would have a little reality check here. Though not Enchantment we were surprised at how nice everything was. We had a club level room with a great enclosed patio. Room was spacious and immaculate, everything was accessible. Staff were helpful and courteous.

As other reviews have mentioned, the customer service at Talking Stick is lacking to say the least. I am a local to Scottsdale and rented this room for my sons to have a place to stay after celebrating their 22nd birthday with the family at the hotel property. My son was later accused of some vague misbehavior by security, escorted to his room and kept there by hotel staff. Apparently, since the property is on an Indian Reservation, false imprisonment is an acceptable response to a complaint. My... Read more

We booked 2 rooms for the family to watch a firework's show across the street. Found out the day of the stay that the firework's show was cancelled. Got in line at the hotel to check-in at 3:30 and got up to one of the 4 receptionists at 3:50. We were told one of the rooms was ready and the other was not. We were not given keys to the room that was supposedly ready. We asked why the other room was not ready and we were told they were "understaffed." It was now 4:00 and I pointed out that t... Purchased tickets facing the stage and was relocated to seats that weren't facing the stage-not an action of talking stick, I think not anyway. $15 parking. A little slow in getting traffic cleared in comparison to Chase Field. Clean arena. Bathrooms were well stocked and monitored. Especially important for a female :) Food is overpriced of course. $6.50 for a bottle of water that they open and pour into a cup. My server touched my ice with her bare hand and refused to get me a fresh drink.

Checked in for 3 night stay. 1st day, checked in, went to room, found a few crawling and dead bugs in bathroom. Stepped on them and figured problem solved. Went out to casino and enjoyed our time, returned to room and went to bed. 2nd day, when we got up in morning the bathroom with light colored floor tile was crawling with 100+ bugs - have no clue how many were on darker carpet. We had the pleasure of staying in an executive king room facing the mountains to the west. Huge balcony and views from the windows are spectacular. 7th floor level is perfect. We have stayed here before but decided to book a romantic couples nite and it was definitely worth it. I booked a night after the Armin van Buuren Release pool party. The room was on Club Level 2 which is actually the 13th floor. The room and all its related features are very nicely appointed. It wasn't the cleanest of rooms and their welcome gift fell flat since I'm gluten-free due to an allergy. I wasn't able to sleep at all during the night due to the neighbors. Spent two days at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. Went to play poker and they have a great poker room. Better than Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Had a great room with a view of the desert. Staff is friendly, but different from Vegas. I had to pay for drinks while playing and in Vegas you don't. Aside from that, great poker room. If you like playing poker and are in the area, go. This picture was taken from my balcony at the resort.

A fabulous resort. We went up for the Happy Together Tour, a concert of 60's bands. The bands were great but the indoor venue is not conducive to good acoustics. The hotel rooms are beautiful with excellent amenities. The checkin process is abominable however. Long lines, not enough staff and the checkin center is hidden away in an alcove so easy to miss. Checkout is the same tedious process. Plan for 30 mins each just to checkin and checkout. Friendly accommodating staff. Loud young cr... Read more
