Not worth the coin. It's secluded and it feels spa like but it's one of those places where " old money" goes. The courtyards with fire pits are nice at night. Watch out for that pool. Very small and limited seating. You need to get up early for this seat. Literally maybe 30 chairs tops

We booked with hotel with friends that were traveling with us. We needed 3 rooms and were able to get rooms in close proximity. It is a quaint hotel with dark hallways which lead to your room. The grounds were beautiful. We got lost quite often on the property, but found this fun. There was always someone there to guide us. Pool is small, and it is better to swim in the morning. By the afternoon, there are so many leaves and bees that manage to fall in. They seem to clean the pool around... Read more

Hosted a recognition trip at this hotel where we recognized our top sales performers. While the venue is small, it did not lack for attention to detail or creating a unique and wonderful experience. The sites for the cocktail party (outside in the orange grove) and casual gatherings were not for very large groups, they served our purposes quite well. The food served at each event and in the restaurant was fabulous - can't say enough about the variety and quality - even with a buffet style eve... Read more

The atmosphere is so...ahhhh. Spanish style theme, if you long for Spanish wines this is the place to find it. And paella. I loved our room. The staff was so nice, the food was excellent. The bath area is huge. One thing I would like to mention is that the water temperature in the shower quickly fluctuated between way too hot and not warm enough and the hand held shower head didn't have an adjustable rail so when mounted or place on the rail it kept falling on the tile floor. Oh dear! I thought ... Read more

This luxury hotel is one of the finest I've been to...and I've been to many! From the moment we arrived...everything was excellent. The service is quick, accommodating and the staff is truly service oriented. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite with a spanish style theme. Sometimes spanish style can be cheap looking but not this place. The spa was amazing....spacious and treatments were fantastic. Superb!! The staff at this venue aim to please. Need something? Ask! Our venue was the Palmera Salon and it was perfect. We hired the Mancini Band- sorry, just not certain how they bill themselves, but great music!! The kitchen put out a five star steak presentation for 37 of our guests. Cooked to perfection accompanied by delicious carrot and green beans. Sauce was sooooo good! I still dream about it. Other guests chose fish and vegetarian selections. One of the best places for an intimate destination wedding celebrations, breathtaking views, classy room decor, each room is actually quite different from the rest, friendly staff, truly a pleasure staying at the royal palms resort. I visited this place for a family wedding, and it was just the one of the best experiences. The only negative point was the weather which was extremely hot and dry in early june.

We stayed at the resort on the hottest weekend of the year in June. The temperature was 115 degrees. Having said that, the staff was amazing! We found every single employee to be friendly and extremely helpful. While sitting at the pool, they brought around frozen grapes and frozen drinks to everyone. What a great idea! The pool staff was amazing, they were constantly filling ice water and checking on the guests. Valet was amazing even in the heat. They were so kind and always helpful... Read more

We paid for the room some 8 months before our visit and were surprised on checking in that we had to pay $30 a day resort charges. After a 8 hour drive we were too tired to argue. Charges covered gratuities, access to Spa and internet access. The gratuities it transpired were only for the baggage transfers which was only done on arrival. It was nice but I was not overly impressed. Big complaint throughout the resort was smoking...cigar smoking. We have been to the Royal Palms many time over the past 12 years. It never disappoints us. We truly feel like we have gotten away from it all. The service is outstanding from the front desk to the Valet and Bellman. The pool service is exceptional coming to fill your water glass every time it's empty. We truly also enjoy T Cooks which is their fine dining restaurant. The chef is a true artist. Going in the summer allows us to spend multiple nights here. We will be back!

My 1st time at Royal Palms hotel was chaperoning a college prom there in 1963. Some dinners over the years and then my husband's 80 BDay in1994. My own 90th BDay in 2014. All were wonderful. Last week I went with my grandson for a marvelous dinner. He had the price fix dinner of spareeribs and other comfort food. and I had rack of lamb. I had ordered it rare but found it too rare. The server noticed and asked to cook it more. It came Back perfect. We rated that dinner very high.

When you enter Royal Palms, you are quickly transported to a lovely hacienda. The lush landscaping immediately encloses you in a warm cocoon, that shuts out the city. Everywhere you see paths, water features, and lovely plantings. I have to admit, a few times I needed help finding my way around the property. We stayed overnight at the Royal Palms, and it is certainly our favorite in Phoenix, with the old world touch and excellent service. The bar is very nice, we enjoyed great music, and then a wonderful dinner at T Cooks. Looking forward to another visit to this beautiful place!
