I was here on business. the staff was fantastic. The property had everything one would hope for at a resort like this one. The lazy river looked very tempting although I did not have a chance to swim. That will be for next time. I will definitely be back!

Went for a weekend getaway for my birthday. The first night we were put in the casita area in a one bedroom....we were moved to the hotel side for the next two nights. Not sure I would have a preference of which area I would prefer, to be honest. Anywhere you're at, you are near a pool. We found a pool tucked away that we would like to visit for some peace and quiet. If you're travelling without kids (as we were), good luck finding that peace and quiet! You certainly won't find it at the m... Read more

My family enjoyed the pools very much. The location was exactly what we wanted. The pool bar staff was great the first 2 days. but then they hid behind the bar on our last day.. Strange indeed. Our stay was at the end of the high season and the temperatures were in the 100's. Maybe this explains the mediocre service in the restaurants and gift shop, too. The casitas were perfect in size and cleanliness but had torn furniture, old carpets and the floors were warped. I will check out other re... Read more

It was ok. We had stayed there years ago as a family and I thought it was a little dated and run down and had not changed much in the last 7 years. Even had the same decor and couches from back then. The gardens needed attention, areas needed paint and the curtains in the main living area were worn for a resort.

Second time staying here within the past 10 months. Overall really like the resort, but this time we had a very unfortunate experience that happened to one of the people in our party. We were enjoying a day at the water park when my friend's bag was stolen containing his wallet, phone etc. Sure you could fault him for leaving his stuff unattended while in the pool, but the reality is who at the water park wasn't doing the same thing? Everyone had personal items unattended and some even had phon... Read more

The staff was nice, friendly but service at the pools was inconsistent and/or missing all together. We stayed on a weekend that was 110+, water is a must and we weren't allowed to bring in stuff from the outside then I expect awesome service which we didn't get and ended up leaving the area in search of something to drink. The room was nice but older, some stains. Expensive drinks and pricy food-normal considering it was on resort-just know that going in.

The hotel is decent. But I checked in digitally, then upgraded my room upon arrival. Apparently no one knew I was at the resort despite having access to my room and two keys. All the attempted purchases at the pool or any charges to the room revealed the room was empty. As such, I had to check in a total of three times to the hotel which was a huge pain. Poor security and overall guest service.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I came here with my family. They have an excellent pool and water park and you can order margaritas poolside. There were 2 in site restaurants which were convenient. The suites were very spacious, clean and well equipped. I would highly recommend.

We travelled around Arizona for a week and were a little tired from hiking and site seeing. the kids really wanted a water park break and got one here. We got a villa which was huge and fit us all very nicely. The hotel staff were very nice and helped to make our stay very easy and relaxing. There is one nicer restaurant near the lobby which is pretty good and a couple of cafés in the pool area.

Just left the resort early to come home. It is like 120 today, so predictably the way.er park is jammed this weekend, but I expected that. My disappointment was in the cleanliness, resort and room condition and fellow guests. With the crowding in the pool, a little untidy would be expected, but when your sons says look out there's a dead bird in the pool... Which, upon closer inspection was a big hairball, and it was very common to pull your hand out of the pull with more hair on it than you ... Read more

This place reminded me of a resort in the Caribbean. Was offered cold bottled water on checkin, and was in my room before I knew it. We got the 2 queen room which has a small living area. It was big enough and I liked how the living area was separated from the bedroom by the bathroom and doors. Allowed the adults to stay up and watch tv while the kids slept. The pool was great. First of all let me say that the staff at the Pointe Squaw Peak are exceptional and should be commended on their great customer service skills. I wish I felt this way about the property, but it has really gone down hill since we last came here. The room was very out dated, worn furniture, just felt dingy and dirty in there. It's disappointing that the water park is open to public- it should be guests only. It was so crowded. Because of the layout, it is very hard to keep track of kids, even older ones. Drinks and food at the pool bar are outrageously overpriced & all food is pretty much fried. I prefer resorts that have a little more healthy options. It was ok, but got price I was expecting a little more.

I am sitting in this dark room debating on whether or not I want to move my last night or just tough it out. I have stayed here many years ago and I am so disappointed. We moved from another hotel in Phoenix to stay here the last couple of nights of our trip. That was a BAD decision. When we checked-in (it was 4:00 in the evening) our room wasn't ready. Spacious rooms. Excellent staff services from the shop clerks, pool attendants, to housekeeping staff. Although we had plenty of fun in their mini water park, keep in mind you are only allowed (in our case) 4 guests per room for free. Our 5th guests had to pay $35. It's not all that. As with most Hilton hotels/ resorts, it's clean and well kept up. The resort is done up in a modern Arizona/ desert theme. The buildings are all painted red, olive green, and yellow. The pool is large with two water slides, and a lazy river. One of the best parts about this hotel is that it's only two blocks from the Phoenix Mountain Preserve which is great for hiking "if it's not to hot".

