The kids decides to stay here instead of driving to Sedona. We arrived on Wednesday 6/1 for a 1 day stay. I tried to get the Groupon to stay 2 days but unfortunately I was to late in buying it. Checkin was at 4pm. However we were told we could arrive early to swim or use the Waterpark until our room was ready, which we did not have to. They let us check in to our room as soon as we arrived. We relaxed for a bit went to the water park. Unfortunately there was a company function that evening so we... Read more

This was our second time visiting the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa. We stayed in one of the villas, which was like a home away from home. 2 bedrooms, full size kitchen and living room, gave us plenty of room during our stay. Walking distance to South Mountain for beautiful morning hikes, and close proximity to the numerous restaurants/bars for nighttime entertainment. Will definitely be back!

I travel with a friend and got a Villa in front of the Golf Pond, The water noise at night, the weather was amazing and the most important, the service was outstanding. Starting with one of the Managers (Darrell) and continued with Ashley at the front desk, she greeted me with a smile, it was quick and professional. When we arrived at the room we were super tired and the attention to details was great. The bed extremely comfortable and like I said, the view impressive. The property can use a lit... Read more

Stayed for a business trip this past week, the hotel was so clean and so well kept. The room was very nice with a huge comfortable bed and separate living area. Everything with the room as great. The pool / water-park was amazing, great lazy river, two huge slides 100's of feet high and wave-pool. Food and drinks pool side were very good, i would recommend the fish tacos. The fitness center was the best, be sure to bring your gear and go train.

We visited the hotel this last weekend to celebrate three of our birthdays being this last week. For one, the reservations process is completely out of whack: when a guest asks for total O-T-D cost, that would include EVERYTHING. NOT EXTRA FEES THAT YOU ARE INFORMED OF WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON THE PROPERTY. My husband was booked o a Advanced Booking Special with a rate of $159 per night, when we arrived the agent (who wasn't very accommodating) said we would have to accept our rate of $219 per night. ... After weeks of researching, viewing pictures and comparing rates- my partner and I decided to book with The Arizona Grand Resort for our 7th anniversary weekend and to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. In a nut shell the customer service was below par, and our overall guest satisfaction expectations were not met. We found blood stains in the bedding, and the staff was not knowledgeable nor friendly. Certainly not what I was expecting

Lots of money was shelled out for the outdated room. This resort seems to nickle and dime you at every turn. We were locked out of our room and the front desk provided keys that still didn't solve the problem. Upon the 3rd try we finally had a solution. The Oasis was okay - again lots of money for a drink and food that you know doesn't cost much to make in the first place.

The staff was friendly, golf cart attendants on the ready to take us anywhere we wanted to go around the resort which was nice being 115 degrees that day. Stayed in a 2-bedroom villa that overlooked the golf course. Having a full kitchen allowed us to eat breakfast and lunch in the room. The water park was nice, but the hours weren't that convenient. When its 100 degrees at 7:00 at night, it would be nice to be able to go for a swim. We met some friends in Phoenix for Father's Day weekend and thought the kids would have a fun time here, so, I booked a AAA discounted room and thought the price of the room was steep for what the resort offers. The water park consists of 3 slides and a lazy river with a small wave pool. I think the resort looked nicer online. When we arrived, the line was long at check it and it was very rushed. We attended an event at the Arizona Grand in January. We have also done stay-cations here in the past. This location is a great place for water park, good food for families, resort location for event and lovely setting in a central Phoenix location. There are restaurants close but can also easily explore out to others to see the city.

Like many, the purpose of my trip to the Grand was a quick weekend getaway and water park visit. I had very little in the way of expectations, but still came away really disappointed. To begin with, the check-in process was much like that of any large resort on a Friday, slow and painful. Very nice stay at Arizona Grand! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and water park fun. Would love a breakfast/ meal option cheaper than $88 or more for family of four. Drinks at pool were good but expensive, around $8 to $14. Beer was warm, not cold enough. Family activities offered throughout the July 4th weekend, geared mostly around younger children. Our daughters are teenagers, not much offered for their age level. Gifts and souvenir shops offered nice items at reasonable prices.

We live outside Phoenix and recently spent 3 days at the Grand. It was great! The rooms are clean and nice. The name of the restaurant "Lobby Grill" is deceiving...the food was great and the portions were huge! The water park was awesome...plenty of open chairs and great service from the staff. We've made an annual tradition of spending time at The Grand because the pricing, accommodations, and service cannot be matched. Every person that we interacted with went the extra mile to make our stay a pleasant one. The moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by Loren, a bellman who was knowledgeable, kind, and funny. That set the stage for what turned out to be an awesome weekend in the sun. Room was comfortable and clean. We went for the water park, driving up from Tucson for 1 night just to do something in the extreme heat. Wanted to drift in the lazy river, but it was packed. Too many people and the river was clogged with empty tubes. Chairs were old and stained. We thought about ordering food but the prices were outrageous. Paid a $50 resort fee so what the heck? Dated rooms that are over priced. The food is outrageously expensive. I expect food to be higher that normal, but the prices at the "resort" were ridiculous. The water park was ok - no slides for under 48 inches meant our youngest child was left out. Check in was a disaster and check in staff rude. Would not return or recommend to others.

