The hotel is comfortable and well run, surprisingly well sound insulated considering its environment next to the flight path of PHX and next to a freeway. Full breakfast included, better than average for such chain hotels. They offer free parking for up to a week for guests staying over before or after flying off somewhere. We used the offer without flying anywhere, driving from L.A. to Phoenix to take a bus tour into Mexico that used the hotel as their base point. That worked out very well.

We spent several days in the Ft. Huachuca area and had early flights from PHX so we decided to drive the day before and find a place to stay the night before. The Sleep Inn was a good price. The rooms were adequate. The front desk clerk was very helpful. They have a breakfast starting at 5AM (almost unheard of). They have a free airport shuttle 24X7 leaving every 1/2 hour (but reserve your spot.) All in all, a decent place for an overnight stay.

Good location close to the airport and across the street from upscale hotels such as Hilton. But there are no restaurants or shops, etc. within walking distance of the hotel. Very nice, large, clean room, large digital TV with good selection. comfortable bed. A few minor quibbles: The circa-1975 bathroom fixtures are badly in need of updating. The free in-room wi-fi was on the slow side. The ice machine on the second floor was very dirty, with white chalky residue all over it, and the machi... Read more

I stayed one night and caught the shuttle to the airport the next morning. The room was small, but had a comfortable bed. The bathroom had an odd, roundish shower, but it worked well enough for my needs. I did have some issues with getting my key cards to work, but the desk clerk came up and got me in my room. Overall, my interactions with the staff were ok, but not great. I decided to find a different hotel when I returned from my trip.

I stay here quite a bit when I'm in Phoenix for work because I get a decent rate.. but I can't wait to never have to come here again. The staff if the meanest and most inconsiderate people I've ever met.. not one of them is nice at the front desk. Unbelievable how they tell me I'm not a priority to be picked up and that I need to behave myself. The owner really needs to hire new and nicer people.

I flew into Phoenix late and needed a hotel close to airport. I booked a room at Sleep Inn which is close to the airport. I thought for one night it would be a good place to stop. The location was great, but....... the rooms and the hotel in general were not very clean. I was kind of disgusted on the lack of cleanliness. The shower door had stuff growing on it and the general condition of the hotel was not kept up.

Missed my connection to LA and AA put us up in this crappy motel. Needs serious renovation and the property shuttle didn't even operate as mentioned. Would never ever stay here even if AA is paying for it. Would've given negative stars if possible but that is not an option

I was put here by the Airline when my connection was missed. I arrived to a bed with stained sheets. They changed my room but the new room had a sink that didn't drain. There is a picture, taken by someone else of a backed up sink along with pictures of dirty linen on this site. I spoke to the Airlines customer service and will write them. I don't have much experience with this chain so I may or may not contact their offices.

Would have never stayed here by choice!I got dumped into the Sleep Inn by Southwest Airlines during their epic meltdown, and cannot have imagined a worse place to try to catch a few hours of sleep. The AC sounded like a plane taking off right in the room, So loud it made sleep impossible, but the heat was so oppressive that without the AC, room was an oven. Refrigerator was not working. Room was rundown, badly in need of upgrade. uncomfortqble bed. Funky bathroom. Avoid this place if you ... Read more

We utilized the Park, sleep and fly option. The room was comfortable and amazingly quiet. The shuttle was prompt and all of the staff was friendly. Another perk--the breakfast service started at 5 am--very convenient for those early flights! We would definitely stay again.

Booked three rooms for a family lay over in Phoenix while traveling East, in August 2016. When we arrived around 8:00, we found our rooms to be extremely dirty, carpets and bedding materials were stained. There was even a splintered hole in the bathroom door of one of the rooms that looked as if someone had punched the door. In another room a light fixture was hanging from exposed wires. In one of the rooms, the A/C had been turned off and the temperature was over 90 degrees. Stay somewhere... Read more

Desk clerk is the most rude guy with no customer service I seen in a hotel, I called for shuttle information and he got mad because i didnt know where door 7 was, I had to get loud and call him again. People from out of state don't know the airport or shuttle process and he doesnt help. Also, I didnt get my coutersy wake up call, I hope that the airport doesn't use this hotel any more. Rooms are ok not great.

I previously gave this hotel a good review, but based on our most recent stay, I would not book here again. Our room, 215, had several maintenance problems. The air conditioning did not work well -- it was either freezing, or barely cool, and the fan speed didn't change no matter where the dial was set. The sliding door to the bathroom was very difficult to move and screeched loudly, and the exhaust fan emitted a constant siren-like whine. We had a 6:00 a.m. flight, and breakfast was not ava... Michael, the very helpful desk clerk, put us in a renovated room because of our Gold Member status with Choice Hotels. The room was spacious with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Breakfast was full of options - waffles, eggs, sausage, tater tots, cold cereal, pastries, juice, and coffee. Breakfast staff was late one morning, so the poor desk clerk had to try and get breakfast out while still manning the desk. she did a great job while keeping a smile on her face. We would stay again.

Sleep Inn Phoenix Airport - With our son a student at ASU, we have stayed at this hotel many times. Last night we were given a "newly renovated room" and, whereas I guess the furniture was new, things like the shower fixtures were corroded, the sheets were stained, and the whole place seemed grungier than in the past. Most alarmingly, at 5 a.m. someone actually walked into our room (!!?!!). Luckily whoever it was just turned around and left, but needless to say, it did not leave us feeling r... Read more

The rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable. We like the free breakfast especially the hot eggs, sausage and tater tots. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's good for an over night stay. Very close to the airport and all major highways. The shower was good. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.

Besides the free airport Shuttle (dial 86 at the Airport Courtesy Desk) this is an abysmal hole in the desert. There is really nothing nice I can say about this place. Having been sent to this facility late at night by an airline, along with what seemed to be the rest of the 200 passengers on board, who had also lost their connecting flights. It was utter bedlam right from the very beginning. The shuttle was late and could only hold 10 people, the hotel receptionist was the only person working t... Read more

Our clerk was friendly and efficient, and the room seemed generally clean. The breakfast was ok, the eggs were warm, but the tater tots were mushy. The hallways were not clean, door push bars were falling off, one of our lights had no bulbs in it. Part of the shower door hardware was missing. Clearly maintenance is not a priority. I was somewhat surprised that the bedding appeared to be clean. I will find another hotel for future stays.

I have been staying at this property at least 5 days per month for the last 5 years. I am based at Phoenix Airport flying for a major airline. I can always count on a clean room with a comfortable bed. Air Conditioning is also important for me with very minor problems that were quickly rectified. The ride to the airport takes 5 minutes. Shuttle service runs 24 hours/day and is very frequent. Breakfast includes cereals, waffles, and other usual breakfast foods. It is available from very early in ... Read more

We have stayed here for years but haven't stayed for about a year and a half. I was shocked at the change. It's one thing for items or rooms to be outdated but for me dirty is never acceptable. The shower and sink were dirty and one of the towels were dirty. The seat on the toilet was broken. The faucets are terribly corroded. The carpeting in the room and hallways are filthy. I have always told friends and family that this is the place to stay when going to the airport but not anymore. W... Read more

We stayed Nov 29th after being rerouted and found the stay decent. The staff were friendly and our room was sufficient for our over night stay. The breakfast was good and we were surprised at the quality and variety for such a small property. I feel the people who complain should probably spend more if they want luxury treatment We do want to thank Sleep inn for a positive over night stay. The shuttle driver and reservation people were polite and efficient.
