The room at the Double Tree was very nice. We were upstairs in a good sized room with outdoor balcony (2 chairs and small table), two queen beds, a nice bathroom. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. This is my second time there and I would stay again. The only downside for me was that the walk from the car to the room was either up a flight of stairs and a short walk or valet park, take an elevator near the lobby and a long walk to the room. Since I have some foot issues, this wasn't ... Read more

The Doubletree Paradise Valley is a sprawling two story nine building resort. There is a central registration area with ample bar area, business center and restaurant. The rooms are well appointed, clean, roomy and comfortable. Make sure you choose one closer to the central area, as it is a trek to the farthest rooms. I was attending a conference and had a perfect location, free wifi and buffet breakfast as a Hilton Honors member. I would stay there again.

The Maintenance guy Bebe stopped us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Then we were moved to the Building 5000 and the south pool was right out our patio door. The property is huge so there is a lot of walking but we did not mind. All of the employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. We ate at the restaurant for two Breakfasts and o... Read more

Most of the rooms surround and overlook pools, fountains or courtyards, each of which are very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It's a bit of a hike from the lobby to the rooms furthest away, but a very pleasurable walk. Take the walk through the courtyards rather than the hallway/walkways and enjoy the beauty of Nature. Two thumbs up!

This is not like other Double-Tree hotels. It is built on a sprawling 22 acres rather than vertically. The complex is only 2 stories high (units are either on the ground floor or on the upper level). Rooms are over-sized. Facilities include tennis court, swimming pool, full gym, spa, and convention center. Main building has a full-service restaurant and bar. Looks like Hilton took over this property and renovated it. Only down-size is that all rooms are accessed directly from the exterior ... Read more

This is our go-to hotel when visiting Scottsdale. I gave the "very good" rating due to a convenient location & good value. This hotel is close to many restaurants and the Fashion mall. The employees from the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping are pleasant and professional. The room was clean and had crisp bedsheets, thick fresh towels. This hotel offers good value. I personally found that the receptionist during my check in at night, was not very service mind, nor accurate in showing the map to my room. Given the very big building and huge location of the resort, my first time with the hotel, not knowing my way around, she drew the map to get to my room, but only draw it to the wrong room. I ended up couldn't find my room, came back to the reception. She said she knew this place is a maze, but not her fault. No apology.

The hotel was nice and quiet. The staff were VERY friendly. We were celebrating our honeymoon and I indicated that on the reservation. I thought they would make a point of recognizing us as honeymooners but that didn't happen. The rooms were nice but the TV's and the beds could use some upgrading.

I had a nice stay at this property, while not perfect it is in good condition and the staff are generally very friendly. During the day the grounds look great and are well kept. The inner courtyard and exterior grounds are a little creepy and night and could benefit by some better landscape lighting. The check-in was awful. We had someone that was in-training and it showed. She fought me because I tried to check-in (oh my!) 45 minutes early. Their check-in is at 4PM. I'm a Hilton Honors Gold member and they had a lower class of room that I wanted and she was very unpleasant and didn't smile once. I can wait for anything you ask me to wait for if you do it nicely! 5 days of meetings were made comfortable by this resort hotel. Ample spaces for large and small groups and restaurant/bar next to the lobby made it easy to stop and visit with colleagues. My room was first floor, fronting the north pool, close to the restaurant and meeting rooms. Hard surfaces (tile, tub, etc) were a bit worn, but it was slated for renovation the day after I departed. Our room was spacious and it had a nice big desk to use as a make-up area. The bathroom was spacious too with good counter space and the shower was OK. The only things I had a problem with were the closer doors and the room door. Both stuck so much that I had to use my shoulder to get the room door open and i had to lift up one of the closet doors to get the other one opened.

The bedroom had a tv to the side..kind of awkward. Was nice and quiet but it was a maze just trying to get around the grounds. Lower price hotel but still had a large bedroom. We opened our door to a wall and sink though..wasn't a great entry way into the room. For the cheaper price plus the free breakfast wasn't bad...NOT a romantic hotel though. Plus our room was a shared room with a door in the middle to our neighbors...not too fond of that.

Came here for a convention and I was never really aware of this place despite even living in Phoenix for a 5 year span. It is a quiet turn off of Scottsdale road without a big, grandiose entrance.