Was at this resort for a conference... on the good end, the property is well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly. On the weak end, the hotel could do a lot better job with signage. I and many others attending the same conference got lost on property multiple times. Also, check in took longer than it should have. When I looked at those doing the check in, two of the four had "trainee" badges with no trainer, right at peak check in time.

For the low price that we paid, this is a super comfortable hotel with wonderful deco. The property is large but seems small as you walk around in the quant setting. When you are on property, it seems you have gone to a desert paradise with a beautiful oasis in the middle. The hotel rooms are very comfortable. I just wish the towels were a bit more plush but that's not a deal breaker. The food in the restaurant was top tier. (Get the breakfast package when booking. Saved us $85 per day for a fam... This is a very outdated hotel. The video makes the property look a lot more plush and impressive than it really is. The a/c filter looked like it hadn't been changed in a year. The grill and the shutter doors were caked in permanent dust. The manager was nice enough to put us in another room that was cleaner. It was comfortable enough but still stuffy enough to affect our allergies. The fridge is filled with overpriced drinks, not giving you much room to add your own drinks. The restaurant and p... Outrageous $50 USD/day for internet and waterpark access. The waterpark is nice but just a large resort pool with 3 slides, not what one would consider a waterpark. Additionally food and beverage costs across the resort is astronomical. I've stayed in 5 and 4 star hotels in New York, Toronto, London and the prices are no where near what this resort charges. Consequently you will see a busy pool with lots of staff standing around the bar areas not serving anyone, this is due to the prices. A... Read more

We had tons of fun in the waterpark - there is a very long lazy river with a variety of "terrain", 3 water slides, and a very large wave pool. Additionally, there are "miniature" pools (probably 2-3 times the size of a standard hotel pool) scattered throughout the property. We had tons of fun - the kids never wanted to leave. Wish the room had a microwave. Also, we had brought snacks but because of the "mini-bar" items, we had to empty it to put our stuff in-a bit of a drag. I was there for a conference to learn and rest. Suite was clean, roomy with excellent quality mattress for a good night sleep. After hours I was heading to a gym, fully equipped, almost empty, open till 9pm and than heading to a pool for lap swim open till 10pm. Too bad I did not have time to hike and bike on the adjacent Pima Canyon. This place equally well can serve as a destination for families with kids due to multiple swimming pools and beautiful waterpark. No need to rent a car, about $20... Read more

This is not a review of the hotel because we didn't end up staying there. Be wary of extra fees with this hotel. Booked this hotel through Southwest Airlines link. We were offered a rate of about $100 night...seemed like a great deal for a nice looking hotel. After reading reviews and contacting hotel reservations, we were told in addition to regular hotel taxes and such that the hotel adds a $50 per night "resort tax". Add this to all the other hotel taxes that are normal and our rate was... Read more

We recommend this resort. Very convenient to the freeway and restaurants in Chandler. Comfortable rooms, great spa services. We did have tiny ants in our room one day, but maintenance showed up within 5 minutes to take care of the problem. Also, the ceilings are very thin, as we could hear housekeeping knocking on doors above us, causing us to wake at early hours. Other than those snags, this great, yet dated resort is one we would recommend.

We made our reservation through a third party booking site and the room was prepaid. When we checked in they charged us a $49 (plus tax) per day resort fee. We were not aware of the resort fee because we did not reserve though the hotel website. Had we known about this excessively high resort fee, we would not have chosen this hotel. The $49 resort fee included free wireless internet, admission to the Oasis Water Park, admittance to the Athletic Club, free parking, free coffee, free newspaper on... Read more

It was so packed we really unable to enjoy the oasis until others started to leave.. The pina coladas are amazing. We had a great time and we watched the fireworks on the rooftop. Rooms are big with an outside patio.

Spent 4 days here during NASCAR weekend. Wow! Beautiful family suite, clean and next to 2 pools in the sadona section. The only issue is kind of far from parking lot with all the stuff we shopped for and climbing 4 sets of steps as our closest entrance spot to room. The main pool area wasn't open but still had all day access to 2 family pools and a hot tub. Nice weather for relaxing. Drinks and appies at lounge in main lobby a little pricy but relaxing by a fire was a nice tough for our group. S... Read more

This property has potential. It seems older and needs an update to the rooms and furniture. All rooms are suites so they are pretty spacious. The resort is very spread out, be prepared to do lots of walking and to get lost. The bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom, in the bedroom, which is quite odd. Internet is free, but terrible, I was here about 3 years ago and experienced the same problems with Internet.