We rented a casita for a family weekend and it was great having it so close to the pool and we got a good price because were HHonors members. It happened to be a holiday weekend so we should have expected how crowded it would be but I was not prepared for how packed it would be. After 10 hours on the plane and a long time waiting in line to get through immigration it was so convenient to get a bus to the hire car plaza and then drive for only 8 minutes to get to the resort. Our huge room was a suite with a seating area and flat screen TV plus the bedroom with 2 queen size beds and another tv. Air conditioning was very efficient. It needed to be as it was 105 degrees outside. Our package included a buffet b... Read more

We had a quality stay at this resort. Staff was very polite and attentive. My only suggestion to local patrons is to call head before checking in. Our checkin time was at 4, we arrive shorlty after that and our room was not ready. We were faurly compensated for the slight inconvenience which was a nice surprise.

Year 14 for us at the Hilton! Had a great time again! The pool area looks better this year. They did some repairs along the lazy river and the main pool. Our room really needs updating now and I heard it will happen by next year. Fingers crossed! The service was very good both in the hotel and at the water park. The restaurants are decent. We had no complaints about anything. Thanks to everyone at the Hilton for another fun stay!

We got a handicap room, since it was cheaper, and paid a total of $190, which is pretty good considering everything included. There was a large sized living room area with TV with a sleeper couch that led into a sink area which is separate from the bathroom with shower. Continue walking through and into a big bedroom with a second TV. The bathroom area has a pocket door on either side so anyone using the vanity could close off the doors and not disturb someone sleeping. The quality of the room w... Read more

I like this place. The prices fluctuate sometimes, but overall, it's a great place to STAYCATION here in the Phoenix area when the temperature is just too hot. I like the lazy river, but I wish guests wouldn't abandon their tubes, because it creates a traffic jam of empty tubes. But that aside, I took three teens these past two years and they always enjoy the trip. Food can be pricey, and i wish there was more shade at the waterpark, but for what it provides, I'm very happy and will be back.

It was very nice. The Rico restaurant has some amazing food for a great value. I will give you one word advice after being sick for four days, strongly reconsider eating at the Bamboo China Restaurant. That comment has no bearing on our stay at the resort since it's a nonaffiliated restaurant and is off the premises but is within walking distance.

Front desk staff were amazing Corey and Josephine. We are some issues that were started to turn our "end of summer " celebration for my son and his friends. Josephine and Corey worked wonders to take care of our issues and get our celebration back on track. Thank you Hilton. As always, your customer service is second to none. My father, 14 year old son and I spent a couple of nights here after doing the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest tour. It was a very relaxing switch up. Our room was very well kept and had a separate sitting and desk area with a door. That was great if someone wanted to get up early or stay up late. Free Wi Fi and good a/c. There is the lazy river resort area within an easy walk. It was very nice with miniature golf, lazy river and other pool. There is also a pool for the complex of buildings and... Read more

When I booked this hotel one month prior, my 7 year old was the most excited as our main reason for coming here was the water-park and lazy river. Turns out the lazy river is very lazy.......its a very slow moving "river" ride in a tube where you don't even get wet. (I've been to 2 other lazy rivers where water falls on you or sprays you throughout your trip) After 2 trips on the very lazy river, my 7 year old agreed with what I was thinking.....pretty lame and disappointing. Ok so the hotel is a little dated but the rooms were clean and the staff were fantastic. (Shout out to Rachel and James at the pool bar who looked after us every day). My issue with this hotel is that lots of locals who are not even staying in the hotel use the pools at weekends. Whilst we were staying this happened each weekend. On our last weekend a couple had a room then proceed to call their family who all arrived with cases of beer, bottles of wine and food and proceed to set up camp at th... Read more

If you can spend the money head to the JW Marriott Desert Ridge! We have stayed there almost every summer but for some reason they were booked up so we tried this hotel. Our boys love lazy river trips, but this was a disappointment. We got a bit of a sales job at check in telling us we could upgrade our room for $50 a night, yet I would still have to share a room with my kids......You would have sold me w/ a separate room. Then we got a map showing us where to park which was NOT the close... Read more

We had a slumber party for my 13 yr old granddaughter and her three friends there. They loved the water park and lazy river. The room was perfect and food was great. The staff went out of their way to make this staycation birthday memorable for her. They even surprised her and her friends with chocolate dipped strawberries, cookies, and milk brought up to the room after a long day of swimming. Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful property and gorgeous views too.

We stayed here at the end of a trip including Sedona and the Grand Canyon. The resort grounds are pretty large, several buildings are included. The location is only 10-15 minutes from downtown, in a mixed residential/business section of town. Overall, pretty quiet. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite with two queens and a sofabed. There was a small fridge and bathroom was in between both rooms. The couch pillows were sunk in and not very comfortable for relaxing. Otherwise, the room was suitable... Read more

Other family members are repeat guests at this hotel, so we booked a family get-together here on their advice. The service was great and we had a wonderful vacation. The rooms are more than adequate and the staff was extremely helpful. In-room and on-site amenities were more than adequate. The restaurants were good, but a bit pricey. The property is very large and somewhat confusing. The signage helps, but I still walked in circles trying to find where I was going! We really enjoyed the L... Read more

I have been staying in this hotel quite a few times. Normally I come for business and I also brought family couple of times. Wifi is decent and restauraunt on site is good. If you need to work and have dinner in the room- service and food are good (until 10pm). Pool area is big and clean and there is a Coyote Camp- kids club (downside- it is $$ and requires minimal number of kids to open). If you need a bigger room- Cabanas are perfect (I often get upgrades based on status). In addition- Hilton ... Read more
