I booked a one-night stay at this property on a popular third-party website known for substantial discounts. The room rate was $50. With taxes and fees the total was a little over $61. The hotel must be one of La Quinta's bottom-rung properties, as it was very poorly maintained, and in need of a substantial renovation. For instance the shower head was so low on the tub/shower wall that, even though I am only 5' 10", I had to stoop to get my head wet. The only upholstered chair in the room ... Read more

Bums sleeping on lawn. Panhandlers in parking lot. Don't travel here without a gun. At least there is a Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks very close. Staff was not there to help. This was a very popular destination for truck drivers. Definitely the bottom of the food chain in Phoenix.

Booked a month in advance, great customer service. Down fall was the pool wasn't operating at the time due to remodel and wasn't aware until we got there. It was such a hot weekend that the pool would have helped. The restrooms need upgrading/remodeling. Didn't like that there was a lot of homeless ppl near the hotel sitting on the pathways and no security. The breakfast was good, waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juice, coffee, toast, bagels ect.

This La Quinta is a great place with great people working. It is not the best La Quinta by any means, but it is just what we look for. Property is clean and conveniently located. Discount at Denny's in the parking lot is very nice. Room was comfortable and met my profile at La Quinta. Food is fine, and the coffee is always hot.

The pool was all dug up and under construction, the exterior of the hotel needed to be DESPERATELY taken care of. Truckers parked there driving cabs in the hotel parking lot. Room although very nice and clean the front door had a side gap and would let in noise and light. Also, when we asked if we could get a ride to the airport (10- 15 minutes away) the hostess informed us that the LaQuinta vans (2 of them in the parking lot) were NOT for quest use to the airport, but for the truckers to use... Hotel was pretty good, fair number of homeless and prostituiton in the area; I tried to walk around the area, it is not that good, but OK. It was an inexpensive location that felt OK for me. So it was priced right for what you get. The pool was under construction

Have stayed at this hotel many times. It is located near central Phoenix and near the freeway so that you can hop on and go anywhere quickly. The rooms are always clean and I've never had any problems with the heater/air conditioner. Whether I'm traveling alone or with my daughter and granddaughter, I feel safe in this hotel. No riff raff hanging around at all. It is right next to a Denny's and you get 10% off of your meal if you show your key card. All around an excellent value for the mo... Read more

The la quinta IA in a sketchy section of phoenix, but very convenient to the Arizona State Fairgrounds. I always carry 2 guns and I have stepped over homeless people on the sidewalk and had bums panhandling in the parking lot, but never had a real problem. Dennys in the parking lot, relatively clean rooms and very kind and sincere people at the front desk. I have stayed here over 20 times and about 75% of the time I get the floor/room that I ask for. Arby's and McDonald's across the street ... Read more

My stay was real nice and it gave me a break away from many things. Some time in the future I might stay again for a longer period of time - maybe here in AZ or another state for a real vacation like FL, IA, or even Washington, D.C..

The front desk was slammed with people checking in, but Delores kept her cool and gave us exactly the room that we needed. She was very accommodating. And the two young ladies who were the morning crew, kept the breakfast moving, replenished items that were running out and they both had wonderfully upbeat personalities that brightened up the morning. The room was flawless. It was larger than expected, the bed was comfortable and there was a very nice eating/work table that helped keep our e... Read more

Great staff, room was very clean. It was a good choice on my part to come here to this La Quinta!!!! I wasn't aware of this, but if you eat at the Denny's next door, let them know you are staying at the La Quinta and you will get a discount on your meals!

last minute plans, this was a nice hotel, interior was very clean, nice size room, no micro/fridge but was not expected, outside grounds were untidy, staff was very personable and professional, near I 17 slightly noisy outside but did not disturb light sleeper

Overall very satisfied with my five night stay. The shower value automatically activated whenever I turned on water for a bath, so I had to either hold it while the tub filled or allow water to slowly fill the tub. The mattress was too soft for me. There were plenty of electrical outlets to accommodate my electrical needs. I was "solicited" twice by the same person while I was in or around my vehicle. Hard boiled eggs and yogurt were the two breakfast items which most appealed to my tastes.

Hotel needs to be remodeled, bathroom was moldy, fixtures were rusty and dangling off tub and had bugs crawling. Arrived very late, so had to run to Wal-Mart to buy shower shoes. Breakfast food run out early and staff said they would not be putting out more.

Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. AC blew cold air. Bathroom was clean (shower head pretty short). Staff was friendly, decent parking and access to the interstate, plus a Denny's right on the property. Breakfast was ok, toast your own waffles, muffins, bagels and fruit. Downside it's not in the best area (although I never saw anything overly questionable during my stay) and the Wifi rarely worked.

Overall solid experience for the price. Room was comfy and clean. Slightly awkward layout with very small closet space protruding in to room. No fridge or microwave (refrigerator is pretty standard for this type). Breakfast buffet was decent and well-stocked. I've had much better at other LaQuinta locations. After a 5+ hour drive across the desert, I was hoping for a soak in the pool, but it looked pretty sketchy. Nice that Dennys, Starbucks, Jack in the Box, Arby's, Circle K, McDonalds and Dunk... Checked in late. The front desk woman was extremely friendly. Military discounts given. Got to the room and noticed stains on the bed cover. Pulled the covers down halfway and saw a few hairs. Decided to pull the covers down the rest of the way and saw blood stains across the top sheet. DISGUSTING!!! Called the front desk and told them about this. The front desk woman brought me a wad of sheets and said to just put the other ones on the floor near the door and she'll tell the maid about it. So n... Read more

This was the first leg of our tour. We had booked 2 rooms but they refused to give us rooms next to each other. They were in 2 septate buildings. There are no lifts, so we had to lug heavy suitcases up stairs since they refused to give us rooms on the first ( ground) floor. The place is run down, leaking tap, broken bathroom lock, air-condition making a racket like a generator working next to you, and if someone decided to break into your room, you would wake up right away as the loose for boa... For an inexpensive place, about $70/night, you get what you pay for. Everything is average. Lots of freeway noise, an aging facility, but very convenient. It is just a place for a very shoert term stay. I would not vacation here or bring my family as the neighborhood is not real good.

Average Hotel. Well priced. Disappointed in my room's cleanliness when I first arrived. They changed my room the next day. Very satisfied with that. I would go back if in the area again. The daily breakfast was good, but lacked variety. Same thing each day. Thankfully there was a Denny's right next door.

We arrived on Black Friday of 2016. After doing some shopping, we decided to call it a night and headed to our room. The first night was uneventful and quite pleasant. The next day we has planned to hit a breakfast spot and do some more shopping. nice staff, but the rooms don't have fans that can run non-stop to drown out the noise from the freeway next door. Thus, I hardly had any sleep during my four night stay. I really like the staff here, but unless I could get a room away from the highway, I would not stay here again