I stayed here for a getaway weekend with the girls in early November. The resort is a short walk to several miles of walking paths which requires wearing gym shoes or hiking boots rather than sandals as the paths are natural terrain and not paved. It is a bit of a walk from the lobby/restaurant/conference center area to the rooms, but the hotel provides golf cart type of driving service when called. The suites were nothing fancy; just basic decorating and furniture. My room had an extremely sma... Read more

My husband and I recently had our wedding ceremony and wedding reception at the AZ Grand Resort. It couldn't have been more perfect. Our wedding coordinator, Tracy, made our special day, and the days leading up to it, absolutely seamless. The resort accommodated all of our guests and they made sure everyone had a great time and they had everything they needed. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to have their wedding in one location to strongly consider the AZ Grand Resort. The resort... Read more

I went to a wedding last night at "The Grand" and it was just beautiful. The Ceremony site was so magical and the couple looked so happy. I got to meet Tracy Mueller, the Hotel planner and she was so gracious and wonderful at her job. Our entire table could not stop raving over the delicious food. What's great experience for all of us!

Went for a conference and was issued a room that had a few issues. I called the front desk about a room change, and spoke with Chelsea (maybe) ? I was exhausted and annoyed that I needed a room change after unpacking but, I had to go. I asked to be moved to an upgraded building. She told me she understood and would find me a new room. They sent a young guy with golf cart to help me with bags, though I was not certain where I was going yet. It seemed like I got the best room in the house! I s... Read more

I attended a wedding last weekend at the Arizona Grand Resort - all I can say is Absolute Perfection! From the moment I arrived, I was graciously greeted, shuttled over by one of the valet to the site of the wedding, which in and of itself was such a spectacular and amazing site. Tracy Mueller, Director of Social Catering, was there every step of the way to ensure that everything was on point and perfect. From the wedding site, to the food, and each of the staff - this wedding was divine per... Read more

We have a large family (25) and decided to celebrate our mom's 80th birthday over two days. Kate and Martha were very helpful in making arrangements. This included Martha taking time to show me some of the rooms at different locations on the property. Initially I selected one area. They arranged for eight rooms in the same location, including two deluxe suites. Martha suggested a different location with a better view and I agreed. What a great suggestion! We all had a view of the beautifu... Read more

This a beautiful place! It is a very large resort. The water park was closed while we were there which was a bummer as we still had to pay the 50+ dollars a day resort fee. The pools were decent but become shaded quickly during the day as they are located between the buildings. This faculty has a magnificent workout room. Tons of classes offered throughout the week. Lots of machines and room to work out The bar restaurant is very nice. Food was good there. Products in the market ... Read more

We are so happy we picked The Arizona Grand as the hotel for our guests attending the wedding of our daughter. The staff from the first meeting until checkout were simply the best! Absolutely everyone we dealt we was helpful and accommodating to all our questions and concerns. We heard nothing but praise from all our family and friends with the staff, rooms, and golfing. Thank you for helping make our wedding a great success.

The property was great for our kids (which is why we picked it) but honestly, the photos make it look significantly better than it does in person. Our room was on the ground floor (very dark) with no views of the property as shown in the photos. To me, it felt more like an oasis for its owners than a luxury retreat for guests. Had I specifically asked for a room with an open view of the golf course (like those in the photos), I'm sure my experience would have been much different.

Unfortunately, the water park was closed for the season while I was there. I did get to do a yoga class with instructor, Armanda Callen. She did a great job! I also enjoyed a full body massage and workout class. Both were awesome! Overall, the resort was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable.

The Arizona Grand is a beautiful resort, unfortunately the water park was closed during our stay so we really didn't understand why we still needed to pay a $50 per day resort fee. We really could have stayed at local hotel and sat around a small pool for much cheaper. The rooms we were given were rather tired although quite big with a small deck that did not have any furniture.

This hotel was not clean, we had bugs in our room all over the walls and the sink. They were all over my toothbrush. Plus the room looked dated and smelled old. Plus they charge a $49 per room per night resort fee?!? For what! We got nothing for this exorbiant fee. Ovoid this hotel unless you want to be overcharged and dirty!!! The waterpark was closed and I would never stay here again

I have not stayed at a resort or hotel where EVERY staff person went out of there way to accommodate you. I was walking back from the opposite side of the resort ( around 120 acre complex) when Dave the Electrician was finishing up his job and asked me if I needed a ride. I jumped into his golf cart. We had a very good discussion on the way to room. He was extremely respectful, patient and went out of his way to make my stay better. People like Dave gives me hope for the service industry and... We stayed here for a week for a work function. Everything was really done well. I am used to going to fairly nice places for these, but usually something is not done well. This hotel the food was very good for all of our meals they catered. We had 700 people and never waited in line for food. Snacks and drinks were always available. The rooms were very large. I never heard one peep from anyone else the rooms were so quiet! This is major for me as I am a light sleeper. The beds were com... Read more
